Lloyds switch offer 6 January to 3 February 2026

I already have 2 long-standing Club Lloyds accounts that I'm reluctant to downgrade and attempt to open a new one.
So I guess I will have to go for the Club Silver account and pay the fee for up to 3 months. Given the generous cashback (my last bonus from Lloyds was £100 in 2020), this seems to be a good deal.
Plus I get a third set of cinema tickets!
Any experiences of having the Club Silver account? I need to check I can exit it after I receive the cashback0 -
Are your two existing Club accounts a sole and a joint?granta said:I already have 2 long-standing Club Lloyds accounts that I'm reluctant to downgrade and attempt to open a new one.

My reading of the (general banking) T&Cs is that's your lot, you can't have Club benefits on a third account, beit the Silver, Platinum or anything else.

I have had it confirmed via Twitter that an individual can be named on a joint Club Lloyds account and apply for a solo one

Existing club account holder with regular saver
Decided not to over think the existing club regular saver and gone ahead. All very simple downgraded and applied for new account then set the switch date.
Cheers1 -
They are both sole accounts, have had them for many years. So if I downgrade one of them, then there's a chance I won't be able to get a second one again. Unless the second one can be a Club Silver?flaneurs_lobster said:

Who knows, the Terms are pretty clear and no doubt if you were to ask the question of Lloyd's CS they'd quote the same clause. Try it, but be prepared to a) not get a second Club account back, and b) not to get the £250 (because you already have a Club account open).granta said:

Did you have any luck with getting this sorted out in the end? I tried the current Lloyds refer a friend offer to someone that had no previous Lloyds products and they went through the long-winded app sign-up process three times with passport scan and selfie for ID checks, address info, income, what they had for breakfast, starsign etc, only to end with the briefest flash of a selection of accounts then suddenly a white screen with 'No Products Available' every time. I thought it might be due to security settings on their phone, but if you say a web application has the same result then it seems like there's something else causing it.john_l_k said:flaneurs_lobster said:
Your actions suggest that you are not an existing Lloyds customer?john_l_k said:I've been waiting for the Lloyd's switching offer over the Christmas period, and today it showed on mse.
I downloaded the app on my phone and applied, twice, with a "No products available" message ending my applications.
I then tried on my laptop, on the Lloyd's website, with exactly the same end result.
I have excellent credit history so can't see it's to do with a rejection.
Anyone know what's going on?
This switch offer is bound to be popular - the bribe is a decent increase on recent offers. Maybe their systems are just very busy?
Correct, I would be a new customer.
It's quite annoying as I passed the ID checks, added the account to be switched details etc etc.
Then with no real explanation as to the fail.
I'll give it another go later, or early tomorrow morning.0 -
how safe are these quick DD sites ? I’ve not used them before but thinking of trying the Lloyds switch but would need to set up some DD as only account I could use has none at present. Just a bit wary of giving bank details to someone I’ve not heard of before. I know why but it’s a pain they don’t accept switches from Halifax as I’ve got 2 DD on that and could easily set up one more but 3 new ones that quick is a pain 😫there are websites where you can set up DDs which will be much faster than others -Save 12K in 2020. I used 30pence for the first time yesterday, the DD has appeared on my doner account today. No debit yet.Clare43 said:

Gets the OK from the large swapper community on Reddit.
I've used onepounddd in the past, no problems, just delete the DD when the swap's over (and the booty has been paid).
Not so quick but "safer" - connect bank account (not debit card) to Paypal and pay a friend (on PayPal) 50p.
MoneyBox/Plum savings apps will probably take a week to set up and take a payment.
Plenty of charities will take a couple of quid a month by DD, but please let these run for a decent time (or for ever).1 -
In my last switch payout from Lloyds I used 3 30p DD without any issue
