Yep, from the T&Cs for personal bank accountsIs that true? (can't have more than one Club CA).
I had two in the past (though one was joint, and one was soley mine). You can have a maximum of one account with Club Lloyds benefits (either a Club Lloyds account or an Added Value Account with Club Lloyds) in your sole name and one in joint names.Downgrading to a normal current account takes seconds. Not sure what happens with any unused cinema tickets etc as I have never used those. It is also possible to have a Club Lloyds RS without a Club Lloyds current account (you only need the CL current account to set up the CL RS), though it might be safer to close any existing CL RS when doing this offer.0 -
I've got the Disney perk but it's unused - got a full-fat ad-free version on a deal elsewhere.Downgrading to a normal current account takes seconds. Good point about the CL RS - I was planning to renew it soon anyways to tie in the 6.25% for another year, it's 10 months into term.0 -

Your actions suggest that you are not an existing Lloyds customer?john_l_k said:I've been waiting for the Lloyd's switching offer over the Christmas period, and today it showed on mse.
I downloaded the app on my phone and applied, twice, with a "No products available" message ending my applications.
I then tried on my laptop, on the Lloyd's website, with exactly the same end result.
I have excellent credit history so can't see it's to do with a rejection.
Anyone know what's going on?
This switch offer is bound to be popular - the bribe is a decent increase on recent offers. Maybe their systems are just very busy?
Correct, I would be a new customer.
It's quite annoying as I passed the ID checks, added the account to be switched details etc etc.
Then with no real explanation as to the fail.
I'll give it another go later, or early tomorrow morning.0 -
So if you are an existing customer you can downgrade your account and then apply for a new account?

CheersYes. You can downgrade your existing CL account to open a new one. Your rewards will get cancelled more or less immediately.
My experience is that downgrading your CL current account after opening a CL savings product doesn't affect things.friolento said:flaneurs_lobster said:

My experience is a few years old (last incentive paid in 2022), but my experience was that LBG were good at spotting previous switches within each individual bank but bad at checking between banks. With all the inter-bank integrating they've been doing lately I wouldn't be surprised if they've gotten much better at this though.pecunianonolet said:Received switch cash on 26th January 2023 so just missed the deadline. How good is Lloyds in checking, don't want to upset LBG as they are notoriously causing problems. Wonder if humans are checking each individual account that is switched in or if that's done by AI0 -
I tried it on with the July 25 offer that had a since April 22 date, (my last incentive was Nov 22) and they paid out.PRAISETHESUN said:

Is it worth me closing my club Lloyds regular saver through the 'renew' process rather than waiting for them to close it and if I do will I be able to open a new one once the new account is open? My fear being if they close then the 12 month rule will apply.

CheersI've always been able to refresh mine. I don't see any reason to do so for this offer, although it may make sense to lock in the rate for another year in light of others cutting their rates. The third DD is going to be a struggle for me too. I'm already using Plum and Paypal and don't have a credit card that would pull early enough. I might have to give 30p DD a shot. Though I am doubtful Lloyds can tell if a DD has previously pulled.1 -
Not impressed with lack of confirmation of application (eg application number) but we'll see what happens...0
