I'm thinking they may close the regular saver as soon as I downgrade the current account. If they close it rather myself through the renew process then I may not be able to open until the 12 months have elapsed.masonic said:sheffieldeagle said:Is it worth me closing my club Lloyds regular saver through the 'renew' process rather than waiting for them to close it and if I do will I be able to open a new one once the new account is open? My fear being if they close then the 12 month rule will apply.
CheersI've always been able to refresh mine. I don't see any reason to do so for this offer, although it may make sense to lock in the rate for another year in light of others cutting their rates. The third DD is going to be a struggle for me too. I'm already using Plum and Paypal and don't have a credit card that would pull early enough. I might have to give 30p DD a shot. Though I am doubtful Lloyds can tell if a DD has previously pulled.0 -
That hasn't happened in the past. Some have run their RS for months after ditching the Club account. We're talking perhaps a day between downgrade and the new account being opened?sheffieldeagle said:

I have one Club Lloyds account and 2 classic current accounts and all 3 are linked to yougov so tinkering could end up in yougov no longer paying me points if the connection is getting lost. Also have an overdraft on Club Lloyds and I don't think downgrading, opening a new current account that is going to be a Club account will work. No gurantee that they would even give me a 4th current account.
Also got cinema tickets left I would need to use up first. If you could switch into an existing account I would give it a go but I guess I just leave it all as it is. The reward is tempting for sure and the highest I have seen.
The other question is if you can have a Club Lloyds account and a Club Lloyds Silver Account at the same time, sure the SIlver one comes with a fee but still good profit.
Paypal is an obvious choice to setup a direct debit (paypal is even sending you 1p you can keep to verify the account). Plum, Moneybox are easy to switch over and utility providers may also be an option, although this may take a bit longer but could be in time if your DD is taken on Monday 2nd of Feb. In the past it was only sufficient to have them set up and active not to have any money taken through them.1 -
Hi all. Someone help me out here please.
I (plus wife) have a joint Club Lloyds only. Am I correct in thinking that we can both switch in solo accounts from elsewhere to solo Club Lloyds and keep the current joint Club Lloyds? Thanks for any feedback.

Thanks for any feedback.yes I believe so, provided you havent received switching bonus for this joint a/c or BOS or Halifax since 1 Jan 2023EDIT - you may have to downgrade Joint account too, else it won't give you option to apply new club sole a/c unless you are ok to apply for Platinum or Silver0 -
I was able to downgrade my Club Lloyds account to Classic, and then apply for a new Club Lloyds whilst logged in and process the switch after that new account was opened. Set the switch date for the end of the month to allow my 3rd DD (Plum) to be taken in a week or so and confirmed via the CASS T&Cs that the switch process only starts 6 days before the Switch Date so plenty of time for the DD to be setup and taken. I didn't want to delay requesting the switch in case the offer is pulled prematurely (I recall TSB was only live for a couple of days in the past!)ETA - I've left my existing CL RS active as my new CL account means I still meet the criteria. I've not yet details of my new CL Benefits but it seems my previous Disney+ is still active for now.
1.4. The switch process begins 6 working days before the Switch Date. We will tell you that the switch is underway and when it is completed, and also if there is any reason why your switch request cannot be initiated or completed.

Hello everyone,
I have a club Lloyd’s account at the moment, can I upgrade it to silver account to get the switch bonus? My last switch payment was back in 2021 so no issues there. I am just wondering the best way to switch into it without setting up 3 DDs from another bank. Thanks in advance0 -
Sorry to be terse but have you actually read the terms of the offer? There's a link to them in the first post on this thread.simbasaver said:Hello everyone,

Read them and then if it's still unclear why the answer is "No" then come back and ask again.3
