MIA again. After many months of negotiations 🤣 finally had the parents go ahead to arrange for a few safety adaptations to be installed. Joiner and handyman coming next Monday but parents have now changed their minds! I give up 🤦‍♀️

Despite all this going on I’ve stayed on plan - and not even reached for wine despite being very tempted!

I’ve made a crustless quiche for lunches for the next few days and some lentil and tomato and red pepper soup for the freezer. Dinner was spaghetti bolognaise with Parmesan.

    Hello,

Sorry been MIA. Worked Monday and today and it has gone crazy - mortgage rates going up and lots of cases to be input plus boss and her niece have had a family bereavement so I’ve been single-handedly running the back office. Did 9 hours straight through today which was challenging but quite satisfying at the same time. In London tomorrow with DH - then working again Friday but only the afternoon as taking Mum shopping in the morning.

Made FB Mo’s fish pie tonight which was lush. Used some leeks from the community allotment that I planted out last year and we are now harvesting. So cool!

We are at a theatre matinee tomorrow, so lunch first. Possibly Pret or similar then SW carbonara when we get home.

Good job you didn’t need any treatment @bubbs !

Sorry need to read back for everyone’s news x

Blimey Coxy, all or nothing for you.

Enjoy the theatre. Yes was a good job, dreading how much it will be if we need a filling or extraction!

Morning! Lovely day here atm but due gales later??!! We are getting an 11am train to London and hope to be back around 7pm so DH can lock up thr school.

Yes definitely feast or famine for me - good job they kept me on. Was spinning many plates yesterday so didn’t have time for much food. Grabbed a satsuma and stuffed a soft pitta with lettuce from the allotment and some peri chicken - no mayo or spread as no time! Only did 132 steps all day 🤣 Oh well.

    Food today:

    B - Mini Weetabix, blueberries, 0% Greek yoghurt - Fibre, S, free
L - DH would like pizza so will see what time we have - SWIPs
    D - SW carbonara - P, free, Calcium
    Calcium - milk
    SWIPs -

Will take an apple with me on the train for a bit of speed!

That’s so frustrating @Jellybaby - I mentioned to Mum about having a smart energy meter fitted so she wouldn’t have to drag the sofa away from the under stairs cupboard to read the meter - she said ‘not at the moment’ - she’s nearly 84!! If not now, when??

    Morning all,

All the wind and rain is with me at the moment! Didnt sleep much and think it’s here til 8ish - and I might just have an early night.

Thanks @Coxy11 it’s (or they are) so frustrating! My aunt is also having some aids fitted and I’m hoping when they see them and she waxes lyrical on the benefits, they might change their minds 😉🤣🤣

Back to SW business 😁 I’ve had my usual fruit and yoghurt for breakfast (run out of cereal), it’s some of the crustless quiche with salad and pickles for lunch and dinner is chilli and rice from the freezer.

I’m planning a trip to the butchers on Saturday and a bit of a batch cooking session. Will make the usual bolognaise, chilli, meatballs, savoury mince etc.

Have a good day and stay dry!

    Afternoon all 😁

SSorry jelly missed your post yesterday, sometimes its like banging your head on a wall.

Mum says sometimes she's lonely, but she can't just get out for a walk, she bought a disability scooter just after we lost dad and thats 3 yrs in July and my sister asked her last week did she want to sell it as she is not using it? No , im plucking up the courage to use it, she's scared of breaking down, she is in a village, someone would soon help her.

My sister also takes her craft group on a Friday, but because my other sister wasn't going, don't think I'll go this week. This sister don't mince her words🤣🤣 said suit yourself but don't moan your lonely🙈

Anyway would have been mum and dad's 60th wedding anniversary today😪

Blooming Windy here too but I got 2 loads washing dry.

Beanie i know, was NHS changed to private 18 mths ago.

    Lunch was free

Tea curry 2 sv, naan fibre

So annoys me!! I will try again Saturday before SW
