Afternoon all 😁
What a wet , dark and miserable day!
Coxy your turn for the crap today 😢
Well DH has tried to get sorted for PSA test, had to book an appointment at the moment, 4th feb! Then the doctor will send a link no doubt, then wait another few weeks before you can get an appointment! If he does not hear tomorrow thinking the doctors will think logically , he will ring and say he does not need an appointment just a link to book blood test!
Well in good news, the money has just gone in the bank 👏👏👏
Been hairdressers for a chop today.
Lunch picky plate, half fibre, half calcium .
"fry" up for tea , free i am fancing mushy peas so might have them with it 🤣🤣Sealed pot challenge number 003 £350 for 2015, 2016 £400 Actual£345, £400 for 2017 Actual £500:T:T £770 for 2018 £1295 for 2019:j:j spc number 22 £1,457Stopped Smoking 22/01/15:D:D::dance::dance:- 5 st 1 1/2lb :dance::dance:0 -
What a palaver @Coxy11 with the cars. Hope everything can be sorted without too much expense.
Good news on getting the money back in the bank @bubbs and didn't have to wait too long for it. Hope the new place you've booked is as good as the original one.
Have made the meatballs ready for tonight. Just the korma sauce to make now. Need to work out the syns again as hadn't realised it also has ground almonds in it so will check how many swips that is and then how many per portion but don't think it will be too many. May even be able to have them as a Fibre choice but need to check in my book.0 -
Well done on your loss @Matron_Midge. You're doing so well, so close to target range.🤞🏼for next week.
What a performance for your DH to get checked out @bubbs. I do hope he gets his test sorted out soon. I'm sure we were better off when appointments were just written down in books.
How's your head feeling @beanielou and how are you and your mum coping?🤔🤗
Bad day on the car front too @Coxy11. Cars are like computers, great when they work.☹️
I'm not sure whether I'd prefer an office with or without food @joedenise . In my experience, there was plenty around but it always seemed to be chocolates and biscuits nothing remotely healthy.
Do let us know how you get on with the chicken jambalaya @Jellybaby. I usually make a syn free recipe that I found in a magazine years ago. I just use chicken and bacon lardons with the rice and veg but some recipes use chorizo. DH likes some pieces of garlic sausage or frankfurter in it but I just fish them out when I'm feeling virtuous.
I only had 1 potato with my lunch today so almost SP. I'll be grateful for STS this week or a gain that's smaller than last week's loss IYSWIM. We're eating out again tomorrow so just have to keep plodding.
Today's plan-
B- HEB toast, eggs (P), baked beans (F), HEA milk for drinks
L- LOs (P,S,F)
D- sausage casserole with penne (P,S,F)
Swips- BGTY sausages 2

Have checked the swips for ground almonds and it's 7.5 per 25g so will count as 2 swips per portion. Must remember to write down the swips on the freezer label when I freeze the other half.

Really pleased to hear that @beanielou. Take care of both of you. 🤗1

Another busy day today. We’ve just had jacket spuds with HM (yog not Mayo) coleslaw, coronation chicken and a massive salad. I have found that I love fruit in my salad and every couple of days I’m making up a huge tub of all the usual salady chopped up into small bits and then chucking in a tin of sweetcorn and some chopped apple or sliced grapes. We’ve had it at least once a day since new year.
so glad the money came in @bubbs x
@Coxy11 - blummin’ ‘ek, you couldn’t make that up. Nightmare on the car front.
@beanielou - I’m glad you and mum are on the mend and getting close to suture/staple removal. You’ll both feel heaps better when they are out.
@maman - you’ll soon be back in your target range too. I’m sure you deserve another loss having read your menu everyday.
Right, off for a shower, pj’s and the traitors with a tiny box of smartie minis which I think will be 2swips

Longwalker…..good to hear the jacket has given you new confidence. It sounds as if you’ve come a long way 👍
Bubbs it is so bad that your Dh has been left without support. Hope the test comes through soon.
Hope you get the cars sorted Coxy.
Not sure if it was Maman that posted about the festival in Broadstairs in the summer. Hopefully we might get to see it. Although we’re in the north west my Dd and family aren’t far from there. I remember taking my eldest gdd when she was a toddler to Broadstairs on the train from my dds town. We bought her an ice cream from a gorgeous Italian ice cream place……it was enormous. I didn’t buy myself one as I’d intended eating what she didn’t eat……she demolished the lot 😂😂 one way to stay on plan I suppose 👍 We also went one Easter to a food festival, it was thick fog - 1/2 mile up the road was beautiful sunshine and another time to a hops festival in Faversham. My ds has just bought a bungalow in the same town as Dd as he’s been made redundant and finishes work next week. He should get the keys in a couple of weeks. Then it needs completely revamping so I dare say we’ll be making several trips down there this year. The verdict is still out on whether we might eventually follow them to live down there…..watch this space 🥴🤷🏻♀️
So with everything that’s been happening this last couple of weeks….the threat of redundancy has been around for a while then everything happened within the last couple of weeks 😯 Including ds buying a house at an auction. My thoughts have been working overtime processing the logistics of it all…… especially at night and I’m not good when I’m tired. I’ve tried to stay on plan but not sure how I’ve done. I’ll weigh in on Saturday.
My brother had his op yesterday. He is doing ok….phoned me last night just to say he was ok…he managed 6 words and sounded very groggy…I don’t think he expected to make it and had a DNR put in place……just waiting to hear how he is today. I expect he will be home fairly soon though as I know he’ll want to get home and the hospital wants people out asap.
Today’s food
Breakfast - overnight oats with raspberry, grated apple, a chopped date and 2 walnuts (1st time I’ve tried overnight oats)
Late dinner/early tea - SW wrap in crimp it with cheese onion and little bit of left over potato to make a cheese and onion pasty with beans and actifry chips
Snacks - banana, satsuma 2 chocolatesJanuary spends - £587.580 -
Thanks everyone, just relived we have the money back as i said it was alot of money.
Yes i get angry how DH has been/is being treated and he says what's the point we both end up upset, be grateful it was found when it was.
Beanie, good news on both you and your mum 🥰
