You seem to have made loads of new clothes lately @joedenise. Wrap around skirts are a really good idea for holidays as they expand to accommodate the extra swips. 🤣

Hope you get some good ideas from the bathroom designers @Coxy11. We had ours done just before the kitchen and I really love it.

Well done on having the JP yesterday @Jellybaby. Today sounds like it will be more difficult to stay on plan. 🤔

We had a belated Christmas lunch with one of my walking groups today. Fortunately, plenty of choice so I had salmon with JP and salad. Only syns would have been in vinaigrette dressing. I had porridge and fruit for breakfast. Not sure about dinner, will ask DH what he fancies as he didn’t come to lunch so I may just snack on something light.

    Evening all 😁

Day started well as we went Company shop 😁

Get home, dh has an email, he is going what?! Can't be! It bloody well was.............Our air b&b was cancelled, we go a week on Saturday 😫 No reason given, we booked it last Feb!

Anyway looking for somewhere the apartment was on there cheaper!! We re booked it......20 mins later we get a cancellation and a note saying due to not being compliant with something , but it's confidential and can't reveal what,  they cannot rent it out and air b&b were removing it from the page!

After a lot of faff we have got somewhere from the Sunday, so booked Premier Inn for Saturday, now it's going to be a fight to get the refund as DH has a new bank card, he has emailed them as it is ALOT of money! Luckily we had the money to pay out again.

He also had a telephone appointment today from the hospital or so we thought , it was the Macmillan nurse, asking if he was ok etc, then she says you are over due a PSA test, now needs to ring doctor to get that, but i said to him i would have said, when she asked if he was ok, good job it is as i have not heard from anyone since last July time and had to fight to get my last PSA results, he said what;s the point , we both only end upset and i feel ok.

    Anyway company shop

I got ham £1.20 for the big packs wafer this ham and dated till feb!
3 large packs cherry plum toms 20p each
2 joints shoudllder pork for £1.80 each, they are about 2kg each 😁😁
2 havles of cucumber 10p each
    Some crisps for dh 50p.

    Food today

    Picky plate, free
Cottage pie, veg and gravy 2 syns

Great news on the losses everyone!
That air bnb sounds a bit of a fishy story, I hope the money comes back quick - like you said, it’s a good job you had some money in the bank to pay again.
I didn’t get round to posting my result yesterday. Pleased to report that my sulky weekend scoffing didn’t spoil things too much. I lost another 1/2lb so 7 to go to bottom of target and 1 to get back into range.
Next Monday may not be so good as we’ve got two meals out and drinks with friends this week. I’ll - in the words of beanie- keep plodding.
Still no naan at my Iceland but I did see the stand where they should be along with pancakes. I got some blueberry ones to try so I’ll report back when I have one.

Matron Midge, well someone else i know, was renting the one next door this month, but they got cancelled the day before they were due to go! They were told a flood but were offered somewhere else. Dh has just had an email saying the refund has been processed already, so he he's replied well it will bounce back to you then and then you can send to the right card. Will see what comes back this time!

    Well done on your loss

Well done on your loss @Matron_Midge 👏

@bubbs if the new card is with the same bank as the old one, the refund may go into your account as the details will be in your account history and the account number will be the same. That happened to me a few years ago so fingers crossed!

Morning everyone, a bright and damp day again. I’m off to salsa class shortly and no lunch out today 🤣 yesterday’s lunch was a bit of a disaster syn wise. I went with steak and it came with all the trimmings which I hoovered up!

I’ve had toast and jam for breakfast (counting 4 and HE fibre), lentil soup is defrosting for lunch and it’s chicken jambalaya for dinner (DS cooking so will need to check recipe).

Morning all, heavy rain last night and early hours this morning so very wet out.  It was still drizzling when we went out to take my friend to the station.  Will need to go out and pick her up again, and possibly her sister although not sure about that yet.

That's absolutely awful about the Air B'n'B @bubbs.  Good that you've managed to find somewhere else at short notice.  Good job you had the money to be able to pay again before you got the refund.

Hope you enjoyed the extra swips yesterday @Jellybaby - I don't mind having extra as long as I enjoy them but not so much if they're not enjoyable!

I hope you're only working the morning @Coxy11 with just an apple and some nuts to eat before you get home later.  Think I'd be starving.  Glad I didn't work in an office like that.  There was always food around - quite often at the end of my desk as I was in the middle of the team area!  There was often food in the kitchen area too.

    Today's plan:

    B - eggs on toast - HEB; P; 1.5
    L - fajita pasta - P; S; F; 3
    D - korma meatballs, rice - P; S; F;1 (PON recipe)

    HEA - milk
    HEB - bread
    Syns - LF spread 1.5; 100ml coconut drink 1

    Have a good day everyone.

Back from work. No @joedenise I worked 10am-3pm today. HM BNS soup has just been demolished. Same again tomorrow workwise - not complaining as I could do with the money. My colleagues had watermelon chunks!!

We had to get up at 6am today as DH needed to drop DD to the station. Her exhaust has come apart and needs fixing. He was then meeting DS1 at Ford in Maidstone as their all electric car has developed a fault. They were then going into work together.

DH and DD set off for the station and phoned me 5 minutes later having broken down in DH's car. TBF it's an 04 reg Clio that was DD's and he just uses it for work. I slung my coat over my PJs put on some trainers and went to rescue them. Got there to see DH's car now fully working but I still took DD to the station and let DH go to pick up DS1.

Apparently with DS1's car it's a known issue and they will fix for free, but aren't recalling any back - beggers belief.

Then to top it all, I drove to work in our 16 reg VW and the airbag warning light came on! I was really worried about driving it home but DH says it means the airbag won't deploy if I'm in an accident rather than it going off and suffocating me.

So that's 4 out of 5 cars with issues. Could not make it up!
