Morning all, looking very grey again but dry at the moment with rain forecast later - for a change!  Supposed to be dry tomorrow so will get the bedding washed and dried outside hopefully.

It was WI again this morning and it's another STS - no idea why as have had a good week and not gone over Swips so will just have to keep plodding and hope it catches up next week.  No plans for eating out this week so fingers crossed I can get a loss next Friday.

Brilliant loss @maman, you'll soon be back to target.

Is the only way to get a blood test at your GP surgery @bubbs?  At ours we can just get a form and go to the hospital in Sittingbourne and no appointment needed, just sit and wait which is what we usually do as the nurses at the GP surgery struggle to find my veins and always end up leaving with big bruises.

Are the naan breads nice @bubbs?  We've not tried them yet - mainly because I'd have to use Swips to use one as my HEBs are already planned earlier in the day.

Hope the car's an easy fix @Coxy11 and not too pricey.

Agree with others that the hypnotherapy is worth doing if it helps you @milann; I wouldn't worry what your DH thinks about it.

    Today's plan:

    B - mince pie baked oats - HEB; P; 2
    L - minced beef hash - P; S; F
    D - jerk chicken, rice'n'peas - P; S; F

    HEA - milk
    HEB - oats
    Swips:  mincemeat 2

    Have a good day everyone.

Morning all, torrential rain here and the forecasted snow for next week is now showing as rain but we’ll see.

Hope the car fixes aren’t too costly @Coxy11
Well done on the loss @maman and STS @joedenise
@milann I’d love to try hypnotherapy but a bit apprehensive! I’ve been listening to calming and relaxation sessions on YT to help get to sleep lately and so far haven’t made it through to the end.

Shopping day and I’m about to head out and pick up my parents. I’m on a tight schedule as a plumber is coming to fix a leaky sink so there’ll be no wandering about the supermarket looking at every item today 🤣

Food wise, I’ve had my usual fruit and yoghurt for breakfast and will have soup when I get back. Will decide on dinner when DS2 confirms his plans. It might be beans on toast for one!

Shame about your STS @joedenise. I'm sure you're a bit disappointed as you've stayed on plan all week but You're right it can sometimes take more than a week to show up (same is true of going off plan☹️) so hopefully at your next WI.🤞🏼

It was murky here first thing but cleared up now. If I'd known I'd have washed the bedding but it will have to wait until tomorrow.

Hope you didn't find the weekly shopping trip with the parents too stressful today @Jellybaby. I've not used specified relaxation or hypnotherapy tapes but I do find listening to the radio helps me get to sleep.

Sorry to hear it's not a cheap part for the car @Coxy11. Do you think you will get it fixed as you said it's really old?🤔

My meal last night was  delicious and not too bad on swips. I had prawn cocktail to start followed by sea bass with baba ghanoush and new potatoes. Syns would have been in some oil, mayo and the two glasses of Merlot.🤣

Meals likely to be quite eggy in coming days as I've quite a few gifted ones to use up. Back on plan now until next Thursday.

B- HEB toast, scrambled eggs (P), tomatoes and mushrooms (S), HEA1 milk
L- egg mayo salad with a few new potatoes (P,S,F)
D- meatballs with spaghetti in tomato sauce (P,S,F), HEA2 Parmesan
Swips- LTL mayo 1, weekend wine😊

Glad you have an appointment for Dh Bubbs…..pity it’s not until February. Lidl shopping sound good 👍
Jelly I was a little unsure about the hypnotherapy….it wasn’t cheap either but it was when I recovering from major surgery and getting used to the life changes it involved. I’d got myself in an unhelpful mindset and found it really helpful to reset my thoughts.
    I'm sure it’s a loss in waiting Joedenise 👍
Breakfast…..mushroom omelette, satsuma and banana 2 syns butter
dinner-hm broccoli, potato and Stilton soup a couple of syns for Stilton? there was a chunk of Stilton in a big pan full of soup so no idea tbh.
    tea- hm spaghetti bolognaise
snacks - fruit, heb toast with Philadelphia approx 2 syns.
Syns are approximations but well within limits.
I did share a flapjack with Dh yesterday in garden centre cafe.
My brother is doing ok and the physio has seen him 😁
    January spends - £587.58

    Afternoon all 😁

Denise, our doctors don't do blood tests anymore, infact they do very little! But you can't just turn up at the hospital for a blood test you have to have an appointment, to get the appointment you need to be referred 🙄

Yes i like the naan , i froze them individually and when you open the freezer i can smell them!

Fingers crossed for a loss next week .

Well i won't be surprised if i end up with a black eye! We was at the unit getting stuff for orders, DH being clever with the torch (more like a camping lamp) in one hand and went to pull a crate out and whacked me right in the eye with it! My god it nearly knocked me off my feet, he's going sorry, sorry, to effin late you have done it! When we came back was still really hurting so put a cold compress on it, it does not hurt now like it did, but been about 4 hrs since it happened.

    Food today
Picky plate, half calcium , half fibre, ham, beetroot, seafood sticks, cherry toms, watermelon

Tea, fake kfc, salad , might make some coleslaw

    Hi all,

Annoying about STS @joedenise but at least it's not a gain. Like others have said, I'm sure it'll right itself next week with a loss.

@bubbs so annoying about the blood test but at least now he is in the system. My DH is very clumsy and I regularly get the brunt of it. He shut my little finger in the car centre console last week - that smarted! Hope you don't get a black eye particularly as you're at group tomorrow.

I think anything that helps you rest your mind and relax is good @milann. I've just started going to yoga and I come away feeling very zen.

I drove the car to Canterbury today as it's DS2's birthday next week so I needed to get some bits for him. I used the park n ride as you need to sell a kidney to pay for city parking. A very soggy day but I got what I wanted plus took an apple to munch on, so didn't get tempted to stop for coffee and cake. I did get some little Champneys wellbeing candles in the B00ts sale - £2.50 - like a birthday cake candle with a little heavy stand. I'm going to use these when I WFH.

    Food today:
B - satsuma, toasted protein bagel thin, poached egg - S, HEB, P
    L - apple, JP, tuna, light mayo, salad leaves, pickled gherkins/red cabbage/silverskin onions/pink onions - S, free, 3
    D - spaghetti bolognaise - free, 1/2 HEA
    1/2 HEA milk
    Syns - skinny bar 3 plus 3 = 6 total

It's not black yet, so hopefully get away with it! Was such a wallop and they are big camping lights

Beanie not as ouch as yours!

Coxy Ouch to your finger too! and yes in the system, if they kept an eye on him this would not happen 😡 nice with the candles when working from home, we always have a candle or 2 lit

Morning - how’s your eye this morning @bubbs

We’ve been saying all week that the cheese from Christmas really needs to go, so a good while after dinner we had some. I had 4 small crackers with a slither of cheddar on each plus we each had a glass of cherry wine, made by a farmer in the adjacent village. We bought this at a Christmas food market and didn’t open it. So some syns there - counting 4 for the crackers and 4 for the cherry wine as similar to port. Cheese made up my second HEA. I enjoyed it all.

DH and DS2 have a whisky distillery tour today so DD and I will drop them off and head for the adjacent shopping mall. DS2 then needs to take a train to London for a job expo so I’ve said he will need coffee for the train journey to avoid breathing whisky fumes on people (and/or signing up for a job he doesn’t want…).

DH is out tonight so just me and the adult children for tea. They would like filled pasta and sauce, so I may just have a JP with salad and tuna to stay on track. Will see how I feel later.

Good luck to those weighing in today 🤞🏻

Morning all, it's lovely to see a bit of brightness this morning after all the grey days and rain!  Have washed the bedding and have it hanging out on the line.  There's quite a bit of wind so hopefully it will actually dry but happy to finish off in the dryer if necessary.

Hope you don't have a black eye this morning @bubbs!  Good luck to you and @jellybaby and anyone else weighing this morning.

You done well staying on plan last night @Coxy11 when there was cheese involved as well as wine!

We were good last night and had alcohol free G&Ts so just 0.5 syn for 2 glasses.  Only another week to go and I will have managed Dry January for the first time ever!  Never really tried to do it before but thought I'd give it a go after having so much to drink when we were on holiday in December!

    Today's plan:

    B - fry up with bacon - P; S; F
    L - burger, onions, mushrooms, chips - S; F; 0.5
    D - Beef madras, rice, naan - HEB; P; S; F (PON recipe)

    HEA - milk
    HEB - naan
    Syns - burger 0.5; maybe another couple of 0% G&Ts 0.5

    Have a good day everyone.
