    Morning all,

Weather was awful here first thing but beginning to brighten up now. Was happy with a 1.5 loss - even stopping alcohol again doesn’t increase the loss lol.

The raffle prize today was all the ingredients for homemade burgers and there was lots of chat around what people add to theirs. My mouth was watering so I’m swapping the planned fish cakes for burgers 😂

I have a day to myself so after some housework, I plan to clear out/tidy a couple of drawers that hold T-shirts and sweatshirts then an hour or two with my book.

When I got in from group I had a sweet omelette with banana, raspberries and f/f Greek yoghurt for breakfast. Counting 1 swip for 2 tbsps toffee syrup.  Probably won’t have lunch as I feel pretty full and dinner is the burger using jd seasoning, roll HE fibre choice, cheese HE calcium choice, loads of salad and gerkhins, and 3 syns for burger sauce.

    Have a good day everyone!

Well done on the loss @Jellybaby x Annoying about the little gain @bubbs - glad your eye is okay x

Busy day for me. Had blueberry wheats, blueberries and 0% Greek yoghurt for breakfast along with a satsuma.

Just had a black coffee at the mall then a JP with tuna, mayo, salad leaves and pickles when I got home at 3pm.  Also had a skinny bar with my coffee.

Now feeling peckish so will have a couple of crackers and cheese. No alcohol for me as I’m waiting for a call to collect DD from the station.

Morning all, not such a nice day today, had some rain overnight but forecast to be dry but cloudy.  Was pleased to get the bedding dried on the line yesterday - first time this year I've not needed to use the airer or the dryer!

    Today's plan:

    B - fry up with sausages - P; S; F; 2
    L - bacon sandwich, pickles - HEB; P; S; 1.5
D - duck breast, roast potatoes, veg - P; S; F (I'll be good and take the skin off!)

    HEA - milk
    HEB - bread
    Swips - sausages 2; LF spread 1.5

    Have a good day everyone.

Well done on your loss @Jellybaby. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Like @joedenise, DH is doing Dry January and he's disappointed that the lbs aren't dropping off. In his case though, he's still eating cakes.🤣

@milann I loved the phrase that STS, when you've been on plan all week, is 'a loss in the waiting'.👍🏼

Shame about the little gain @bubbs. Slimming World is such a mystery at times.☹️

At least your DD not needing a lift after all kept you off the alcohol swips @Coxy11.

I didn't get to post yesterday but stayed on plan. With eating out so often at the moment I'm just making the most of days when I am in control of my menu.

    Today's plan-
B- HEB porridge, berries (S), banana (F), HEA milk
L- ham and egg salad with new potatoes (P,S,F)
    D- roast chicken (P), potatoes (F), many vegetables (S)
Swips- LTL mayo, HM gravy 4, weekend wine😊

    Good morning everyone

Sorry I went missing again, not been too well, I have hardly any top teeth of my own and one has played up rightly , massive abcess, agony , so eating went to pot till the antibiotics started to kick in on Thursday, and then of course I ate around myself - bread, butter, crisps - all my triggers and more. I was so lucky to have got a STS at weigh in yesterday . I will really need to watch it this week as Im still just barely in range

@bubbs, its a nightmare getting the HC you need at the moment . Our GP still does bloods but we used to be able to just turn up and take a number and sit and wait. Now we need an appointment and they are as rare as hens teeth. And Ive sat there waiting my appointment and there might be 3 or 4 no shows , so the few appointments they do give out are wasted. Good news no black eye - commiserations on the gain . How do you get such good boxes in Lidl? Ours are £2.50 and rarely there and just loose bits and bobs

Good news on staples and stitches @beanielou   Hope you are both feeling a lot better

@Coxy11, nightmare on the cars !! Can I ask what Ford electric and what was wrong? We just got an explorer electric , not that Ive even driven in yet , but like you I make use of the cheap electricity at night, on go the dishwasher and tumble drier at 5am when I get up :)  Cheese and Cherry wine sounds delightful. Ive only a stilton left here, but Ive been saving my broccoli stalks and will make a soup with some of it tomorrow - Ive a big pot of Vegetable broth made at the moment

@joedenise, a sts is better then a loss, even though when you feel like you have worked for a loss its a bitter disappointment . Like you I fill the freezer with meat bargain as I see them . Im trying to empty at least one drawer at the moment as Ive a £50 meat voucher I won last year to use up

@Milan, yes Im in a completely different place to where I was when I started SW , I actually like myself now :). Hypnotherapy is something Ive thought about on and off over the years. My eldest sister quit smoking after just one session many years ago and Id really like to address my drinking.

@Matron_Midge what a great idea for the reading goal, might have to pinch that for myself cos I cant mind the last time I sat with a book  I get online and doom scroll

Fantastic loss @Maman, you have done brilliant to claw it back so quickly , it always feels better to be below top of range , the pressure is off

@Jellybaby , Im with you, missing the alcohol out last year for dry January didnt make me lose any more!! Well dont on a 1.5 though, brilliant

@Maman, doing your best on the days that you can is the only thing you can do. I never feel guilty about falling off plan , I enjoy what I have and just get back in the saddle for next meal  Some weeks are better then others

Well it was off plan yesterday for lunch - crisps, white bread, and butter but straight back on plan for supper - chilli salmon pasta packed full of peppers/mushrooms and spinach. The sauce being made with dairy lea lights and pasta water . Today will be turkey dinner with air fryer roasties and cauliflower , carrots and peas. Think I might go make myself some scrambled eggs in a moment , hens are still laying and the eggs are delish

And such miserable weather this week, and apparently snow before the end of this coming week. This winter has just been going on too long now. It's still past eight before it gets light although we are getting a stretch till around 5 in the evenings. Still not long before the clocks go forward

    Hi all,

Good to see you posting @Longwalker - commiserations on the tooth issue - can’t think of many worse pains than toothache. Glad you managed a STS and are back on it today. Unfortunately the car is an Explorer - a known issue but not a safety issue, so no recall.

Not sure whether I said our car needs a specialist to replace the part c.£850!! Also needs an oil service and MOT so hoping it can all be done at the same time 🤞🏻

Roast chicken is cooking. Cabbage from the allotment that I prepped and froze last year, LO sprouts from pie night on Monday. I also froze some leeks as they were on their last legs. Adult kids won’t eat them unless they’re in a pie, so I’ve ear-marked them for leek and potato soup.
