Happy Birthday Beanie ๐ฅณ๐๐๐ that does look delicious.
Hopefully you will be fine Denise.
Talking about ferries, does anyone know off hand if it's expensive to go Isle of Wight on the ferry with the car? and is it easy once you get down there ๐คฃ
Maman, i don't lift DH does, but he also needs to be careful, but it won't sell sitting in there ๐คฃ i got the sauce from either Morrisons or Asda can't remember but i used to buy it years ago from the Chinese supermarket

Happy Birthday @beanielou ๐ฅณ Lovely afternoon tea photos โค๏ธ
I ended up with one hi fi bar and a single mini babybel for my SWIPs plus the tbsp of LTL mayo with lunch. Iโve been using the planner on the app which has really helped me stay accountable.
Base of patio was compacted today and edging done. BIL back tomorrow to lay slabs with DH although DH also has a chiropractor appointment. Bedroom ceiling plastered. Another step closer to getting back in there ๐๐ป

There are 3 different ferries to the Isle of Wight @bubbs but the Southampton one is probably the best for you. That's run by Red Funnel and prices can be expensive depending on the dates, obviously highest now because of school holidays. Have a look at the website for the dates you're interested in.
When you get to Southampton, access is easy. The ferry terminal is close to the city centre.
Ferries also go from Portsmouth and Lymington (New Forest) . It doesn't really matter which one you get as nowhere is far to get to on the island.

Morning all (just!) it's a lovely day today, bright blue sky, sun shining with a nice bit of breeze. DH has done a machine load of washing and it's been line dried and put away. We've also sorted out clothes to take away and put most of them in the motorhome. Still need a few bits to go in but they will be in the final load on Monday so will go in the motorhome either that afternoon or Tuesday and then we'll be ready for the off first thing Wednesday morning.
@bubbs - we're off to the Isle of Wight (in the car) in October for a week and as we're in the Camping and Caravan Club we got a half price offer with Wightlink from Portsmouth but still not cheap - think it just over ยฃ100 for the week (can't remember as booked a long time ago!). We're renting a lakeside chalet on a holiday park we've been to before. Getting around on the Island is very easy but being older and having bus passes we tend to just use the buses as they are absolutely brilliant and run 24/7! Not like where we live where we have an hourly service from 6.30am until 5.30pm and no buses on a Sunday except during the school summer holiday!
I weighed this morning and was amazed to find I have actually lost a tiny 0.4lb - totally unexpected thought it was going to be quite a big gain. Still a long way over target and by the time we've been away I won't be surprised if I'm back where I was in summer 2010 when I first joined SW! Not planning on going back to SW at the moment but will definitely need to get stuck in when we return as it'll only be a couple of weeks until our holiday to Isle of Wight and then just over a month until our final holiday of the year end November/early December. If there's an offer on then I may rejoin but not making a decision until nearer the time.
Today's plan:
B - Weetabix, milk, fruit - Fibre, part Calcium, F (only had grapes)
L - jacket potato, tuna mayo, salad - P; S; F
D - fish pasta bake - P; F; 4
Fibre - weetabix
Calcium - milk (1+)
Swips - cheese sauce 4Have a good day everyone.

Well done @joedenise on your loss x
Good IOW ferry info @maman I plan to take DDad when heโs over again in September as his cousin lives there.
Well it was a 0.5lb GAIN today for me. Really not happy with that as food has been bang on plan with no cheating. I havenโt left the house much in the last two days due to no transport though, plus havenโt been keeping up with my water intake. I think I can attribute the gain to that maybe? The group relaunches next Friday so I really want a loss and will be gunning for it. Still 2.5lb above the stone bracket I want back (and havenโt seen in over a year) so itโs all to play for.Plasterer here again today and is doing the landing/stairwell ceiling. Feel like I canโt move for workmen but itโs all progress. BIL and DH working on the patio outside. Poor kitten is locked in the lounge with her water fountain, litter tray and food else sheโd be out the front door in a flash.
Food today:
B - banana, apple - free S
L - spinach omelette, BBQ Pop Outs - S, P, 3.5
D - roast chicken, salad - P, S
Calcium - skimmed milk
Calcium #2 - Mini baby bel x 3
Fibre - 2 hi fi bars
SWIPs - 3.5, rum and Pepsi max 3 = 6.5 total

Well done on your loss @joedenise .๐๐ผ I know it's only a small one but it's going the right way. Interesting that you might consider re-joining a SW group.๐ค
Pleased that you found the information useful @Coxy11 . We're fortunate that we can go for the day as foot passengers on the hydrofoil as we don't need a car when over there because, as @joedenise said, the bus service is really good. The ferry takes an hour each way compared to the hydrofoil which is 30 minutes. Foot passenger tickets are interchangeable so you can take a ferry over to take in the views and then a hydrofoil back .
I've done my meal plan and shopping list and will get that done later. I'm planning to make a curry sometime this week and add to the HM Ready Meals.
I've defrosted some chicken thighs for tonight. I'm not sure whether to make fake KFC or just put a spice rub on them. I make my KFC with dry couscous rather than instant potato. I know SW would probably call it a tweak but it does cook in the juices and I'm not eating an excessive amount. ๐ค
Today's plan-
B- toast, eggs, bacon, tomatoes (fibre, P,S), milk for drinks (S)
L- cold meat, bubble &squeak, pickles (P,S,F)
D- chicken (P), SW chips F), salad (S)
Swips- LTL mayo, weekend wine๐0 -
The only reason I'm reconsidering it is that I haven't been anywhere near target for about 2.5 years now and don't seem to be able to get anywhere near it. I'm currently about half stone over target and nearly into the next stone bracket which is where I started back in 2010.
I tried making KFC using couscous but DH said it was too hard and thought he was going to break one of his teeth so I usually use breadcrumbs.

Evening all ๐
Coxy that's a bummer when you have been on plan ๐ข this week will be yours ๐ช
Maman and Denise, thanks for the info, don't think we would go summer holidays, probably May/June or October time. I am just worried about driving on the ferry ๐คฃ We are just thinking about it as never been before.
Weather today is very showery, i said to dh going to put washing out and he said going to rain, i said think it's blowing over , famous last words ๐คฃ ran and got it in , put on airer .
Denise well done ๐, decide what is best for you at the time regarding group, i know i couldn't do it without the accountability . I feel like i have lost but if i have i will drop out of target if it's more than half a pound, dunno why i am worried as when i say i feel like i have lost, i gain usually ๐คฃ
Lunch
4 swips , half calcium.
Tea fake kfc, i find couscous too hard as well.

Sorry but I missed your little gain @Coxy11 .Keep plodding and all the good work will show up. Hopefully next week.๐ค
Driving onto the ferry is quite straightforward @bubbs .You drive up a wide ramp (no danger of falling off,๐คฃ) and then there are people on board to show you where to park. Everyone drives forward into a parking space and then drives off in the same direction, no manoeuvring. It's no more complicated than going to a car wash.๐
Good luck for tomorrow. ๐ค
