We went to Headcorn village yesterday. Village store (hardware, stationery, gifts and cafe) the only place open. I had a decaf coffee and small piece of blackcurrant sponge (best of choices) The Manor House only had ice cream available - no lunches being served so we were looking forward to our dinner booked for 6:15. DS1 was running late so we had to push our booking back to 8pm which saw us eating at almost 9pm 😳

M!ller & Carter verdict - pricey, however the steak was good. It was £300 for 5 of us…

I am WFH again today. Food will be:

B - AF bacon, tomatoes, mushrooms, poached egg, toasted bagel - P, S, fibre

L - yo sushi salmon poke bowl - YS Co-op buy - please may someone check the SWIP value 🙏, apple - ??, S

D - chicken and mushroom stroganoff with rice - free

Calcium - milk

SWIPs - rum n Pepsi max (during the match) 3.5 plus whatever lunch is.

Morning all, a nice bright morning but forecast to cloud over later. Decided to wash the doormats as it's been a while since they were done and looking a bit grubby - vacuuming them doesn't really do much other pick up any bits on them!

Hope there is better news re your BIL @bubbs. Hopefully it is just the anesthetic causing the problems with his BP and heartbeat.

Headcorn is lovely but the shops often seem to keep funny hours and definitely nowhere to SW friendly food!

DH has a GP appointment - face to face for a change rather than a telephone call - re his hearing. He had his ears syringed just over a month ago but hasn't made much difference to his hearing. I suspect he needs hearing aids but we will see.

We're going to go down to Canterbury afterwards and have some lunch and I want to try and buy some more shorts and hopefully a new swimsuit and bikini but not desperate as not needed until November but very difficult to buy nearer the time as it will be all winter clothing!

Today's plan:

B - baked coconut oats, yoghurt, fruit - Fibre; P; S; F; 4
L - jacket potato and salad- probably a few swips for oil/dressing
D - bombay style chicken and potato traybake - PON recipe from Budget book - P; S; F

Calcium - milk
Fibre - oats
Swips - coconut 4; lunch - 3?

PS. Shortly after posting I had a call from the hospital to book my thumb joint replacement operation! It's going to be on 28th. Just over a week after my pre-op on 20th. Surprised how quickly the op is going to be after the pre-op. Only saw the consultant in late February, thought it would be later in the year as he said waiting times were 6-9 months.

Morning all 😁

I will let you know soon as i hear about my BIL, my sister is going today, she said he was so upset when she face timed him and was crying 😢as they said he would be there longer than Saturday if he has to have a pacemaker. I said not to worry about letting me know till she had seen him.

The hospital had told her not to go but her daughters boyfriend is taking her today as she won't drive that far and tomorrow a different daughter taking her.

Does anyone use Pharmacy to U? r any other online prescription service

Bloody problems with dh prescriptions again, with Boots not the doctors.

I booked an appointment today for my arm/shoulder again as something is not right with the pain i am getting even taking tramadol! Next Thursday is my appointment so that's not bad and i am seeing the same doctor i saw last week as he was nice so requested to see him.

Coxy blimey that's alot! good job it was nice!!

We was out at 7.30 as DH had cancer bloods at 8.20, so been shopping , home and all put away an hr ago.

Very cloudy here too today we did have a drop of rain last night

Tea we are having sweet and sour, suppose i will have a picky plate for lunch 🤣

Afternoon all, I need to read back and catch up with everyone. I spent Monday night in A&E with my dad, eight hours in total and we were told he was fast tracked due to his age and what was wrong! Yesterday we sat for six hours at an outpatient clinic - they were short staffed and running late.

Food has been fine this time round as nowhere was open so I didn’t have dinner on Monday and missed lunch yesterday! Today, I’ve had the usual fruit and yoghurt with 40g granola and dinner is katsu curry courtesy of DS2 cooking. Probably high swips but will go with the flow 😁

Didn't get our planned lunch and afternoon out after all. DH's appointment was 11.20 but didn't get in to see the Dr until 12.25 so decided it was a bit late to drive to Canterbury for lunch - it's about an hour away! We came home and fortunately I'd got some chicken thighs out so we had chicken fajitas - just needed to slice everything and defrost the wraps which didn't take very long at all.

Sorry to hear you were stuck in A&E with your dad on Monday night @Jellybaby and then 6 hours in an outpatient clinic. That's a long time to be stuck in hospitals.

Enjoy the katsu curry which your DS2 is cooking for dinner tonight. I wouldn't worry about the swips after missing dinner Monday and lunch Tuesday! It'll all even out over the week.

My BIL is still in intensive care recovery as his blood pressure is so low and his heart beat is still low 40 beats per min. My sister is still there.

Sweet and sour for tea , 6 sv , egg fried cauli rice, bns chips and naan bread , fibre.

Lunch was free picky plate

Yes Headcorn is cute but not a lot there! We went to Godinton House after - lovely gardens to aspire to!!

I did 8.5 hours straight today - flipping knackered. Had poke bowl - no dinner yet as we are watching the football and going greyer by the minute. Both adult children out so will probably do the chicken supreme tomorrow now.

Morning all, there's a definite cooler breeze this morning. Think it'll definitely time to be wearing a cardigan when we go out! I have a waxing appointment later this morning - I popped in on Tuesday first thing to see if she could fit me in but unfortunately she was fully booked and late morning today was the earliest she could squeeze me in! Doesn't help that she's gone down from full time to 3 days a week so now she's always busy!

Not even heard of Godinton House @Coxy11 - will have to check that out as love looking round gardens - not that we can do anything like it in our postage stamp sized garden! It is literally 12" at the very back as we're on a triangular plot - the front of the property is 90' so gets narrower the further you go back! We have loads more space at the front than the back and half of it is block paved for parking!

Today's plan:

B - mushroom omelette - P; S
L - jacket potato, roasted Mediteranean veg, salad - S; F; 4? (assuming we get to Canterbury today!)
D - fish pie, veg - P; S; F; 4

Fibre - none planned but maybe some Ryvita this evening with cheese
Calcium - milk; cheese?
Swips - oil/dressing 4? cheese sauce mix 4
