    Afternoon all,

Gutter is fixed, bought drain rods but DS2 doesn’t think it’s blocked it’s actually the access cover that’s causing the problem. Last year a roofer broke the screw and the bottom of the cover trying to get it off and it now sits on it but is obviously not sealing it. Unfortunately being 80+ years old I can’t replace easily. Now to find a solution. Exciting stuff here!

Breakfast was the usual fruit, yoghurt and granola. We’re having steak for tea too @bubbs 😋

Glad your gutter is fixed , Jelly you are doing well for 80+ years old 🤣🤣 Seriously hope you manage to get it sorted.

This steak is beautiful, Don't look like i had much for me, but i am full, 1 sv for coleslaw .

This is what we always have but there has never been any fat on it and it's so tender and juicy.

We decided it was just too warm for a roast so we ended up with some Ryvita, cheese, pate, couscous & salad - both agreed it was nicer than a roast! It's similar to what we were having every lunchtime in France (but baguette rather than Ryvita of course!).

I've cooked the chicken so we'll have that cold tomorrow with some chips, beans & salad so it won't be wasted.

Did some shopping today including more chicken thighs, both bone in and boneless plus pork steaks. Have all been portioned up for the freezer so it's not looking quite as empty now!

Was going to go to Asda for a change but the bridge coming back onto the Island was closed again for emergency repairs so decided to stick to Tesco today. Will try Asda when I need a biggish shop - will stick to the Island for top up shops which hopefully I won't need too much, probably just some more yoghurt & fruit next week and probably some more salad.

The steak looks good @bubbs and a good price too.

Denise, like a winters day here compared to last few days 🤣 No it is still hot just not humid!

It is lovely i always put some jd seasoning on mine and with the offer it's a good price and i also had a £20 off £50 shop, so stocked up! Was lovely and pink inside too, when we had it couple of months ago i did it on George, but wasn't that juicy so last week and today i did it under the grill and was perfect 😋

Morning all, so glad the really hot temperatures are gone and temperatures are much more normal for the time of year. It's lovely and bright with a bit of a breeze. Final load of washing will be done today and out on the line to dry. The wash bin is virtually empty for now with just a couple of things in it.

    Today's plan:

B - Weetabix, milk, strawberries - Fibre; part Calcium; S
    L - bacon & mushroom sandwich - Fibre; P; S; 1.5
    D - cold chicken, chips, beans, salad - P; S; F

    Calcium - milk
    Fibre - Weetabix; bread
Swips - LF spread 1.5, may have an ice pop later 2?

Can someone check the swips for the long ice pops for me please?

    Have a good day everyone.

I found a new pudding in lidl today 1 sv, This will make a lovely cheesecake, i am going to do that once i have some more as we both had one after our lunch, i just bought 2 to try.

1 sv each, they are 200g pot

I like the look of those puddings @bubbs i love anything lemon 🍋

I’ve weighed in as usual this morning and today shows a 0.2kg gain.. I’m not surprised or bothered as I am a maintainer.

My challenge for June overall has gone well. I’ve lost 1.2kg (2.6lbs) which sees me at the bottom of my range. I now have a bit of wriggle room to go on holiday in a couple of weeks time and I’ll keep on trying until we go.

The hot weather really wiped my out but I just kept reminding myself how it would have felt if I still had an extra 3.5 stone on top.

It’s cool enough here for the oven to go on here so tonight we are having roast chicken, SWchips and salad. One of my favourites I’ve also even having full fat natural yogurt (Odysea brand) and it is absolutely delicious. I got it in Sainsbury’s cos there was no 0% left on the shelf. Does anyone know the swip value please? It’s very filling and I’ve noticed that the tubs are lasting much longer than the same size 0% one - maybe I’m being sparing with it..I’m not sure I’ll ever want to go back. Maybe as I’m a target member I can compromise hmm 🤔

    Hi all,

Didn't get on yesterday as was on a needle felting course - very good fun. Don't think I'll be taking it up as yet another craft, but I had a giggle with some of the other attendees. Just DH and I for tea last night and we had some of the Aldi frozen protein chicken skewers (salt and chilli flavour), cous cous and salad. Was really nice.

A 2lb loss for me this week - swing and roundabouts - but all good.

Today I've worked all day from home. Other admin is off and boss wasn't at home for some of the day. Had spinach omelette for breakfast and a protein thin with chilli cheese slice and lettuce for lunch (at 3pm). Dinner is pork and apple burgers with coleslaw and salad.

I too was chilly in the night - can't make it up.

    That blooming bridge @joedenise !

Glad you got the gutter sorted for now @Jellybaby x
