Morning all, we got back at about 5am! Had a cup of tea and then went to bed for a couple of hours! We did get a bit of very disturbed sleep on the plane so think it will be an early night tonight.
I've been reading along while I've been away and want to say well done to all the losers. I haven't weighed this morning but will in the morning to see how much damage has been done - hopefully not too much as have been pretty good with food with lots of lean meats and salads every day although was ill a couple of days so just had dry foods like hard boiled eggs, dry roll with lean meat and no salad or veggies. Glad to say I was back to "normal" for our journey home yesterday.
We had a lovely holiday but have to say Sharm airport has definitely put us off going back there! Our hotel was absolutely amazing and the staff were all 5* just like the hotel! We couldn't have our booked sea view room as was upstairs and no lift and no way can DH get upstairs without the lift so we had a downstairs room which still had a bit of a sea view just not as good as it would have been.
We had an invitation to the Managers' Cocktail Party on the Thursday and one of the managers came and sat with us and started chatting - turned out to be the General Hotel Manager and he asked about our room and DH told him about not being able to use the room we paid for next thing we know he's called another manager over the told him to find us a better room! We ended up with a Swim Up Room instead which had an amazing sea view! So certainly a good use of a bit of time for the Cocktail Party! So had a swim most days after that so at least that was some Body Magic!
As you can imagine we need to go shopping as not much in so I've done a menu plan for the rest of the month. Won't be able to buy any freezer stuff though until at least the weekend when we get our new freezer delivered.
So today's plan:
B - weetabix, frozen fruit, milk - Fibre, Calcium, S
L - Toasted cheese sandwich, pickles - S; 12
D - butternut squash & chickpea curry, rice, mango chutney - P; S; F; 3Fibre - Weetabix
Calcium - milk x 2
Swips - Cheese 6; bread 6; mango chutney 3Bit overboard with the HEs so needed to Swip a couple but still within range for the day - just about!
Have a good day everyone.

Good to see you back @joedenise and to hear that you've had a lovely holiday. You really fell on your feet with that swim up room. Luxury! 👍🏼
Sounds like this hotel's range of food was better than some of the places you've been to recently. 🤞🏼you've not done too much damage. I think you've done really well to put a menu together today before you get any shopping done.
I had garlic mushrooms along with last night's chicken and chips and they were delicious. This is the first time I've used the Seriously Strong cheese for the sauce instead of the usual Primula and it's so much better. Also had English asparagus, edamame beans and tenderstem broccoli. We love our veg!😋
We need to eat early as I have a meeting this evening. This is where HM ready meals from the freezer are so helpful. I'm using the last portion of meatballs tonight, last chilli tomorrow and then really need to do some more batch cooking.
Normally, I do my batch cooking on a Saturday but this weekend we're meant to be going to Wembley again. We have tickets but still to find out whether the match is on.
D-Day in Spygate - what happens next? - BBC SportToday's plan-
B- toast (fibre), milk (calcium1), eggs, bacon (P), baked beans (F)
L- LO cold meat, veg and pickles (P,S,F)
D- Spaghetti with meatballs in tomato sauce (P,S,F), Parmesan (calcium2)Swips-0

Glad you had a good time Denise. The Swim up room sounds good. Pity about the lift. This is exactly why I never go away.

Thanks everyone. I'd already decided on today's food before we went away and made sure I put 4 slices of WM bread in the freezer, cheese is OK in the fridge. Weetabix is always in the cupboard and I got out the curry from the freezer.
I hate not having my 2nd freezer at the moment as could have picked up some YS meat in Tesco's this morning - I did pick up a pack of very lean beef cubes which I squeezed into the space the curry was in and moved a couple of rolls into another space so I could get the box in!
It's good to have home made food again! Much as the food was fairly good at the hotel it most certainly wasn't home cooking!
I saw something about that Spygate thing @maman. Do hope the match goes ahead for your team.

I often buy tinned veg when we're in France as they're really handy in the motorhome. I really like the tinned beans. My favourite is the macedoine mix (finely diced mixed veg) which is lovely mixed with a bit of yoghurt or mayo to add to a salad.

Evening all,
Sounds like you had a fab holiday @joedenise jealous of the swim up room sounds very luxurious!
Those tablet boxes are the same in every family 🤣 I fill my parents up on a Sunday night and they question contents every single day 🤣🤣🤣I’ve decided to change cars so busy researching - this is the bit I hate. Anyway food been good but swips taking a bashing with alcohol 🙈 whilst it’s not great, it’s definitely a lot less than I previously would have had so taking that as a win.
My solo trip to Tenerife is at the end of June and hoping to have lost at least half a stone so something to aim for.0 -
Yes Denise, will def get some in, i really don't like frozen veg apart from peas.
