Another quiet day planned today. Thankfully little miss has decided against doing parkrun. It's not too hot here yet, but getting warmer later.

Well done on the weight loss, 2.5 stones off is brilliant!
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping) -.literally have been run over by a bike, mobility scooter and a car - still here 💪1 -
Thank you 😁 I do feel much better for it.

Happy Monday! I'm not going into the office this week, much rather sit at home with a fan and an endless supply of iced water and ice lollies! If the office had air conditioning, it would be different, but it doesn't so I'll be more comfortable here.
Little miss has volunteered to represent the school at a strike and field event tomorrow. I'm hoping they cancel/postpone it, as it's on a field with no shade. I could have done without it as well to be honest as I'll have to leave work early, but it was a last minute thing.

Little miss's event tomorrow is cancelled thankfully. So is little jwil's school trip, which is a shame, but I won't complain about the refund!
It's been chucking it down and thunder and lightning for the last hour or so here. It doesn't seem to have made any difference to the temperatures.
A neighbour has just reversed into DH's car. sigh. There's always something. It doesn't look like there's much damage thankfully.

Hope you all stay safe in this heat jwil 🥵 I’ve seen the severe heat warnings not to travel too!
Sorry to hear about DH’s car, hope it’s not too bad & neighbours pay up or their insurance does

Thank you both :) The neighbour did offer to share their insurance details but DH said not to bother. It's a small dent and he'd rather not claim on insurance! It just seems to be neverending.
It's so hot! We're in the red warning, so little miss's school is closed today and tomorrow. Little jwil's seems to be about the only one that's remaining open - he's not impressed! I'm having to work with a fan on me and my laptop to stop it overheating.
I was meant to meet a friend on Friday, but we've postponed. Although it's meant to be a little cooler, it's still going to be 28 degrees so I don't trust that the trains will be fully operating and I am not sitting on the M5 on a hot Friday!
