My mum & my mum were/are disappointed in me. Also my mum is a hard act to follow in some ways. Sigh.

Tough gig innit … 🤷♀️
Sending hugs x
Shoulder has been horrendous today, not helped by having to drive an hour each way to my hair cut.
I stopped off in the market town I used to live in on my way home, to go to the ‘old lady’ clothes shop for their awesome bra section and got some new under scaffolding 😊 I was going to have lunch there but was so fed up with my shoulder I grabbed some ‘nutrient dense’ bits for lunch and came home early.
I had to ask Mr KK to put my hair up for me as I was hot and fed up and I can’t lift my arm to do it. The result, after two attempts, was hilarious, think birds nest!! 😂😉❤️😊 But at least it was up!Didn’t do a lot in the afternoon as shoulder 🤷♀️ but did set up the cat trap - madam has already stepped into it to eat treats …
Also did all my financial updates. Ouch, my EF has taken a proper hammering with all the spends on the car, France etc lately …
Two grafted plants, a sweet pepper and a cucumber arrived this evening. Both a bit droopy and sad, but I gave them a good soak for an hour or so and they are looking a lot happier 😊 Need to get them in the ground in the greenhouse tomorrow, somehow …
Abandoned another library novel, c. half way through this time. It’s a translation from Norwegian where a male writer is writing from a female perspective. It’s really not working for me …

Ouch, huge sympathy for the shoulder. It is miserable having to get people to do basic things for you isn't it. Mr PIP is often having to take my clothes off, and not in a fun way 😁

Thanks @Cheery_Daff , I abandoned the dreary Norwegian book and started one about people who travel back in time to observe historical events as they actually happen … 😉 Much more engaging 😊
@Brie still really bad. I think I am going to have weeks of this again … <sigh>
@PennysIntoPounds , yup, there is an indignity to it that is quite hard to handle …
I managed to get the pepper and the cucumber in the ground, in the greenhouse. 😊
Tried to make soup but I think the flame blew out when I was out in the garden and it was supposed to be simmering so I had to start it up again. It’s cooling in the dining room, so I will have to process that later.
Wrangled LOTS of Mr KK’s washing, but at least it’s all dry and out of the way now.
Picked strawberries 😊 Not sure what weight yet, but a big bowl full. Hope we have some ice cream that can go with them …Weeded, watered and mulched my potatoes and sweet peas bed. Mr KK helped by barrowing up two big bags of HM compost from the bottom of the garden. 😊
Read a bit of novel, Duolingoed and carried on rewatching Riot Women which is cheering me up no end 😊

A rubbish book is always a disappointment!
Being asked the HARD questions about your mum - I wouldn't want to answer that.
It has been a great weekend for laundry and a terrible one for getting anything done in the garden.

oooooh that book you are now reading sounds interesting. Is it the Oxford Time Travel Series?? (I've that on my list to read)
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Well that sounds a very productive and pleasant day so well done you. Is it worth checking out if there are other private or NHS physios near you who specialise in this sort of thing?

@Merlin's_Beard, I think the mother question has resonated with a few people I have mentioned it to … This coming weekend isn’t looking much better for gardening either 🤷♀️ But I’m still enjoying the book 😊
@PennysIntoPounds, I wouldn’t know how to find that kind of specialist physio, and round here they seem to be quite rare any way …
Apologies for the radio silence since the weekend but I have just been bone tired … Both shoulders are fairly kaput now, so sleep is a precious and rare thing for me at present ….
However, I do have some positives to report:
- Had a useful run of surveys on 3ureka this week (after months of diddly) and paid out £4.51 and £9.10 as OPs 😊
- We have landed a huge capex in work which means we will be getting £900K+ for a new machine for a new customer, the technology of which will bring us into this century - huge relief for all!
- Did review for my H&S assistant today, even though he isn’t any more, and gave him some quite tough feedback (as well as some properly solid praise) and some real points of development. It became clear in our conversation today that he used to be a manager, acts the fool to minimise the responsibility he ends up with (then ends up frustrated because people treat him as less able than he is - well duh 🙄) and doesn’t rate any of the management team except me … I think that’s a compliment ….? 🤔😂😉😊
- I had 300g of strawberries on Sunday - £5.40 - and we just had enough ice cream left to have them with 😊
- Harvested the first broad beans this evening - truly lovely - £3.55
- Updated my produce tracker and the value in my signature 😊
- Measured myself for my final coaching report tomorrow and I am DELIGHTED to be able to say, I have lost another cm from my waist - that’s 8cm since end of February! I still have a way to go but I am really, really pleased with that 😊
Not too bad overall I think 😊
