Thanks for the book title KK. Have added it to the reading list. Currently reading a lot of books about the heart and biochemistry in order to be better informed
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

The thing is I’m using ‘hanging’ because I’m getting so tired now I’m getting stupid over simple things (couldn’t close the conservatory door yesterday because although the or was open, the lock was engaged) and really clumsy (I’m constantly walking into things and bruising myself or dropping things). Slept in until 7.30 this morning and still feel utterly drained.
Thanks @beanielou and @skint_spice 😊 You too x
Hahahaha … that thought crossed my mind too, and it’s why I didn’t put a development point in about his confidence and self worth levels - it’s not strictly work related after all. But, he can’t be frustrated about what’s happening around him, and even to him, in work if he is deliberately refusing to engage with it all … 🤷♀️ I did put in a specific development point about expressing himself more clearly - he’s been using being vague and woolly as a means of hiding and we have no capacity for ‘passengers’ any more! I’m also going to have a quiet word with the lead of a project that my ex report has decided he does want to be involved in (as it will directly affect his job role), to highlight his previous experience and make sure that my ex report does get asked his view and does get it heard. Ex report doesn’t know that I will be doing this … 😉
Hope you enjoy the book and it acts as light relief to the heart and biochemistry stuff.
This is a bit indulgent, but I’m about to get changed and go into town to treat myself to some yarn and a simple pattern for either crochet or knitting (depends what I find) so I have something to take to France with me 😊KK

Thanks @beanielou, it really is a bit indulgent but a) I wanted something simple, easy and satisfying and b) I wanted to support the yarn shop as they have had their window broken recently and are not sure if they can afford to fix it …
It was only 5 balls of the yarn and the circular needle is a super whizzy thing where you can screw metal or wooden ends onto varied lengths of cable - I do love a good gadget! (I take after my Grandpa in this! 😂😂) Cost £29.something. I’m okay with that 😊
Not a hugely productive day 🤷♀️
- Another load of washing done, dried in conservatory as weather so erratic today.
- A wander round town, as above 😊
- A new pair of smaller marked down M0untain Warehouse trousers found in their perennial sale - bit tight atm, but I am determined to keep shrinking! It will be another incentive! 😉
- Ironed (me, ironing!!! 😳😂) three new tops, they came out really well. Three other tops left my wardrobe to make space - one has become a gardening top, the other two are off to charity.
- Made the orzo, Parmesan, yogurt, lemon and beans dish for lunch again - very good 😊
- Watched an episode of Ivor the Engine!! 😊❤️❤️
- Tip run, and then navigating around the streets of R###-Vegas with various road closures, to try to find our way out again after diverting into town, we thought briefly, to buy Mr KK a couple of cans of etch primer for the engine parts he is cleaning atm.
- I am showered and fragrant as I have used neroli shower gel and body lotion - I’m going out tonight to a folk evening in the chapel tent, so hopefully the scent won’t be too strong for others.
The lid is now on the cat box. Chloe is still eating treats from it …. 🤞🤞🤞🤞

Just wanted to say I made the Parmesan, bean and lemon dish a couple of nights ago- it was delicious, even meat eating hubby liked it👍
I ended up making it with risotto rice, as when I got the orzo out of the cupboard it was over 2 years out of date🫢but it still worked very well.
Thank you for the recipe

Ooh, that shawl looks lovely!
My Sister made me a shawl a few years back - I loved it and it was very practical, but it vanished and I've never been able to find it! Clearly left it at someone's house or on the bus or something. Still vexes me.
I later made myself one out of alpaca wool which is very soft, but just not quite the right shape, and it never sits right so I just don't use it. Wonder if I can alter it in some way??
