well done you! Great work.
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!2 -

Definitely well done on the push-back, @KajiKita. You shouldn't have had to donate so much head-space to the situation, especially on the weekend, but bravo to you for setting out your case professionally. And - because it's a rarity in many organisations - at least a partial 'nod' of acknowledgement to the GM for listening to you and acting accordingly with grace and professionalism. If they don't realise they've got a pearl in you, then you need to be with another organisation that does recognise your dedication.

Thanks @Cheery_Daff, @Fortune_Smiles, @Greying_Pilgrim @beanielou and @Brewerspride 😊 I really appreciate your support.
On reflection I think there was a huge amount of miscommunication between us and a significant clash of styles here. But, I have drawn a line in the sand and he knows where I stand in relation to it - he looked quite taken aback when he saw how much prep I had done for this conversation and thanked me for speaking to him …He’s quite a bit younger than me and has a bit of a ‘jack the lad’ vibe. Not a style I have ever worked with before in such a senior position. It’s going to take some getting used to … for both of us I think! 😂😂

Not a fan of ‘Jack the lad’ types.

Well done on setting your case and well done to him for listening to it - hopefully he's taken note of how seriously you were thinking about it and will act more accordingly in future.
