That is a lovely earring, and, so nice a colleague realised it was yours and sought you out to return it. Touching.

Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

Great news about your earring being found. I hate losing an earring from a pair I love and keep the other just in case it reappears (it never does in my case).

I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping) -.literally have been run over by a bike, mobility scooter and a car - still here 💪

You said you didn't want sympathy so I wasn't giving you much 😁

@Sun_Addict if you have odd earrings see if any would work well as a pair, e.g. if there are similar styles of different lengths that can look purposeful

If you go to a jeweller you could get a small rubber backing for your earring - I use them for ones with fittings like yours as they tend to catch on my clothing and slip out. It's a sort of rubber ring that you sometimes find when earrings are being sold to keep them from slipping off the card they are displayed on.

I don't wear any jewellery anymore, with the exception of my wedding ring, but I did have my ears pierced, and had alot of those drop like earrings. They forever used to fall out of my ears tho. I lost so many that I gave up buying them ☹️ I haven't worn earrings in so long, I think the skin has fused over in the piercing.

    Thanks @Brie, @rtandon27 😊
I actually feel ‘naked’ without earrings now, @Greying_Pilgrim 🤷‍♀️

I didn’t post yesterday but not a lot happened. Work was worked (much contractor wrangling and liaising with head office, so I didn’t get much of MY work done … 🙄). Met a friend for lunch - it was her turn to pay 😊 It was the lady from the village who has been so horribly picked on by everyone. She’s doing really well - I feel like I am finally, actually ‘meeting’ her at last - we had a good laugh about a few things and are thinking of arranging a trip to the flicks to see a film with Olivia Coleman in a few weeks time 😊

Posted my dad’s birthday parcel in good time 😊👏 From cash pocket money, so no use of CC.

Realised I’d run out of veggie bolognese batch portions, so knocked one of those up when I got back. Had one for tea with a baked spud and boxed the rest up - 8 portions in all 😊

This morning, Mr KK and I ‘walked the job’ and, whilst I scrubbed down the old butlers sink and got it up for sale on FBMP, he installed bespoke shelves for me in my potting shed. There is one more to install, once he’s stopped using it in the garage for his Jeep restoration, but already, what a difference! 🤩 He also put up some hanging brackets I bought for rakes, so they are now safely off the floor as well. I did an hour or so of moving ‘stuff’ back into the potting shed this afternoon, but there is still more to do … 🙄 But at least the cellar is clear now.

I made this for lunch today:

    IMG_5348.jpeg IMG_5347.jpeg

It was LUSH! Really rich and flavourful. I even managed to eat porcini mushrooms which I normally find too bitter! 😊 It is the first time I have cooked from this book and it was a little optimistic about how long it would take 😂, so I will bear that in mind for any future makes from this book. Second (generous!) portion went in the freezer.
    Two new techniques:
    - Dry frying mushrooms - I had no idea that was even possible! 🤷‍♀️
    - Toasting the mixed seeds and then mixing with chopped parsley and salt as a garnish 😊

Washing done, airing off in conservatory.

Wandered around the garden taking pictures as there are still flowers everywhere (second wind after the rain finally came) and I want to remind myself of that in the depths of winter … 😊

Finished another novel. The last of the Shardlake series before the author died, sadly.

Ooh … just had a bite on the sink. Hopefully sold as of Monday evening 🤞

My feet have been hurting a lot today, especially my left heel. I have deployed a spiky massage ball, ankle rolls, some hip and lower back work …. I’m also feeling incredibly tired. Unsure whether to go to the gym tomorrow morning. It might be better to miss it, but I am away in the week at head office for training again, so that would mean I miss a whole week … 🤷‍♀️

Caught up with text correspondence I was behind with, with two friends.

HM pizza for tea with dough from the freezer 😊👏
