Thanks @Watty1, @beanielou, @Brewerspride, @Humboldt, @Fortune_Smiles 😊
I am hoping to find BEFORE pictures of the area between the mower shed and the house, as I suspect it really looks different now … If I manage it I will come back here and share 😊
I have reached the Week End! And what an epic week it’s been … phewph! All work related thankfully, nothing dramatic happening at home! 😉 I am getting pulled into yet more things I know absolutely nothing about! This time the power limit of the site, versus the power that we are consuming PLUS the super-deluxe-mega-whizzy machine that is due in November. It’s looking VERY likely that we won’t have enough power incoming to the site and will have to arrange for more. I’ve had a concern about this for some time (I was tipped off by the electrician I use for fixing stuff who we have asked to support the install) and because no one else seemed to be doing anything about it (project lead is almost at the point of hiding under his desk, rocking and sucking his thumb), I have. It’s not looking good. The topic has now gone up to head office for a sense check (I am relieved by this) and advice / go-ahead on what to do next ….
This ^^ was all on top of many customer issues, someone burning themselves really pretty badly with a fresh cup of coffee, and refusing to go home / get medical help until I checked on her … never good when a tough, ridiculously hard working, woman starts crying at the sight of you walking towards her. And so on and so forth …
Sadly we are heading into horribly hot weather again next week (32C peaks mid week) so my functionality will crash again. Just hoping to make the most of what energy I can muster this weekend whilst Mr KK is at a steam rally. I have not made a good start by crashing for two hours on the sofa this afternoon … 🤷♀️🙄 Hoping for gardening, training, cleaning, cooking and some decluttering as well as some reading and knitting 😊
Small OP today of £6.30 CB and a £1.73 TT 😊 First in ages of a little extra OP 😊

Your garden pots are beautiful. Work has sounded tough this week, hope you get some well deserved downtime this weekend.
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping) -.literally have been run over by a bike, mobility scooter and a car - still here 💪3 -
Crashing for a couple of hours sounds a very good start, you need to recharge from that working week before tackling the weekend!
Make sure to schedule in conscientious downtime enjoyment/rest hours for yourself or you'll get nowt done, and also it's your weekend and house to yourself time, so if the downtime lasts 48 hours then that is a blimmin good use of the weekend if that's what is needed

Thanks @Sun_Addict 😊
You’re probably right, @PennysIntoPounds. Though, I suspect as the temperatures increase through the day tomorrow and Sunday I will naturally retreat to the sofa and a book … 😉Done a bit of training - squats and core work.
Halloumi burgers, field mushrooms, tomatoes and homegrown baby puds with mint for dinner - Yumlicious!! 😋
Got outside for a wee while and filled a builders trug with gone over ‘stuff’, pulled a few weeds, tidied one edge. Beat back the wild strawberries that are aiming to overrun the world! 😉 Dead headed the pots on the patio, actually feel slightly ahead 😊
Time for a shower now 🚿

Slept pretty well in spite of the two hour crash yesterday. I feel a bit gloopy this morning so I suspect I am batting off Mr KK’s cold … 🙄😉
Skin is improved after two days of violaforce dosing. Duolingo Spanish done.Mr KK’s washing swooshed and on the line. That’s usually a Sunday job so I feel ahead again 😊
All internal bins emptied 💪👏
Everywhere watered including the deep pink chrysanthemum by the front gate which I adore! 😉 It has lots of buds coming 😊 My little hibiscus is just starting to flower 🤩❤️ There are some ripe tomatoes that need picking and I need to review the courgettes …
Rich blue flowered Salvia planted and area re mulched after being disturbed. It is quite shocking to me how little my watering is penetrating the ground! 😳
Just having a wee whiff and a drink of water, before heading out again to get the rest of the pretties in the ground by the mower shed (I have set myself a target of doing a ‘Before’ and ‘After’ this weekend, so the ‘After’ has to be good! 😉😂) before breakfast 😊

The rest of the pretties got planted but I ran out of time before the sun got high to finish the mulching. I will try and do it after dinner. I will also try and cut a clean edge in the ‘turf’ (both too weedy and too dead to really qualify as turf atm) for an ‘After’ photo. The weather is a sensible temperature so I have a baker in the air fryer and a portion of veggie bolognese defrosting in the microwave for dinner tonight 😊
Mr KK’s washing all dried, folded and back on his bed.
Toscos delivery wrangled and processed. New driver, seemed cheerful 😊
Bathroom and loo cleaned. I also decluttered and deep cleaned the section between the bathroom loo and the sink cupboard which was full of redundant hair washing / conditioning products and half used cleaners. Cleaners combined, hair products gone (there’s no food bank local to me). That has been a ‘mote in mine eye’ for some time now - looks soooo much better 😊 Let’s see if Mr KK notices tomorrow ….Washing up liquid bottle topped up from the big one, almost empty kitchen hand wash upturned over the latest one and emptied bottle put in recycling. Window shelf behind kitchen sink wiped down.
I did go out to the local plant centre to pick up some more compost but DID NOT BUY PLANTS!! 😳😂 (Yes I have checked my temperature 😉). I have done really well this year at not buying plants and just leaving them to die, and because I could not envisage where any of the lovely things, salvias particularly, could go, none came home with me … 🤷♀️😊Chloe fed twice!! After not eating all day until mid afternoon. She is now back out marauding …
Finished a novel. T’was rather bleak. All about a women who was 9 months pregnant who was in an 1kea in an American city, when a big earthquake struck and her efforts / ‘adventures’ in trying to get home … Not a fun read.

Miss Chloe is always the epitome of a dirty stop out.
The strength of will to step into a garden centre and not buy anything you didn't come for is incredible, well done on that.

And finally, here is the Before, During and After ….
Before (about this time last year):
Couldn’t easily walk through here, the box ball had completely outgrown its space and had also been decimated by caterpillar…During (late September last year):
Cleared the area, Mr KK laid the path, we threw some soil around a bit …
This morning:
The nicotiana is giving us nice scent in the evenings.
There is teeny, tiny scented jasmine tucked in under the wall, by the house, which will run along the handrail, once we finally install it … <ahem>
Next plan is to plant lots more spring bulbs at the back of the beds for next year 😊
Please excuse the view of the water butts and pots - that’s reality and I can’t be faffed with AI’ing it … 😉🤷♀️Its been a lot of work over a number of months, but i am really rather pleased with this 😊 Thank you garden ❤️
