Love the garden pics. What a great transformation
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!1 -
Thanks @beanielou 😊 and @Watty1 😊
@redofromstart I have committed to my quality engineer this afternoon that I will water both front of house roses and the fuchsia that got relocated to the bottom of the garden. Maybe we should pledge commitment to task to each other? 😉
@@ auto renewal at £344.61 😳 cancelled after setting up the same cover with R@C at £149.24. Usual nonsense when ringing the @@ of; why are you cancelling, can we requote etc etc. 🙄🤷♀️ I have repaid Mr KK £75.
I have a pot saved for this in my YNAB sheet which won’t be £344 but will be more than £149 - any excess I will shuffle off to top up my EF to the base level I like to have, after which I can OP / pension contribute more.
£110 left my bank to be the monthly mortgage OP. 😊 It will take a couple of days to land in the mortgage account.
Monthly £50 payment now added to my EFT (£250 contributions to date). Balance is £257 😊 Quietly ticking up.KK

That's a flipping outrageous quote from the breakdown people! Cheeky monkeys!

It was dire wasn’t it! And we haven’t had cause to use them in the last year either …! 🙄😳
Anyway, it’s done, and I now have the satisfaction of counting my gold coins … sorry, sorry … reallocating my YNAB breakdown cover pot left overs to something else 😊

I ignored the AA renewal and then bought cover via a cashback site from them for a much lower price. It worked :) Otherwise I alternate providers as the renewal increases are ridiculous.

I did that last year 😊 But the R@C deal this year was really good 😊
Roses in front garden have had two watering cans each and so has the fuchsia 😊

Went out to a talk on Biodynamic Gardening last night, hosted by the Garden Society I joined. It was useful as a recce session - knowing timings for getting out of the door to the venue, parking (very limited!), what the seating was like etc etc. The talk itself was DREADFUL. It was so bad it was actually funny!! 🤣 I, with my limited awareness / knowledge, know more about biodynamic gardening than we actually heard about it last night. Real ego trip for the speaker, just awful … I wasn't the only one that thought it either. Such a shame as they had a really good turn out for it. I might suggest they try and get Derry Watkins as a speaker, as she is localish and always brings a good mix of seeds to buy too.
It was a lovely drive across the Forest there and back though 😊
Mr KK watered for me last night ❤️ but forgot the pots in the courtyard, so I will check those tonight.
Madame Chloe didn't come home at all last night, so I drove off to work this morning, looking all over the road for a pathetic little bundle and getting upset remembering finding George on the side of the road after his death … A little while after getting into work Mr KK sent me a text to say that she had come home for breakfast and seemed to be in fine fettle! Little beast!! 🙄🤣🤣

I only heard of Derry Watkins yesterday, only about an hour from me and I have an empty front garden……

Very glad to hear Chloe turned up for breakfast. Sorry about the rotten talk though, what a shame!

Ooooh …. utter jealousy! 😉😊
Ah well, I 'achieved' getting out on a work evening, which I was begining to think was beyond me these days 😊
