  • Oh I'm so sorry to read that. Life is so precious. Thanks for reminding us that we have to enjoy the time we have, Thriftymissus.

That really spurs me on more to get my money sorted out so I can enjoy time with the people I love. xx

I read that wrong! I thought you were selling from your treadmill. I was going to say, 'You go, girl!' But actually, you've made £210, so yeah!!

Huge daily average, well done! Great effort. I still haven't been on vinted! And I am soooo poor this month, again!! I thought January would be hard, but February.. 😓

  • I know what you mean! Good to hear from you @Hollie_Hobbie! I'm spinning so many plates at work this week and doing a Masters as well on the side.

It's great to see how you can gather lots of things together to make £10 a day! Some months, there might be a big bonus, and other months, it'll be a little from Prolific, a little from TopCashback etc…

And, again, like you - I'd love to know where it's all going! I have started to get small bits like Prolific and TopCashback cashed out into Paypal and then keep it there until I've got a bit of a wedge to pay off something otherwise it just goes into my current account which is overdrawn and I don't appreciate the value of extra if that makes sense. It's very disheartening.

I was hoping to do a bank switch this evening to the Nationwide from a "burner current account" from a few years ago, but of course I can't find the paperwork for the "burner current account" … oops!

I will have to go into our "room of doom" to find the paperwork. Perhaps I should have also signed up to one of the decluttering challenges :)

thanks @MissMoneyMishap @Hollie_Hobbie for your kind words and encouragement ❤️💐

can you imagine keeping going at that rate, I could definitely get new teeth… maybe gold ones from a reputable dentist in Barbados 🤣🤣🤣

Later on today, I’ve had a meal bought for me, ( a Burns’ Supper on a visit to family in a retirement complex, living the dream…) that was £10.25. And an eBay sale for £5.

I know it’s off topic but would love to hear more about your Masters @MissMoneyMishap 🤩

how is everyone doing at the end of the month?

I’ve added £1.27 Curious Cat (what a slog this can be!)

    £6 eBay

I’ve also added £35 as I was going to buy some printer supplies but then my partner said he’d pay. I use the printer the most by far so chuffed and grateful for this.

this means my total for January is £3051.56

I’m going out tonight for work and hoping for free drinks 🤣 so if this happens, I’ll be adding the cost of them. 😬

looking forward to February, I’m due:

    £44 hotels.com reward from a members’ scheme

£20 for books split between World of Books and We Buy Books — scanned all books in both apps to get the best return 🤗

some monthly bank interest on ISA, £100-ish interest on First Direct saver which is ending. (7% on £300 a month) I think there’s a switch bonus at the moment?? To the current account it’s linked to.

Aiming for £200 profit in online sales, mostly by decluttering and stuff people have given me.

Would love to get to £30+ from Prolific and Curious Cat, but I’m less successful these days, partly because I’m not in a particularly attractive age group for researchers and partly because I’m opting out of loads of surveys involving loads of technical stuff, or getting to saturation point with CC.

    good luck all.

Had a £10 sale on FB marketplace last night so January total is £398.00. I'm very happy with that!
