I thought the same thing! You've had a great couple of weeks then - congratulations on the win!

I've not had Kendal Mint cake for yeeeears! It reminds me of our holidays with our grandparents as children. I was just saying yesterday about trying to book a holiday in the Lakes - maybe this is a sign that I should.

Your thoughts on Prolific are so relatable!! I've been sat staring at big surveys on Prolific for the last 48 hours! One is worth £7 and others $8 each… I just can't make myself start them because I can't be bothered, but each time I check back, they are still there winking at me! Doing my head in. I'll start one after I've finished checking in here. I have to remind myself how much I need to pay my debt off. 😢

Love getting a surprise on TCB! I had a random £163 appear yesterday that hadn't logged at all from July, and just appeared in Payable yesterday! Like you, I'm not arguing with it…but I wasn't expecting it!

I'm ready to do Chase yet, as I'm trying to stagger them, but I'll use your link when I do it :)

I'm always in it. It's just the depth that varies.

    Immediate Problem: Overdraft: £752.59 * Paypal £671.07 * Creation £592.74 = £2,016.04
    Phase 1: Vanquis CC £4100.11 * Tesco CC £3996.60 * Capital One CC £3800 = £11,896.71
    Phase 2: Zopa Loan: £12,755

I eat far too much sweet stuff @Hollie_Hobbie

Is now a good time to mention I have Type 2 diabetes 😃😳

    how is everyone getting on?

I’ve been distracted by work but have about £5 in eBay sales. Nearly got to cashout on Prolific. Got £2 tcb bonus, can’t face Curious Cat.

Went to 2 work events that resulted in a good amount of freebies. (Stationery, snacks)

I have had a pension I’ve paid into for a lot of years and I’ve got addicted to checking. It has risen a lot this year. Not related to this challenge and could go down at anytime.

I’m less than a decade away from retirement so am watching it too closely.,

Hi everyone, just a quick check in from me.

February is going well so far, mostly due to a number of sales on FB Marketplace. Sales on Vinted are a little slow but I keep uploading things regularly.

So far I'm at £541.71 for Feb so I'm very happy

  • Thanks @MissMoneyMishap - get that holiday booked :)

I wonder with Prolific for me if it's that my job is desk bound and therefore it's more sitting around. Though saying that I'll happily sit around watching tv :)

Apologies it's not a link as such - just some info on the Chase offer - you need to know someone who has the account and offer.

  • Sorry to hear that @Thriftymissus - hope you are able to manage it okay.

It is something I always worry about - 1.5 stone overweight, desk top, no energy :(

Great idea to think about your pension well in advance :)

  • My figures for this month are £143 for OH OT and £5 Morrisons More card.

I have to accept that when OH doing OT I won't have as much time to earn much extra as I'll be doing extra in the house etc.

    Hello Hello!

Another super late check in for me – I don't think I've posted since February began! I've been slacking on Prolific as it's been hard to find ones I want to do and/or ones that I have time to do. OTOH, I have been grinding some games for Swagbucks. I'm quite far from a payout, but it passes the time and I've got to the stage in one game where I set it and forget it during the day or overnight and still make progress.

    Progress for 1-21 Feb:

    Prolific: £ 12.04

    Chase cash back: £6.07

Nectar price savings: £42.53 (😮 – did a big shop and apparently saved a lot with Nectar prices/deals!)

    February Total: £60.64/£280

    2026 Total: £409.87/£3,650

Some tips/wins from the past couple of weeks that I wanted to share but I'm not counting towards the running total:

    1. I got a friends and family railcard that saved me money instantly on a train journey – if I'd gone for the one year card the saving would have been more than the cost of the card 😱 I went for the 3-year one so as not to get done over by price rises when my youngest turns 5!
    2. If you're a YouGov member and didn't already know, you can link your bank accounts (maximum of 3) and earn 5 points a day per account just for sharing open banking data. They don't need to be active either – one of mine is a cc I'm paying off, the other is an account I opened for cash back reasons and don't currently use. Given you need 5k points to cash out on YouGov, earning 105 points a day helps nudge it along between polls.

    hello all.

Thank you @Hollie_Hobbie for your kind wishes.

In February, I’m chipping away with eBay. I need to give it a big push. Prolific not doing great, have just cashed out £6, slow and steady with Curious Cat, when I can face it.

my total this month is being boosted by refunds.

Got the whole cost of a meal out taken off because garlic bread was rock hard.

Got theatre tickets refunded as I can’t go. I feel I can count this as was fully intending to go.

I was also randomly given a £13.50 Sainsburys voucher, so long as I spent £90. I stocked up on various tinned soups, other canned things, plus drinks, some meat and snacks. Got nectar savings worth £26, and paid by giftcard through JamDoughnut which I think was at 3.5% Cashback. I added it altogether and I got £90 of shopping for £46. ❤️

  • Hi everyone, I hope you've had a great week? Not the most productive one for me if I'm honest, but here are my totals anyway:

    Progress for 22-27 Feb:

Zopa cash back on bills: £4.16

Zopa current account interest : £0.10

    Chase cash back: £0.14

    Nectar price savings: £5.30

    Airtime rewards: £5.00

    Free coffee x2: £8.35

    This week's total £23.05

    February Total: £83.69/£280

    2026 Total: £434.92/£3,650
