  • Sorry for dipping out for the week. I have been so busy and last week, just… zonked! I was in bed before 8 every night last week, and all weekend have been trying to work through my reading list as I feel really behind. But, you probably gathered, I'm made very little extra money; I've just not been able to fit anything else in.

My final week of January, I actually realised, I didn't update my own totals!! So adding it in just to let you all know!!!

    Here's my Week 4 totals:

    Topcashback

    £6.09

    Prolific

    £6.25

    Morrisons

    £15.00

    Nectar

    £2.50

    Week 4 Total: £29.84 / £70.00

    January Total: £580.15 / £310.00

    2026 Total: 580.15 / £310.00

I'm pretty pleased, despite the slow down at the end! It's £18.71 a-day on average for January. 🤑

  • yes we would!

I had a lovely night even though it was work, it was a charity event, I enjoyed at least 2 free drinks and a bag groaning with Nutella samples, individual Weetabix and erm, butter from breakfast 🤣

today I had a free Greggs hot chocolate for signing up to their app. And a free Belgian bun from it being my birthday last week. Might not have any teeth left soon 👀

got good quantities of tea and coffee from hotel room where charity do was and will share on Olio 🥰

  • A free cake at Costa usually £3.90 which is daylight robbery. I’m not dwelling on the fact i inevitably bought a drink at the same time 🤗

  • @Thriftymissus - I think you actually eat more sweet things than me which takes some doing :) just sat here chomping some kendal mint cake :)

Over the last couple of weeks -

    £100 premium bond win

£45 topcashback for uswitch - was a surprise because I don't think I completed the switch with them, but I won't argue :)

£15 on the boosters for Morrisons more card and a £5 discount code from them for valentines

£6.26 prolific (must try harder on this - I keep starting it but then think I really don't want to :))

£50 overtime for OH and £2.17 bank interest

  • Hope you managed to find someone who has a Chase account.

Forgot to mention I started the Nationwide joint account couple of weeks ago so hopefully I'll receive the £175 for that in the next week or two.

  • Ha! My kinda woman!! Sounds like a lovely evening.

I've got a cupboard full of coffee sachets that none of us will ever drink! We did get through the stash of Nutella - they're a great snack if you dip breadsticks in! And used the mini peanut butters for cooking.

I love going on half board holidays, because half the fund comes from trying to get enough from breakfast into your bag or up your dress for lunch every day. My husband… does not enjoy this so much! 😅
