How lovely it all looks @GrannyKate
Tip run booked for Friday, fingers crossed this one happens.
The camping things have been collected by one of the DC's, would have gone with them but new windows being fitted whilst they're away.
Did some Christmas present shopping last night, the bank account has taken a battering this month but I got everything that I wanted at this moment in time.
It's so hot again today, I'm not a fan.

Hear hear to the comments about this being such a welcoming place to land, and massive high fives to Mrs SD for your cheerleading for everyone. I am in awe!
Lovely garden @GrannyKate I particularly like the lady on the tree stump

GrannyKate - lovely photos.
I got all 7 jobs on my list done.
One of my jobs was to remove bird pooh from my front wall. I was out there with a bowl of warm water, a drop of washing up liquid and a toothbrush. I will need to revisit some of the marks. A friend was going by while I was out there - she came in for a chat. She is someone who can outstay her welcome but I managed to get her to leave okay. I wanted to phone the HMRC - remember I said the bereavement line was useless.
I phoned the agents line as instructed and waited and waited. When I did get a human being - he was worse than useless. I did give him background info about Mr F but he asked for the person P who was due a refund - national insurance number. On the letter - you only get part of the number then he asked me for P's date of birth - Mr F never disclosed client info with me. I told the chap - I don't know his date of birth or the date he died - good luck giving his refund to him in Heaven. P was a Christian man who never married and had properties that he rented out for tiny amounts of rent.
My daughter had arrived while I was waiting on the phone and couldn't believe how unhelpful HMRC are.
Now I have been told to send a letter - how that will help - I still won't have P's nis number or date of birth. I had another letter about AB - no idea where she lives now. I will just write unknown at this address if any more mail arrives. It is distressing to receive post for Mr F.
So I had another day at home but visitors today.

Another one here who thinks this is a particularly lovely place - if only everywhere online was like this! Three cheers for Mrs SD leading from the front with her tireless cheer-leading. 💐
Today I have bitten the bullet and ordered a “new” kitchen . “New” because they keep the cabinets there and replace doors worktops & in my case appliances, sink and taps . I have literally been thinking about doing this for years so it’s a ancient mega-frog. It’ll take about 9 weeks to be ready. This afternoon I have been chopping the shed debris and tidying it up until I can get rid of it . The back of the shed came off in one piece so I have that at the back of the garden acting as a screen ! It all looks reasonably tidy considering .

Nice photos Granny Kate, I do like your harlequin pattern flags. I may borrow that idea when the time comes.
Florenceem Mr V is from West Bridgford, small world.
My newish friend came to visit, she is an ex nurse too, like bit by bit. Birds of a feather eh. Friends pony has a carcinoma on her mouth. A very difficult decision to be made as to when, not if. She has had her 34 years. She just lost her other little pony earlier this year, he was 28. Pets really are family members.
Mr V is still poorly. Another day in bed tomorrow. I am going to the supermarket with my friend. Good times.

Wednesday is another hot sunny day with the temperature climbing to 33°C with a SSW wind & a low of 18°C. DH has headed off to the Tip - we added a wooden bird nesting box & a wooden bird feeding house both rotting (1269 - 1270) & he will then pop into AS*A for bbq bits & a bit of salad………. DH was gone quite a long time as the Blue bridge to get off the IoD was up to let 2 warships into the Docks - good job we have air conditioning in the car 😉 Shopping put away & DH has found an old garden umbrella (on its last legs) & is try to put it together 🤞 Success 🥳
1271 - 1275 Magazine, office recycling, cardboard packaging, plastic bottle, drinks cans - recycled
Now for some cheerleading 😉
Liverpool_Anne, the wedding sounds absolutely wonderful ☺️ Although I’m not sure I would have coped at all with a windowless hotel room 😰 no wonder you couldn’t sleep 😞 A belated happy birthday to your OH 🥳 🎂 & what a result with the voucher ☺️ Excellent decluttering 👏 worthy of a medal 🏅 which is on its way. Fingers crossed that the builder can sort something out re the damp 🤞 How annoying that you had so much trouble with the NHS App 😖 I was so appalled by what I read that I decided to check mine 😉 Good job I did as I had to change my password 😞 but it gave me a chance to reiterate NO Cookies & I wasn’t asked for anything else 😮💨 Hopefully the next time you log in you will not be harassed 🤞
dND, sorry to hear about the pulled muscle in your neck 😣 My DSis had something similar & no idea what she had done either 😞 Sending lots of healing vibes & hopefully the pain killers & some gentle movement will help 🙏 When I started reading This “DS1 thankfully had a day off today so he was able to come over and take me to the vets……….” a thought crossed my mind before I continued reading 😮💨 sorry I do have a weird mind sometimes 😉
Excellent work oceanspirit 👏 the Big Tidy Up is going well ☺️
Excellent decluttering greent 👏 Hope you have a great time ☺️
Excellent work EnergyShifter 👏 & it sounds like you had fun 😉 Please have a medal 🏅to celebrate taking down the playhouse/shed. The patio will look even more wonderful once the slabs have been cleaned & the grass tidied up ☺️
Excellent decluttering Florenceem 👏 It sounds like you enjoyed your day at home ☺️ Hopefully your neighbour won’t lock herself out whilst she still has both keys 🤞
Great decluttering TC77 👏 Keeping everything crossed that nothing comes to pass after the attempt at scamming you 🤞🙏
Excellent general decluttering & neutral decluttering Happy_Kitties 👏 I am awarding you a Gold Star ⭐️ for the 242 neutral items out.
Excellent decluttering of books Brambling 👏 I like the forward planning for more books to be donated ☺️ A pity about the boiler but 21 years is sterling service 🤩 just goes to show that having it serviced annually is a good investment 👏 Hope you have a lovely holiday ☺️
Broke off here to have dinner - bbq with a bit of salad. DSis had a hot dog - she is suffering with the heat so not that hungry, DH had a couple of lamb skewers - put the meat in a hot dog roll & is now having a cheese burger with cooked onions & I had some tomato salad, lettuce & a couple of lamb skewers 😋
vulpix, pleased to hear that MrV is slowly getting better ❤️🩹you are definitely being an excellent nurse making him stay in bed 👏 You are definitely a great team 🥹 Hopefully once the appointments come through for your knee/s & treatment starts your walking will improve & there will be no stopping you 🥹surprisinglynice, camping was something I enjoyed as a child but never really took to as an adult 😉 probably something to do with having to do all the organising etc 😂
It sounds like you have passed your love of camping down to your DCs & DGCs ❤️ What a beautiful compliment for all our Declutterati family 🥹
GrannyKate, sounds like you enjoyed the garden visit yesterday ☺️ Excellent decluttering 👏 Hopefully the DGCs finally got up 😉

Fab thread that helps keep some sanity in the world and so much appreciation for Mrs SD in particular for being so supportive and highlighting from others' post that I sometimes miss.
@Vulpix, sorry to hear Mr V is still unwell and wishing him a speedy recovery although know it can be slow.
Went through my dad's dvds and found over 100 to get rid of by asking Google review scores and thinking life is too short for many.
Unfortunately I looked up what to do with the old ones as home recorded films and documentaries and found this.....
I also looked a large vase type thing from dd1's and 9 big books i had the pictures of to try and sell and then thought the hassle of posting and should go quickly in the cs . 2 where heavy current text books. Also digital declutter but alot comes in to so unsure how much i'm winning that one.
Also somw damaged cd cases out so counting as 20 as debating the dv craft idea :)

Agree with all that this forum is a REAL community and a million thanks to Mrs SD who deserves a platinum medal xx
I have been mega busy since last posting. I am absolutely loving HSL and bathroom. I’ve Decluttered and sorted the airing cupboard again, it’s better and I found I have a fetish for pillow cases - either that or they are breeding in there. Sorted and a good few in CS bag.
Practically everything in the house has been washed, dried, ironed and put away - way to go me! I did make myself feel quite unwell doing the ironing in this heat, horrid as it sounds I was literally dripping. I am fortunate that my double coverless duvet fits in the washing machine. I am not so fortunate to find, whilst hanging it on the line, that on its journey down the stairs, it had collected quite a lot of black grease from the stair lift track. I have an appointment with Dr Beckmann and Mr Vanish tomorrow to see if I can get the grease out. I’m proper miffed.Decluttered under the kitchen sink and installed new storage solution which is awesome. Best of all, it works. I can now easily see what I have by just opening the cupboard door. There were quite a few microfibre cloths, which I really dislike, into the CS bag and some packaging went in recycling. Also Decluttered the counter and installed same storage but with only one drawer. All Frankie’s opened food boxes, treats and packets fit nicely and the fruit sits on the wooden top, now have a lovely big clear space on the counter.
and yes, I don’t think any of us do really see what our spouses do, I know I don’t. Bless him, DH has again been unwell, was feeling better today so he put the new smaller yard storage box together for me as my hands won’t manage the corner clips. And DH even took the cardboard out to the recycling, good man.
I scanned all docs today, was a bit sad as there was some things which were mums. Anyway, all scanned and in a folder on the laptop ready for filing tomorrow. Then I have a mammoth task of shredding it all.
Sending hugs to all who would like one, and very best wishes for a speedy recovery to MrV. @GrannyKate love your pics and the little person in the hat is wonderful, I love it. Have a good night all, sleep well, sweet dreams xxSaving 1 animal wont change the world - but it will change the world for that 1 animal
