Monday dinner was toast or sandwiches. Wudupa.
Tuesday is another hot sunny day & temperatures are creeping up with a forecast high of 29°C, low of 18°C & a WNW wind making it feel 1° warmer. Window cleaners turned up today - 3 weeks ago S accidentally dropped the third section of his ladder on his head - blood everywhere & his wife had to take him to A&E. He ended up having his head stapled but no concussion or other ill effects. To the surprise of the medics the wound healed very quickly (they put it down to a very healthy diet) & now there is barely a scar. S has now reinforced his cap & only uses his 2 section ladder unless he has been booked to clean the gutters. He was very lucky 🍀 😮💨 Forgot to mention that the garden waste was finally collected on Saturday 😊 & also forgot to mention that DSis gave me a soft wool pashmina to pass on to DH’s niece S ☺️
1247 - 1248 Kitchen recycling, magazine - recycled
I have fallen behind with the cheerleading…………………..again
florianatwobob, well done defrosting the freezer & what a great use for the ice 👏 I love the word “potment”
surprisinglynice, yippee to having rain 🥳 I doubt your garden minded it being cold 😉 Excellent work finding more items for the Tip 👏 & hopefully your neighbours let you use their recycling bins 🤞 I am putting in an early request for photos once the various sands have been decanted 🙏
BlueJ94, fingers crossed that the factory reset worked 🤞 An excellent deal for the swimming - 7 sessions in a month & anything after is free 🤩
Blue_Doggy, no wonder you put “helping” in italics 😞 My brother sounds a bit like your sister - both non-understanding & also not sentimental at all like me & our sister 😢 Very well done on working your way through your DMum’s things 🥹💐👏 I love that you ”auditioned” your old sandals ☺️ Sorry to hear about Puppy-Wuppy’s decluttered teeth 😢
Wow GrannyKate 🤩 Very impressed at how quickly you have sorted everything out since you got back from your holiday 👏 It sounds like you had an absolutely wonderful time ☺️ Pleased to hear that Sox was so happy to see you & didn’t sulk 😉 This “I sent DGS4 outside to harvest the first few tomatoes - he came in with the stalks in his hand and said the tomatoes were very nice!” had me in stitches 🤣
Excellent work getting rid of cards etc oceanspirit 👏 & well done on starting a rag bag for the CS rather than keeping more for Justin 👏
Excellent decluttering TC77 👏 I think you have fallen behind in your counting as your previous post dated 25/7/26 10:55pm stated 1188 & you have decluttered more than 1 item in this post 26/7/26 10:48pm & only went to 1189 🤔
Excellent work vulpix & great decluttering 👏 Oops to the spilt paint 😬 but well done on dealing with it so quickly ☺️
I keep getting distracted so will post this & try again later. I hope that everyone is having as good a day as possible 😊 See you later 👋

Finished going through all the cards and letters - only kept a few from a huge pile. Started on the next pile of papers which seem to be mostly things to read and recycle. Found JL vouchers so have used them for a WR food delivery - some ready meals which can go in the freezer and some cooked meat to have over the next few days as I want to use my energy keep going with the Big Tidy Up having started. Will get back to home cooked in a couple of weeks.
Friend took the books away and brought me 2 more - not helpful but I could have said no to them.

I have spent almost all day taking the playhouse / temp shed down. DS helped me with the roof and I managed the rest with an axe, crowbar and brute force !! I’m making the former foundations into a patio & even though it needs a good scrub and there is loads of debris to clear - I set it up to see what it’ll look like . I’m really pleased. I can barely move now though - I can’t remember the last time I worked so hard 🙃

@dND - hope the pain eases soon.
I had a day at home today. I didn't see anyone. I called at my neighbours as she hasn't given me her door key back yet. She is bound to lock herself out if she doesn't. As usual my neighbour was not at home.
I sewed buttons on my youngest son's shorts - two pairs - one had a hole where the button was so I had to darn the area.
My son and dil went to the funeral directors - they have a provisional date next month.
I did ironing this morning and put yesterday's ironing away. I have started a new bag of donations for the charity shop.
I did a bit of knitting - first for a week.
Decluttered - bra, hankie, cord, packaging, jumper, pair of pyjamas, doily, 2 pillowslips, fleece blanket, starch aerosol, colour catcher, cardboard box, pictures, black net petticoat and cardboard.

@Florenceem I'm so very sorry to hear about your grandson. My thoughts are with you and your family.
@Vulpix thinking of Mr V, cellulitis is nasty. I had it recently with a cocktail of other things when I was in hospital. It is not pleasant at allAfter weeks of slowly sorting and having a big pile in the living room, 122 neutral items left the house today including 6 completed shoeboxes.

I dropped off a dozen of my books at the bookshop on Saturday as well as a dozen from my sister. Today I looked through my pile of crafting books and picked out five to take in next time I go which wouldn't be until the 22nd August as I'm away from the 1st for a couple of weeks, it will give me time to sort more out.
I tidied my airing cupboard which also contains kitchen gadgets (it's in the kitchen) some old tea towels were binned and a duplicate food flask put in the charity bag with a couple of cake tins.
My 21 year old boiler has stopped working, I'm waiting for my boiler guy to look at it but I'm not expecting miracles I think it will need to be declutterred 😐 I've had my money worth from it as it hasn't cost me more than a service each year It's will be an expensive quarter with new windows this month and the plasterer and decorator in September. The same guy fitted it when I moved here in 2005, it's now him and his son but they are always busy, no web site, checkatrade etc just word of mouth but they are always busy, he'll try to get around this week to look otherwise it will be after my hols
