2. Sort out sleep patterns - initial targets: bed by 03:00, up by 10:30
3. Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc.
4. Commence ‘Operation Financial Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
5. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
6. Plan & Execute ONE Major Project - 2026 New Bathroom
7. Target 2026 items out

Freezer defrosted this morning, the poor thing has been working overtime in the heat waves. We’re now on a hose pipe ban so the decluttered ice was spread among the veggie pots in the ‘potment’ (pot allotment) to help with the watering.

Ironing pile decluttered too!!

We've had rain! It was so cold. Why I thought it would be warm I don't know 🤣

I'm finding more things for the tip run. I need to speak to my neighbours to see if I can fill their recycling bins before they're collected tomorrow, so many boxes that have been flattened but no room at the bin!

I have a sand collection, small amounts that have come home from all over the world. I have bought some mini test tubes to decant the sand into so I will have more tubs to recycle after.

My phones battery is shot, im going to factory reset my phone to see if that helps. Also have left over beef so going to make pie for dinner. Not much else happening really, going to start swimming tomorrow. Its £4.35 per session but £24.15 per month.

Thank you @Mrs_Salad_Dodger . Clutter landed in 2004 when my sister insisted on “helping” by clearing my late DMum’s flat into my house after DM died. Stuff has gone over the years, via charity shops and eBay, but the clearing into mine was the limit of my sister’s help. She would just have taken everything to the tip, and was rather - non-understanding - of my wish to be more thoughtful about things. It doesn’t help that I am a bit sentimental and it took me a long time to get to a place of being able to deal with things.

New sandals (2 pairs) arrived, so old ones were auditioned and a pair with disintegrating soles thrown out. Out went a shabby hall runner which had served its turn (30 years) protecting the floor from muddy paws. But in came a new door mat and two matching runners (a second old-but-still-good runner and door mat are on holiday in a bin bag in the cloakroom waiting till I buy a carpet washer). An old soft-hair broom decluttered as moths had got into the hair and although the moths have been eradicated I still doubted the state of the broom.

Puppy-Wuppy decluttered several teeth at the vet’s, and I decluttered several £00 to said vet. I’m a bit cross because when the same vet looked at the gnashers last year, he said they were ok.

Just another quick post - @Florenceem so very sorry to hear about your Grandson , thoughts and prayers to you and your family.

@vulpix - I laughed at the post about nor being able to refold pushchair - I have been there as well and fortunately I was driving an estate so managed to get the pushchair in the boot 'whole'. That was with DGS1 who had his graduation and his 21st birthday this week.

I got back from holiday about midnight last night after a long drive from Stansted with a stopoff for food. The holiday was lovely and we used taxis rather than a hire car. No Ubers so it worked out more expensive than Portugal. We had a day at the main town with a boat trip, three seaside trips, visited several villages etc. The villa had a lovely swimming pool so children were in there constantly. There was also air conditioning in bedrooms which was a relief. Local village with a few shops and tavernas was only 10 minutes walk but it was so hot to walk. DGS4 had a little bit too much sun on day 2 and was poorly. We kept him under very strict hat, shirt and suncream regime all week and he was fine. Chania airport is evidently not doing the new passport system and there were no queues anywhere - we had allowed extra time so spent quite a bit of time hanging around. Food was amazing and we all ate too much.

Sox was very pleased to see me and rushed in from his outside run when he heard my voice. He has happily eplored his estate and had some tuna and treats. I went shopping with the children which was an expensive experience. Large bag of primary school uniform ready to take in September for them to sell. I also have bag for charity shop which I may drop off tomorrow. I sent DGS4 outside to harvest the first few tomatoes - he came in with the stalks in his hand and said the tomatoes were very nice!

Right I need to get the last lot of washing sorted and then I have Sox's blankets to wash.

Started going through the huge pile of birthday and Christmas cards with notes in that have been kept over the years. Lots into recycling, a few things shredded and a big space has appeared in the living room. Hope to finish the task tomorrow.

Noticed that the t-shirt I am wearing has a couple of holes and I know there are other items of clothing that will only be fit for ragging at the end of the summer season so will start up a rag bag for the CS (I have plenty to use for cleaning already).

Emails are holding steady at around 190.

Dd1 brought box of things, some taken straight to cs adding a large soft toy which has lived here for years, a few things for dd2 and for me a throw ( nicer than the 6 or 7 I've passed on) some coasters and some of my books back. Luckily I don't count in. Dd2 took my big le creuset casserole and lid and another large casserole, champagne glasses, laptop case, 2 books, and possibly more , 9 and 2 to cs .

I came back from Nottingham last night with my youngest son.

Been to Church with my bestie today. My new Church family are very caring.

On looking in the cupboard for paint I did a bit of de cluttering. About 2 ft of curtain track in the bin. Why, just what did I think I was saving it for. 6 coat hooks bagged up and in the charity shop bag, using up a"useful" plastic bag. Other entries in the bag, a plastic wallet with Pg tips cards in. ( was it PG tips that had cards?) a small blind from the bricked up bathroom window, an animal water bottle. We haven't had a guinea pig for at least 10 years when DD2 had Piggy Smalls. Loads of other stuff that I can't recall.

I swapped some door knobs off the kitchen cupboards for some odd ones I save for furniture renno. The kitchen knobs are quite pretty and I will use them on some drawers for the little bedroom. Yes i know, I just sold the drawers out of there but the bunk beds are wider than the trundle bed and the new drawers are a tall boy. I still need to donate the telephone table in there used as a bedside table. Some one has asked for the trundle bed and is trying to organise transport.

I managed to almost finish undercoating the 4 head/ foot boards of the bunkbeds before i knocked a tin of paint over on the carpet.🤦‍♀️ Cleaned it up with a spoon and put a box over it whilst it dries! Luckily it is the office carpet from the bedroom and tbh it isn't that noticable! Much more painting in my future. Still got all the length boards to undercoat and then one or 2 top coats.

Mr V still in great pain. still went to work. I am beginning to wonder if he has a broken leg.
