So DD2 has been able to have a quick sort out tonight after being overwhelmed by life.
Given me 6 cables and an old ipad (the latter to be picked up with other IT by a charity on Monday so will count then). Gaming headphones for youth charity, sleeping bag and vase in CS bag, and a gym mat, 5 CDs/DVS or cases in the bin, large posted sized photo, another few cables which I will need to go through, some paper and digital decluttering by me. Broken a pair of prescription sunglasses but can't see if anywhere to recycle these?

Evening all. I now have real empathy with a roast chicken as I feel like I have been on gas mark 6 all afternoon - thankfully minus the Paxo!
We are, officially, one of the drought areas.
Decluttered 7 brand new still in packaging scarves to CS. Decluttered 15 Christmas gift bags that I had in my stash for mums helpers and neighbours, gave to my friend as she uses them. Has anyone else had a problem with bath sponges going mouldy? DH. Has a bath every evening and his sponge has, again moulded. The window has been open since we moved in, we don’t have any mould anywhere else…curious.
Filed all paperwork but didn’t get to shredding today. Have got everything out ready to do it tomorrow though. I find that if I leave something out ready to work on the next day it actually motivates me to get the job done.
Yes, the coverless duvet in once again, grease free. Put warm water, white vinegar and some Vanish (had some left from ages ago) in a spray bottle and sprayed on the splodges then went at them with a scrubbing brush; resprayed really well and let it sit for half an hour for the magic to happen. Another light scrub and into washing machine. Now on the line overnight.Glad to hear Mr V managed a bathroom trip minus language - that’s how I measure DH too 😁
Planning a much quieter day tomorrow. After the shredding, I get to do one of my favourite jobs: getting all the little stuck bits of paper out of the rollers and blades with tweezers, I find it calming and therapeutic.Have a good night all, sweet dreams xx

Thursday is another warm day but will be cooler as the forecast is for a high of 27°C low of 19°C with a W wind & a fair amount of cloud - although at the moment the sun is shining brightly 😉 DH had an early morning bath & DSis is up & dressed. DH is accompanying her to the dentist as she has a one hour appointment with the hygienist. Recycling wheelie bin emptied on the correct day 👏 DH phoned - dropped DSis off on time & he is now sat outside the local pub with a beer & reading a kindle book on his phone.
vulpix, sorry to hear about your friend’s pony 😔 Hopefully another day of confining MrV to his bed will see him feeling a lot better 🙏

I went to Farm Foo.. and Lid. today - saw a friend at the shopping centre.
I took with me letters that keep coming with Mil's and Mr F's name on them. Mil had a injury settlement when a supermarket door closed on her and broke her arm,. The money was put in a trust. Well Mil died in 2012, I had asked Mr F to stop the letters but he said he couldn't. Now he is not here I don't want this post with his name on it. I tried to sort it on the phone first. Praise for HSBC - asked twice if I would like a tea or coffee. Saw someone in the business dept - all sorted - the trust was also handled by a solicitor so he receives the monthly letters as well. Now he will recive two lots as my address has been removed from the account.
So just HMRC to sort out now.
Funerals are so expensive - no cars following but still over £5000.

A quick post as not much done due to childcare this week. DGD4 went to her friends overnight but I organised DGS4's friend to come over for the afternoon so he was happy. They went in pool, played football and with lego etc. Now at their dad's and home with mother tomorrow until next Thursday. I hope to tackle some frogs tomorrow. DD had some rain in the Midlands today but it once again missed us out. I went in opticians and they agreed to review my 6 month old glasses as I seem to be struggling with close work.

@tc77 if your local optician wouldn't take old specs, Lions collect them you can drop off or post, they also take old hearing aids and according to web site bras
Sorted my outside cupboard which contains my boiler this morning so the boiler man could have a look, I was glad I had tidied the wiring cupboard so he could look in there. Annoyingly there was stuff in cupboard for tip, after my holiday I'll book another tip run as I know my sister has stuff.
Three books dropped off at my sister tonight I'm sure they will be returned! Two old bras (beyond saving) put into bin tonight
Otherwise not much declutterring done today, I've caught up on my washing, just need to iron tomorrow. My sister and I are off to Northumberland for a couple of weeks on Saturday, I fear it's going to be wet, I don't mind the drop in temperature but I'm hoping not too much rain, I ha£ forgotten what rain feels like! My brother and sil are staying near by for a couple of nights from N Yorkshire so I'm looking forward to catching up.

Thanks @daisy_1571 and @Brambling .
Specsavers and boots stopped taking glassed during Covid and haven't gone back to it locally since. I'll try the independent one and if not lions.
Bin Collection tomorrow so tried to find more to go. 2 empty dvd cases , 2 boxes, also a door handle which had broken but luckily had another Justin 😄 also a broken small bin liner - plastic seems to have cracked and again had a spare which has lost its handle but is fine. And some unsubscribing. Count as 8 , total 1269.

@Florenceem - I'm not sure anyone can stop mail from coming. I still get mail for my father (died 2006), my mother (died 2008), my brother (died 1995), and my grandmother (died 1992). And we have gotten two ballots for the last two elections for a roommate who went back to Missouri 5 years ago. With the automation we have now, things are just automatically generated now from lists that are seldom up-to-date. I wish you peace in learning to respond to it.
