Seven books left at the bookswap today on my way into town (Garden Museum and Newport Street Gallery), which means I'm now at target - 12 more things out than in. Mostly books.
Now to keep it that way, and go again next year.
Fashion on the Ration 2026 - 12.5 coupons remaining (rolling over 1.5 from last year)
July Grocery Challenge - £115.04 of £250 spent
Declutter 12 things (net) in 2026 - 89 out and 78 in = 1 to lose13 -
EnergyShifter - I have considered getting new kitchen doors. I only have one damaged very narrow door by the range - I think the heat caused it to split.
MrsSD - I am leaving the blazer until I return home.
We had some rain - not much but it lasted a while.
I went out and bought maltesers for F - I had promised to take him some when I went to Nottingham but my last visit was so sudden - I didn't have time to buy them.
I did the ironing and have started to pack my case.
I received a voting form today - at least they had not included Mr F's name.
Decluttered - bag of diamond painting stuff x 2, dress x 3, 2 colour catchers, labels, a long sleeve top, padded envelope and 5 12 x 12 paper pads.

Afternoon all. It is much cooler but still no rain. Just done my banking for July - chunk of savings went on holidays so I need to be careful this month.
763-772 Ten children's items in CS bag
773 Assisted neighbour cutting and clearing up our joint hedge - both recycling bins full for Tuesday
774 Banking done and 1p saver checked - I am a week behind but will catch up.

Saturday is another warm sunny day with a high of 26°C, low of 15°C & a very light W breeze. First load of washing is in.
Liverpool_Anne, you certainly have been busy ☺️ You are a good friend 🥹 The “disturbing safeguarding incident” sounds very worrying, so it was a relief to hear that your friend E could step into the breach 🥹 This “I also work on the principle that plants have a choice once in the ground, live or die it’s up to them and they seem to thrive……” is my sort of gardening 😉 & we are also on clay.
oceanspirit, fingers crossed that you will soon be able to return to your favoured diet 🤞
Excellent decluttering Rootle 👏
surprisinglynice, yippee to the Tip run being done 👏 Hope you have a lovely time at the family event ☺️ Don’t forget to drop off a couple of slices of cheesecake to the buffet car on the EDT 🙊
suzeesu2000, your poor DH 😣 I am sure that our other halves are put on this earth just to worry us & give us white hair 😉 Hopefully the bruise on his head will not last too long 🤞 Great work completing all the scanning, filing & shredding 👏
1st load of washing out on the whirligig & 2nd load in wm………… now out on line
Florenceem, how lovely that 3 of your grandchildren visited 🥹 & what a treat for grandson F ☺️ I imagine he will be smiling for the rest of the year 😅 More excellent decluttering 👏
Excellent decluttering Willowtree222 👏 Coffee pods & batteries are the items that we, more often than not, forget to drop off 😉
TC77, great decluttering by both you & DD2 👏 Seems like DD2 has caught the Decluttering bug 🥳 Well done on the deep cleaning of the kitchen & bathroom 👏 I imagine it is a lot easier with all the decluttering you have been doing ☺️
Florenceem good luck packing your suitcase 🍀
Apologies but the heat is turning my brain to mush so I am finding it hard to concentrate 😞 I will be back later to continue the cheerleading. Hope everyone is having as good a day as possible 😊

Managed to get off my backside and get to the allotment today. As well as watering, I filled two builders' bags (only 70cm x 70cm x 90cm, not the full 1m as I can't lift it!) with brambles and thistles. Must book a trip tip - I've not done it since they introduced this new system to prevent too much queueing.

I think I am all packed now apart from toothbrush/toothpaste and slippers.
Being picked up at 8 am for the long journey to Nottingham - almost South Yorkshire.

Have a good trip x

Fomo came home tonight with a broken leg. Emergency vets where they said he also had brain damage. Not been hit by a car. The kindest thing was to put him to sleep. We stayed with him to the end. My big handsome boy, my very best friend.❤️ Vx
