I’ve been reading along but haven’t posted since the middle of last year, mostly because waiting for the date to declutter a cataract* was very anxiety-making. The time on the waiting list (only seven months, I know people wait longer for more serious problems, so I think I was lucky it was done so quickly) with no hint of when it might happen meant I couldn’t make any plans. I also had to miss a big family get-together and meeting my new great-niece, in any case I couldn’t have driven so far. Anyway, nothing which was “planned” for last year happened.
I’d like to say “may I join for this year please?” but I so easily get overwhelmed by the amount of stuff to sort out that not a lot gets done, and I also get tired easily so the energy is used up on the day-to-day living things, but at least it doesn’t get worse.
I have made no plans for this year, as I can’t keep to them. I shall just do things when I have energy and can see a place to start.
But I do like reading about everyone’s good work and clever ways of doing things, you all achieve so much, often in spite of your own or your families’ health challenges. I’m full of admiration.
*I’ve tried, but I can’t think of a good way to redistribute a cataract!“Tomorrow is another day for decluttering.”Decluttering 2023 🏅🏅🏅🏅⭐️⭐️

Tuesday is a dull overcast day. It was -5°C from 02:00 to 08:00 with a forecast high of 4°C feeling 2° colder due to a WSW wind. I have my first cuppa & am settling down to some cheerleading starting with those dated the 2nd & replying in the present tense:
Brambling, hopefully someone at the hospital will find time to check for a uti 🙏
Green_hopeful, that must be such a relief that your husband’s aunt is doing so much better in the care home 🥹
Muddy_Walker, shame that your ‘hubby’ has redistributed his cold to you 😞 but at least he is sharing 🤭 very sorry! Hopefully after your jab you can settle down with the book & dose yourself up with your cold remedy of choice 😊
Wednesday2000, fingers crossed that the CS are accepting donations 🤞 Hopefully you can contact the window cleaner soon 🤞
vulpix, are you sure you haven’t been in your new home for 3 years rather than 3 months 😉 You have definitely been busy - the living & dining rooms both look gorgeous 🤩 Pleased to hear it was only a sprinkling of snow so hopefully safe to go out & about if required 🤞Maybe MrV thinks he can repair the speakers 🤨
Nice to see you Gers 😊
Lovely to see you tibawo 👋 Sorry to hear that your decluttering campaign last year was scuppered by you catching the particularly nasty flu bug followed by your Mum being in hospital 😔 I imagine you are both glad to see the back of 2025. Pleased to hear that your Mum is home & on the road to recovery 🥹 I love the Weekly Plan 👏 especially No.1 😉 & wish you success in building sustainable routines 😊 I know you can do it 👏
I have broken off here at 12:30 Tuesday the 6th of January as my DSis has just pointed out that it is snowing ❄️ ❄️ & by the look of it for a while as there is a fine layer of slow settled on the road out the front of the house. Forecast says it will stop in 10 minutes 😞 As I have reached the end of a page & the end of my first hot drink it seems like the perfect time to post 😉 I do hope that everyone is managing to stay warm 🙏 See you later 👋
