@floss I always thought that was abit of a marketing ploy although aware if left in sun and daylight deteriorates but I think some of mine go back well over a year! Will do a cull later.
Focusing on some admin and papers, and trying to find some emails.
Owning up here to one account having 7795 emails (2191 unread) and the other 12,211 emails with 2003 unread! I have some folder set up and have unsubscribed to 4 things.
Target for year end 1000 emails and no more than 200 unread (some I need to keep but don't need to read if that makes sense for each account. I have no idea if this is realistic but going to record progress at the end of each month.
@ionafan well done on the photographs!

Hi, I am very sorry for your loss Mrs SD, condolences to both you and Mr SD. xxx
I have finally caught up with all the posts, I hope poorlies and people having difficult times are feeling better.
I have been so very, very busy and the heat although probably cooler here than for some of you has been difficult for me.
We survived baby sitting the 2 year old and 10 month old…just. Picture the scene. telly on, duplo all over the floor, baby having an inconsolable crying jag. Cat wanders in with a mouse in his mouth. Drops said live mouse into the duplo. Mouse runs behind the telly. Cat looks for it an then loses interest. Managed to console the baby. Toddler went to bed, no mouse to be found. Son phones, is everything ok? erm yes, you have a new resident, no problem we will sort it. He then phones back, wheres toddler? in bed. No just looked on the camera he isn't there! Zoomed upstairs, he was asleep behind the bedroom door on the floor. I imagine it was cooler. Unharmed mouse caught later that night and released back into the garden by DS. I feel like I have completed an iron man competition!
Weekend, all the family descended on us including the children. DS,DD1 and I made delish food and a good time was had by all. Baby cut a first tooth. Whilst everyone was here DD2 and Mr V cut down a massive hedge in the back garden in all that heat and did 2 tip runs with it. We emptied the shed and will lift the plastic shed onto the side garden and refill later. All the bed making, cooking etc was challenging in the heat but a good time had by all. Both daughters went home Monday night. DS and family went last night.
It is a little cooler here today. Poor J the builder. We almost have some stone steps up to the front of the house.
We are still putting the house back together and the washing machine is on.
We are going to Sheffield shortly to help DD1 take an old bed frame to the tip whilst it is still dry on the drive.
Busy tomorrow, volunteering in the morning then a trip to the bank for the lads wages and a visit to someone giving me some plants.
Friday, mammogram then off down South again to the theatre, then Saturday calling in on DS again on the way back up North. Sunday, Mr V goes to work. Monday, bring it on, nothing planned.
Take care Vx

Forgot to say, pair of Mr V's trainers in the bin, the sole came off and I gave DD2 some slippers that were my size but too small for me.

Young J has left - he put the first coat of paint on 3 walls. He will be back tomorrow to do a second coat.
Now builder J is here and there is a lot of noise while he is fitting the wardrobe doors. The wardrobe frame is not square so he is planing to make the doors fit.
Last pair of gloves are done. I will put them upstairs in the finished makes box and the pattern in the knitting/crochet box.

What a day of decluttering.
So garage items except one piece have been collected and lots more was taken.
Left the house today:
A broken bag
2 bikes
2 scooters
A patio furniture set including table
Another table
Heated airer
Beer making equipment
Storage container with all rattan furniture cushions in it.
A guitar
Four pieces of clothing
A generator
A slushy machine
Some trainers.
Then the bean bag double sofa sold so that will be collected I the next few weeks. She did let me know she couldn't collect immediately and was she still ok to bid. I said that was fine.
II can not believe how empty the garage now feels. Long overdue being collected, but glad that it has gone now.

Starting afresh.

It definitely deteriorates over time. I tend to only buy factor 50 (I'm very pale) and then if I have some leftover post the summer I use it up the next year for the times I don't need 50 (generally earlier in the year), knowing it would be less than 50 at that point. As there's 4 of us, we seem to use them all up quite regularly, although I always seem to have one I need to use up at any one time. You can also write the year on them so you know when they were opened.

Well done on that cupboard @TC77 and love that mini greenghouse @Floss
@BlueJ94 , the notifications don't seem to be working unless you are @ or quoted. I've got a tab open for Bookmarks, and just refresh that to see if there are new posts to go to.
Managed to mow the lawn (the flymo hasn't left home in protest yet!!), clear the weeds and remove the ground cover fabric so that the drainage people can get to the blocked drain tomorrow morning.
More weeding on the allotment, but it was too hot yesterday to do anything except watering.
Well done everyone for their declutters.

The talk of sunscreen prompted me to go and 'turn out' the holiday drawer which was a muddle. Out went a swimming hat (worn once in Italy many years ago where they were compulsory) and sunscreen I've had at least 2 years. I cancelled my lunch out today as mouth is very sore due to another big filling coming away and leaving rough area which is scratching my tongue. Not so painful today but not easy to eat. Dentist appointment Monday.
I went for a wander round shops and bought an ottoman at Mr D which is ideal for DGS4's collection of stuffies which he doesn't want to part with. Mr D have a sale on. Lovely garden visit yesterday with tea and biscuits. On the way back I bought another raspberry bush, a tomato plant, a melon (trying again this year but never suceeded yet) and a chilli pepper. The ground is now just too hard to dig. I may empty potting shed of doom in the morning. DGCs here after lunch.
I found another sheet and mattress cover for the single bed which had ended up separated from the others. Also a spider man cushion belonging to DGS4. Tradesmen chased up.
