Its too hot to do anything really. Having a bacon sandwich. DS2 came up early with chain saw and dug main stump out along with lots of roots. I can clear the area now and make a pebble pathway along side the drive which will match what is on the other side. We took stump along with one at DS2's house to tip in my car using a mattress from my garage which also needed to go so hopefully car isn't too dirty. My bedding is on the line so think that will dry quickly. Now is probably a good time to wash the various fleeces and rugs around the house. More pruning done - garden bin is full but should be emptied tomorrow. Decluttered another filling yesterday - I am already booked in for a large filling next Monday. This one is not painful but more annoying as there is a rough edge.

I need to go shopping but will leave it until later and also have some frogs to do.

Decluttered a frog and made a will. Nice and straightforward as I'm leaving everything to my god daughter and my brother - I have other family members I'm close to but they're all about 20 years older than me and more financially secure.
I've also gone through my clothes and got rid of some socks that were getting thin, packed my heavier jumpers, socks and gloves in my small suitcase out of the way to free up wardrobe space over the summer, and hung my raincoat up in a prominent place to remind me to take it to the cleaners.
Went up to the Chelsea in Bloom fairly early sunday morning (it started getting crowded at 10.15 and I hopped on a bus and came home). Favourite pic attached.

Trying to catch up with 7 pages of chatter as apparently notifications haven't worked for nearly a week - if you normally follow something you might want to check on your bookmarked threads.
edited to add - I guess I was the last to notice!! Oh well. My excuse was I've been a bit distracted having been to the hospital to declutter some blood and bone marrow. That was rather ouchy!!!

Oww indeed. I think sitting inside with recuperative chocolate biscuits (too hot to eat them outside) is called for!

I don't know what is happening - yesterday a suitcase was dumped in my front garden - today a hoover has been left in my next door neighbour's one.
J did 2 coats of emulsion on the ceiling and finished up the paint by putting it on the lilac feature wall to help coverage when he does it with Timeless. The next job is to paint 3 walls after doing a bit of filling and removing cable clips. I now have 3 empty paint pots in the driveway.
I heard that my sofa was being delivered on 31 may. I don't want it delivered on a Sunday. Changed it to the following Tuesday.
J the builder came round - he measured up for doors on the built in wardrobe. This is bigger than the other two so he won't have to cut down the doors but will need to add a middle section. He was getting the doors today but will pick up the timber and hardware tomorrow. He said he is fitting the doors this week.
I was in pain even after taking 2 painkillers. I took 2 different ones and sat knitting while they worked. Then I have carried on with sorting stuff.

Yesterday’s post:
Sunday continued: Finally left at 12:15 with DSis driving. DH had thought that it would take a maximum of 80 minutes but a combination of heavy traffic & accident ‘gawking’ added 35 minutes to the journey so we arrived 14:10. A beautiful thatched cottage in a lovely countryside setting with plenty of car parking space. We had a tour of the cottage - quite small (actually 2 cottages combined) but with an extension across the back. Very well appointed as it had been extensively renovated with lots of storage incorporated everywhere & there is a loft. Better than the cottage are the outbuildings - a very large building used as a garage by the previous owner but now an extra living room with a laundry room & loo area plus a loft extending the whole length. R & N will be converting the loft to a couple of bedrooms when funds allow. Next to the ‘garage’ is another building which would make a perfect workshop/craft room. There is also an enormous shed + a swimming pool & best of all a large area at one side of the house which R & N have made into a fenced off, gravelled, raised bed vegetable garden with a a long work bench & a mini greenhouse. See pics
View from the back gardenThere were about 40 family & friends in attendance. It was a relaxed, chatty day full of laughter with adults & children enjoying the pool & partaking of great food. DH & I remarked how well & happy both R & N looked 🥹 They are thoroughly enjoying country life 🥹 A wonderful day & a mystery was solved 😉………. a birthday card & cheque were never received 😖 I will sort out on Monday. The party started breaking up about 19:00 & we left at 19:45 with DH driving. A clear run home which took 82 minutes 🥳 We all felt a little peckish so DD had a sandwich & DSis & I had baked beans on toast. Wudupa.

Beautiful house.
Tumble dryer collected from garage. The rest of the items are to be picked up on Wednesday, fingers crossed. I had a route in the garage and founds oddments that could go in the general waste bin, they have now been put out ready for collection tomorrow.
I have sold my patio furniture set. A garden storage unit holding the cushions for the furniture set and a double seat bean bag. All are waiting collection. I like it when big items go, it makes a huge difference.
Getting quotes for some work so a skip will be arriving when that is taking place. I suspect August as that is when the workers have said they have availability. I am absolutely fine with those dates.
Managed to get all washing, including all the bedding and coats done with this lovely weather. It feels like an accomplishment to see the bottom of the wash basket.
Hoping Wednesday's pick up goes to plan. That will really see a huge difference to my garden and garage.

@Willowtree222 well done on decluttering and hope the big items get picked up.
Mrs SD lovely photos, and amazing home
Neighbour came in for tea in the garden but had to come through the house so looked like a respectable lived in slightly messy house after my tidying !
old phone case, cardboard box and some packaging out, 200 chats on phone deleted, some a few years old, more to do, 3 batteries, and some papers, and sorted through cables to check with DD2 when home but like with like where possible. Counting as 12, 1 for each 50 chats deleted.

Sorted some papers and hoping to do more tomorrow as I don't intend going out of the house tomorrow until the evening, although going out today just after 6pm the heat was intense.
Hope everyone is staying as safe as possible in the heat, I know not everyone has the heatwave!

1 of DHs T shirts, a navy blue duvet cover & 5 mugs in charity bag.
2 pairs of broken kitchen tongs binned
3 coloured vests in the pile to go on Vinted.
My friend came this morning to collect her newspapers. She uses them for the rabbits and Guinea pigs she has rescued. She collects every 4 weeks which amounts to three very heavy carrier bags full.
Was up at 0630 in the Hope of getting something done before it became unbearable. It was lovely and cool in the back yard so I had the back door open with the screen in place, I think Frankie enjoyed the cool as well. Must be awful for the poor little chap being as he is black as well and black absorbs the heat.
Windowsill onions are going mad. I snipped enough for 2 very full ice cube trays this morning, they were very strong as well,Hope everyone is coping okay, drink lots and don’t forget the sunscreen!
