DSis and I have had a bit of an attack at the shed and garden before it got too hot and scorchy.
Garden fairy lights hung along the alley - we really need a new small stepladder as ours is getting quite rickety.
Verbena cuttings potted on.
Tom and chilli potted up.
Sort out of some xmas and Easter bits. They’re currently sat by the gatepost for passers by. If they don’t go today we’ll take them to the CS tomorrow.
The ‘front veranda! And the ‘top veranda’ have been watered with wet and forget to clear the lichen.

Saturday is a gloriously sunny day with a high of 29°C (feeling 1° warmer due to a WNW breeze) & a low of 19°C.
Thank you all for your kind thoughts & condolences 🥹 M was a very special lady - determined & full of life. She made the most of every day especially relevant as her parents (DH’s brother & sister in law) had been told that they would be very fortunate if M reached her 10th birthday. Her stubbornness was legendary as was her love of exotic holidays 🥹
Excellent decluttering Willowtree222 👏

Trying very hard not to declutter our garden bench which is falling apart. If I can just hold it together for a couple more years it will save us a bob or.two. it is in a very sad state. It is a hardwood bench and the wood has gone very dry One end has come apart and it is certainly not fit to sit on. Made a start today
Managed 3/4 of an hour this afternoon. It was so hot that I couldn't do more. I have used some very strong wood glue that we already had and drove a very long nail into the leg that had come adrift from the main bench. Tried to get a long screw I to the bottom of leg bit it just got stuck half way
DH arrived home whilst I was struggling with it and managed to get it out again. He is going to try some long nails tomorrow. Hoping that after some wood restorer I will be able to post a pic of my new looking stable bench? 🤣. Very MSE

I can't believe the amount of stuff in that large ROD - whatever was I doing?
A good find - my dear dad's war medals. Daughter and granddaughter called here with my M&S goodies and to collect craft bits. Daughter said that she thought my sister had the medals and had given them to her son. The medals were meant for my eldest son - I will take them with me when I visit.
I have spent hours sorting out in that room in the heat. There is still stuff in there to sort but I have had enough for today.
Decluttered - waste fabric off cuts, bubble wrap packaging, pack of wipes, bag of Christmas decoupage, bags of yarn ends, pack of covered coat hangers, bits of duvet inners, tee shirt, tub of crochet hooks, teddy decorations, applique, decorated comb, cello bag, ribbon bows, pair of socks, Easter containers, pillowcase + filling, 4 tea pot stands, pack of rubber stamps x 19, magazines, knitting pattern, pamphlet, 5 necklaces, labels, pair of jeans, puzzle in a bag, lavender, watch and a ring.

Mrs SD, M sounds an amazing woman. Hugs and condolences to all the family.
Up again v early, and been active interspersed with rest 😄
Washed 2 winter wool jumpers by hand - my w/m says does wool wash but takes nearly 2 hours and 40 degree which is more than my usual wash. As find that if you hand jumpers on anything the lines get embedded, so put garden and another table in sun(but as not solid, laid out newspaper and fabric and laid them out - hopefully ok soon.
Fleece blanket and wool rug , plastic basket, pillow case and 2 tops added to CS bag (all just washed and dried) and have another top but can't find my de-bobbler to see if it can be improved in one area. Bag now ready to be dropped off. Fabric added to the bag for the craft group.
Sweeping and mopping and trying to find things - not looking for but found one of the vintage sheets (1937 in laundry marker) and it has no marks on it so in my room ready to use, other things in random areas so putting in more sensible areas.
Some papers out, and digital decluttering.
Have emailed a charity that takes more vintage items and has a workshop re bedside table, hatbox and hanging suitcase - hopefully they will take.
I will go out later and drop of an item with packaging - its near L*** where my cats insist I get their litter turning their nose up at anything more classy - very MSE! Only problem is they don't deliver.
Adding 11 , new total 699.
Hoping computer charity will take things next week (fingers crossed) but can't see getting to 1000 I think I said end of May, now making it the end of June which I'll be happy with but setting a target and deadline did motivate me.
Tried an old radio and decided I'd keep as really nice sound and don't have any upstairs.

So sorry to hear your family news, Mrs S-D

so sorry for your loss @ Mrs SD.
The only reasonable thing about this weather is that it dries the washing, the end! And if anyone else says “isn’t it a lovely day.” I shall bat ‘em with me walking sticks😂 I am currently sat betwixt the air con and a fan which is the only place I can do breathing, heat makes my asthma and arthritis really bad. I’ll stop gripping 😁
2 additions to the charity bag. Dinner for both was rolls from freezer, DH had ham and I had bacon from freezer. Too hot to eat.
Although I moan about the heat, I do hope those that like it are able to enjoy their weekend. Have fun and remember the sunscreen if you’re out in it.
Have a good night, sweet dreams xx
