dND, I completely understand the cost of house renno and making a garden. Materials are so much more expensive than you anticipate.I gave the side garden/ drive a very good tidy up a couple of months ago. I have noticed the brambles are back with vigour. I am like you ,spinning plates and when I have the time to do anything in the garden, the weather is just too wet. I have done very, very little in the back garden. Just a few plants dug up and given away and a lot of rubbish taken to the tip. Mr V and DD1 dragged an inherited 60's concrete planter onto the drive for me the other day. I have bought a pink Cordyline for it. I am hoping it will look groovy at the front of the house near the steps. Or not, time will tell. My cats are enjoying the dug soil in the front. I will have to resort to sticking branches in to keep them off when the garden is planted.

Pleased you may have got to the right amount of pain meds Florenceem. Long may pain free continue.

I have given away a big bag of empty jam jars to someone who asked on FB. Jars being reused and giving a bag away too. win, win.

Sadly my favourite mug with Shetland puffins has a big chip, I have been strict, it has gone in the bin.

    Vx
