@suzeesu2000 So sorry to hear your news.
It's about 16 months since my mom died and I'm still trying to figure it out. OH & I were on holiday a week back and he asked if I needed any postcards and I almost burst in to tears. Wanted to say "who would I be sending one to?" but just managed a quick "no" and moved on to talk about something else. I tried to write to her even if it was just a card or something silly - just because I wanted her to be getting some post I guess and it would give her something to talk about to people at the place she was living. It's all these dumb little things that catch us off guard at times.
I hope you have some good memories that you can focus on over the next few days and months. Big hugs available here whenever you need them.

Many thanks for all the kind thoughts and hugs today. I had a message from the officer and his wife.
I had looked on the council site about my bin collection which didn't happen yesterday - it was down to be done today - guess what - it wasn't collected.
I wrestled with the new cable tidies under my computer desk. I have one lead that goes and comes from nowhere so that is wound up and I will ask the computer man about it. I have another lead that goes into the back of my pc and then is not plugged in anywhere.
I have been bringing stuff downstairs from the old office room - a lot is going to my friend's charity shop. I also have a pile started for my daughter's school.
I have listed 2 things on the local Freegle site.
Decluttered - nailbrush, masking tape, catalogue, foam, floor wipes, jiffy bag, table/stand, box of cleats, plastic bag, packaging, card box, brown paper bag, box of wooden rubber stamps, clock radio, pack of coloured paper, craft magazine x 2, pack of white paper, throw, blouse, dress, box of mixed rubber and polymer stamps, paper punches.

@suzeesu2000 I'm so sorry to hear the sad news about your Mum.
I know you said she was 104 recently and you were obviously very close.
You must have some wonderful memories of all the good times together over the decades which you can look back on. (This is what helped me cope when I lost my Mum).
Sending you hugs
xx

Two sauce bottles decluttered as they've been in the cupboard for ages! Also 3 mini bath bombs. Better than nothing

sorry to hear your news suzeesu
First are always difficult Florenceem but it looks like you kept yourself very busy
No real decluttering done this week other than the garden on Monday. I met my friend on Tuesday and volunteered Wednesday, Friday and today. Two Petworth days meant I could decompress with books and chats to other book lovers 😁 I did take in three books today but have realised I've stressed shopped books recently (just CS ones) and the numbers in and not yet read are creeping up again.
Car insurance has been sorted for the year saving £30 but my other financial frog is still waiting for action next week.
I was blindsided whilst visiting elderly friend on Thursday when she arranged a meeting with a company who supply live in carers I found out when I got there, even if our local authority allows her to have direct pay funding I'm convinced she can't afford it just because she would need to pay a % all her bills and feed herself and the carer and I believe they will take her attendance allowance to help fund. I will try and speak to someone next week but I'm sure she thinks I'm always shooting her ideas down 😕 her well meaning friends keep coming up with 'good' ideas but aren't aware of her finances. She did admit I was right and that the care homes friends have been suggesting she try won't take LA funding she did call them all on her list, unfortunately she hasn't grasped that as she needs funding it doesn't work that way and unfortunately our LA work very slow…
