Saturday was a dull overcast day with a forecast high of 13°C (feeling 6° colder due to a brisk WSW wind) & a low of 9°C. About 14:00 the clouds dispersed a little & we have brilliant sunshine. Rather than adding to the freezer contents, I had the lo portion of sausage & spinach linguine for lunch 😋 I spent the day watching TV, doing puzzles, reading & knitting ……. but not all at the same time 🙊 Dinner was fried chicken, boiled new potatoes & sweetcorn. Wudupa.

The wind has been rather strong today, so have been feeling rather cold 🥶 Now I should make a start on catching up with the cheerleading starting from posts dated the 10th 😉
vulpix, decluttering to DD2 very cheeky 😉 Well done on knitting the neckband on one jumper 👏 Good luck with the 2nd one & also the snagging jobs 🍀
Excellent decluttering GrannyKate 👏 Hope you have a wonderful holiday & that Sox enjoys his stay in the cattery ☺️
Florenceem, very pleased to hear that you had no pain Thursday night 😮💨 Long may it continue 🙏 Hopefully your bestie just overslept & contacted you later in the day 🤞Good luck removing the masking tape 🍀
2Scratters, shame about decluttering the iron 😔 although it sounds like it gave many good years of service 😊 Great work with the continued decluttering especially of your parents stuff 👏 Hopefully the WIP kitchen will gradually be completed 🤞
Very MSE BlueJ94 🥳 £50 per month is an excellent saving 👏
Brie, hopefully you will start to feel better soon 🙏 Sounds like you have a good plan for a bespoke piece of furniture 😊
Lovely cheerleading post Moorviews 😊 Excellent work & good luck with your other plans for Friday 🍀
florianatwobob, loved the “thistle up her bum” analogy about your sister 🙊 Great work in the shed 👏
Dizzycap, sorry to hear that the 2nd opinion about Babyface was not better news 🥺 Although very pleased to hear that she has had a good day 🥹 Hopefully there are many more to come with suitably restful days in between 🙏 Gentle cwtches for both you & Babyface 🤗
Muddy_Walker, sounds like Rogan is keeping you busy ☺️ I had to laugh at This “Rogan just launches toys at me, stares until I move and wallops me in the face 😂” I am hoping you will treat us to a photo of your newly painted fingernails🤞 sounds very colourful 😊 I never knew that about decluttering nail varnish 🤔 seems highly impractical & I would do the same as you 😊
Florenceem, you have had a busy day 👏 Sorry to hear that your bestie has almost lost her voice 😞 Hopefully she will get better quickly 🤞 Also keeping my fingers crossed that builder J can come up with a workable solution to fixing units to wonky walls 🤞 I do hope you didn’t strain yourself moving your sewing machine 🙏
Green_hopeful that is certainly a disaster re the car 😱 no wonder you are nervous 😟 As for the worn out elbow on your favourite cashmere cardigan, my suggestion is Sashiko & making a feature of the repair 😊
Moorviews, great suggestions for green_hopeful re repairing her cardigan 👏 Great work dealing with frogs 👏 Good luck culling your cardigans 🍀
vulpix, plants in pots covering a mud patch sounds good 😊 Just think how happy you will be once you do the 2nd neck 😉
Florenceem, you are in my thoughts. Gentle cwtches 🤗 Good luck stocking your craft room 🍀
florianatwobob, I like the sound of your repair - a bold choice ☺️
Yorkie1, love the story about your mum’s cat 🤣 Good luck with your decluttering plan once your guests have left 🍀
Brie, thanks for the information on Turtle Dove 😊
Yorkie1, what a lucky friend 🥹
Soontobeoap, brilliant work in your crafting shed with some excellent decluttering 👏 A Gold Star ⭐️ is on its way. Hopefully now that you have started the rest of the sorting out will be a lot easier 🤞
I have made a big dent in the cheerleading but am flagging now, so will love you & leave you 😊 Sleep tight 😴

Good morning, Hows tricks?
Did a bit of cluttering yesterday and spent the money earned from selling the opticians cabinet on a stone balustrade, some compost and some pansies. I have a sun dial already to go on the balustrade, iv'e been on the look out for one for ages. Just need a break in the April showers to get out and pot up the pansies.
In an unnecessary move I decided to embroider flowers on the sausage dog ears. One ear to finish. All parts of dogs and bags cut and pinned and ready to go. Anything than do the neck on the jumper. A good dent will be made in stuffing, fabric, felt and embroidery thread stash.
I don't know if I said, the bathroom guy has put us back to August. No rush, the bathroom is perfectly adequate, though I don't know how much longer my knee will let me get in and out of a bath. We don't use the shower,it's grim. Squeezed into what once was a hot water tank cupboard.
I was going to buy new bedroom door knobs, painted them black with paint I had, very MSE. They look great.
Batch cooking day today, let the chopping commence.

MrsSD - my new sewing machine is on wheels so easy to move. I requested wheels when I bought it as they are such a weight to lift.
MrsSD - .my bestie always gets up very early - usually before 4 am.
My bestie picked me up early so we could unload her car into the charity shop. She had a lot of good donations from her daughter's friend. I had a lot of stuff ready for her as well. Bestie will be early at the shop tomorrow to sort out donations.
Bestie came in to see my progress in the craft room. I had put my wicker sewing basket on top of one of the units. Bestie gave me 3 baskets that had been donated as she thinks they look great with my white units.
Went to Church - couldn't stop for tea as bestie was looking after her baby granddaughter for the first time.
As I got home someone came to collect the table that I had put on Freegle.
After another cup of tea - I will change out of my uniform and carry on with sorting stuff to bring downstairs into my craft room. I have decided that downstairs will be where I have my fabrics, cottons and sewing paraphernalia I will also have my trimmed down equipment for paper crafts downstairs. The craft storage room upstairs will be for yarn crafts. Whether this will work remains to be seen.

Sunday is a gloriously sunny day with a high of 14°C (feeling 5° colder due to a brisk SW wind) & a low of 7°C Out front, DH has trimmed next door neighbour’s hedge & ours - they are almost the same height now 😊 & has also trimmed all the hedges in the back garden 👏 He has earned himself another medal🏅 I will make a start on yesterday’s cheerleading:
Lovely post Dizzycap 😊 I confess to rather liking the magpies that visit our back garden as they reduce the number of pigeons that tend to congregate 🙂 Excellent work decluttering so much planting up 👏 Very pleased to hear that Babyface has had such a good day & followed your example by having a nap during the day 🥹
Muddy_Walker, sounds like you had a lovely time ☺️ Rogan is definitely a cheeky chappie 😉
Beautiful post Brie 🥹 Gentle cwtches 🤗
Excellent decluttering Florenceem 👏 It sounds like you are making great inroads with moving crafting supplies from upstairs to downstairs 😊 Fingers crossed that your bin gets emptied 🤞 Our council has been known to come round on a Sunday occasionally, just to catch up when they have fallen behind 🧐
Lovely post regnbue 🥹
BlueJ94, good decluttering & remember every single item out is a win 👏
Brambling, sounds like you have had several lovely days combining your love of books with your volunteering🥹 So much for ‘well meaning friends’ 😞 it seems like every time you get the ball rolling someone pokes their oar in & unsettles your elderly friend 😔 Gentle cwtches 🤗
vulpix, pleased to hear that you treated yourself to some garden ware 😊 I had to laugh at This “In an unnecessary move I decided to embroider flowers on the sausage dog ears. One ear to finish. All parts of dogs and bags cut and pinned and ready to go. Anything than do the neck on the jumper.” 🤣 I do hope that you will treat us to pictures of the finished articles 😉 A pity about the bathroom renovation being delayed until August 😞 I am still hoping that you can get some sort of treatment for your knee 🤞Great work painting the bedroom door knobs rather than buying new 👏 Not only MSE but also a good step forward in ‘using up’ 🥳 Good luck with your batch cooking 🍀
Florenceem, your bestie gets up before I go to bed 🙊 no wonder you were a bit concerned 🙁 Sounds like you have had a very busy Sunday morning 👏 A craft room & a craft storage room 🤩 Hopefully your decision to use each area for different types of crafting will be successful 🤞
Hope everyone has as good a day as possible 😊 Plenty of cwtches 🤗 are available & don’t forget the TLC Carriage is open as usual ☺️
P.S. unfortunately the cloud has succeeded in hiding the sun so now feels rather chilly 🥶

Thank you to everyone for the cardigan repair ideas. I think I will try to do a visible mend.
Big hugs to @suzeesu2000 and anyone who needs it.
@Brambling its super frustrating when you are trying your best to make progress and other wellbeing people make suggestions that make no sense. You end up going round in circles.

I will take a photo of the mess I have to sort in the old office - already done some too.
My next door neighbour put a little card through my door about me having a difficult day yesterday.
There was a big envelope through my door this morning - 5 dvds of the COL. Only been waiting since February 6 for them. There is a chap with special needs who wants a dvd. I will get it in the post to him.
My bestie is saying that a small air fryer would be useful for me. I haven't made any move towards getting one since they came out. What do people who live on their own think about an air fryer?
I am finding craft stuff that I had forgotten about - it can go to the charity shop as if I haven't used it in so long - I never will. Plus the style of my paper crafting has changed.
April showers here - I came out of Church carrying my coat and it was raining hard. The rain stopped on the way home.
I had a message from the Freegler thanking me again for the table - such good manners.
