@suzeesu2000 have you seen the benefits of beetroot? I love to add some chilli powder and turn the jar upside down to leave to marinade for about a week, the infused beetroots or sliced type doesn't matter is delish and puts a new tilt on your salad 😋
Managed to declutter the iron yesterday as it gave up the ghost. It did come from parents house as it was under the sink as a spare. The cord has been saved as it is not easy to get long flexible flexes anymore. Apparently the shops say its cheaper to buy a new iron.
Small stuff has been keeping being moved on out. I have also found that letting go of parents items I fetched home and have since moved them on/out with no regrets.
The kitchen is still WIP 🙄 we'll leave that there.
Have a good week all

That was my plan - but I need to wait until we're both a bit better. My thought for it was a bench bit into which we can sling our shopping bags. And then either side something going up but with a small drawer at table top height (with a small cupboard under that?) and then just a big rustic style board (or ? solid colour??) with large wooden pegs. maybe lower ones might have jackets on but above that about 12 or so for "some" of his hats. And maybe a shelf above that for his hat boxes with his out of season hats. (did I mention he has a lot of hats)
The space available is fairly large and previously he has pointed out ikea items that would be quite a bit smaller and provide less "hat space".

@Dizzycap - it all sounds very worrying for babyface and her health. I hope that your consultation with the other vet proves useful xx
@Muddy_Walker - It's good to see you but sorry to hear of Rogan's sore nose. I hope it heals up quickly. It sounds like you are doing well with the garden. I have a fair amount of garden under cardboard too. I don't count things either but it doesn't matter as the stuff still goes! I dislike admin intensely so it would be counterproductive for me.
@vulpix - love that meme, so true of me unfortunately!
@QueenJess - good to see you, hopefully rested after the holiday!
@GrannyKate - wishing you a good holiday and some sunshine.
Today, I have the inevitable Friday fridge sort to do. It will be an eclectic lunch. I have completed one admin frog this morning and have another couple to do this afternoon. Downstairs vacuumed and floor washed already. Bathroom has been half cleaned earlier so will also finish that. I will put my decorated eggs away, dispose of the branches and bring another few blossom twigs indoors. It is very chilly so I may get some crochet done and drink tea later!

I was unexpectedly lured into the shed today by DSis…..the thistle up her bum has been firmly reinserted it appears (it’s a joke from our mum about DSis not being able to sit still for fidgeting about).
Anyway the shed has been rejiggled…..still can’t fit all the compost in and found some bits for charity. Including the sealed spare blades for the now defunct strimmer.

Hi all xxxx
Nice to be able to have a few minutes to myself to be able to pop in and say hello to everyone. It's been very hectic here since 4am this morning and I have only just physically stopped but the pain is beyond belief 😣😥.
@ Moorviews - The second opinion was exactly what I thought and was expecting with 'that' chat also included. The decision was made to gradually reduce her steroids with fortnightly blood tests to keep an eye on things, but naturally, I observe everything when it comes to babyface, so will be jumping on any complications or changes in her physical wellbeing pronto. My associate has registered Lady with the Vet practice and they are available for Babyface 24/7 along have their own animal ambulance which would be with me in 10-15 minutes, if she should even need emergency treatment in the middle of the night etc. Interestingly, I began reducing the steroid dosage today and babyface has been having the time of her life in the garden, crazy ramps, buttons up kicking her legs up on the freshly cut lawn, taking interest in the flowers in the garden, and standing looking as if she's never seen anything like it before! She's been through all the bags of food shopping that were delivered early this afternoon and is presently trotting around like Missy Queen inspecting all parcels and letters that have been opened😂🤣 TBH, it's the best I've seen her in almost 3 months, and that's more like my girl - In charge, and everyone knows it 😂🤣 xxxx However, I suspect tomorrow, she'll be burnt out and slobbing around all weekend, which is absolutley fine with me as that's what I'll be doing too! We do quality days, not quantity 😋🤗, although I have to stop so that she stops in order that she still gets her much needed rest xxxx
Babyface is now snoring her head off with her head half in a cardboard box of goodies, so no chance of actaully looking at the items that have been delievered, so I'm off to get some dinner and naturally, a very large mug of coffee.
Take care all & speak again tomorrow - Ta-ta for now hugs to all xxxx

Friday is a bright sunny day with a high of 13°C (feeling 4° cooler due to a brisk SSW wind) & a low of 7°C. DH has finished the last of the hm soup 😋 I have just rearranged my dentist appointment as I have the start of a cold ☹️Deb4, £10 per child for the farm visit seems reasonable 😊 However free tickets for the cinema is definitely better 😉 Sorry to hear that you have had to resort to taking painkillers 😞 Hopefully now that you have an appointment to discuss your blood test results, some explanation might be available 🤔 Good luck with the shopping trip 🍀I am keeping my fingers crossed that you can tear your DS away from the dinosaurs long enough to buy his school shoes 🤞 Wishing you a Happy 50th birthday 🎂 🎉 How about a spa day/weekend with a friend/s or maybe a day out to somewhere you have always wanted to visit 🤔
Florenceem, you & young J have been very busy again 👏 I will keep my fingers crossed that J the builder can attach the units to the walls on the 10th, so that you can get started with filling them 🤞The room is finally coming together 😊 but please be careful moving boxes 🙏 As to all the empty cardboard boxes, could you arrange an earlier Tip run so that they are not clogging up your garage 🤔
oceanspirit, how intriguing 🧐 I will keep everything crossed that although the 6 part frog is bigger, it will be easier & quicker to complete as it has become exciting 🤞🙏 Excellent decluttering 👏
Excellent decluttering BlueJ94 👏
Hope you had a wonderful holiday QueenJess & that the weather was kind to you ☺️ Excellent decluttering 👏 & good luck using up freezer contents 🍀 Just had a French raspberry macaron & you are correct…. It was delicious 😋
Welcome back Muddy_Walker lovely to see you 👋 Don’t worry about counting, we each have to find what method works best for our decluttering journey ☺️ Perhaps a quick before & after photo might remind you how far you have come 🤔 Sounds like you & your hubby have been busy both decluttering & working in the garden 👏 I hope you will be pleased to hear that I try hard to make sure awards are given regardless of any counting 😊 so I am awarding you a Gold Star ⭐️ + one for your hubby ⭐️ Sorry to hear that Rogan has been in the wars 😔 Hopefully he is on the mend ❤️🩹
Dizzycap, I was pleased to hear that Babyface’s blood test results came back & were very good 🥹 Sending lots of positive vibes for Babyface & you, as well as many gentle cwtches 🤗
Excellent work BlueJ94 👏
Broke off here to act as DH’s assistant in the garden - weeding & general tidying + clearing some space in the shed - 4 cardboard boxes broken down & recycled (641 - 644) About 45 minutes of work made quite a difference 😊 Of course now my cheerleading mojo needs recharging 😉 I will be back later 👋

Thank you for the huge welcome back! And thank you for my stars MrsSD 😘
I’ve noticed since Pepper passed away Rogan has calmed down a lot more although he will be 9 this year….about average for a Sprocker! He’s taken on the nursemaid role from Pepper who used to give me furious licks, allllll the toys and gentle tapping on the arm. Rogan just launches toys at me, stares until I move and wallops me in the face 😂 His nose is much better now and he’s currently lying on my feet.
Babyface fingers crossed “that” conversation is ages away…..one of the worst to have I think. But also one of the kindest ❤️I found some old nail varnish so have been testing it. I now have 10 different coloured nails and the old manky nail varnish is now binned. My nails have really suffered through my treatment and I keep them short. The look nicer now. Although trying to work out which bin they go in was a work of art. In England they have to be emptied and the glass recycled. In Wales they go in the general waste. So that’s where they are. Life is too short to empty gluey nail varnish from tiny bottles!
Hugs to all xxxxx
