No sewing! I painted all our bedroom furniture instead.
LOVING the dark green emulsion in our bedroom. Custard be gone.
I agree about white lies when clearing other peoples things. Things went in the bin that my Mum thinks went to the charity shop. She has no clue that charity shops are very choosy these days. and clients are not actually in desperate need. My Mothers idea of being poor is very different to the modern idea of being poor.
Feel better soon Wednesday.
I have a lot to do but little inclination to do it. Woken up with the start of a cold too.

I hope everyone is keeping well and hugs to everyone who needs them
I have been lurking over the last few weeks not sure why, but I have been working on some areas.
I've put some more bits in to the charity bag, might have a few more bits to go in.
I've uploaded some stuff on ebay after sorting out a couple of drawers on a cabinet, some went in to the recycling and they really do look better and can see what's in there.
Also listed some clothes on to vinted and have sold some bits with more to sort out, we have sold some of DS's big toys and he hasn't even noticed that it gone and it was a big item.
I have some washing out today not sure we're the sun has gone and the wind has gotten up since this morning.
I have kept on top of my emails so now they look better, and I've deleted some photos of my phone don't think I need 500 of ds sleeping when he was a baby 🤣.
Take care everyone

My day started okay - up before the alarm went off - I knew J was coming.
I have 3 bags of donations and a box in the porch - reminded my bestie about collecting on her way to the charity shop - she didn't
I finished emptying a narrow bookcase while I had breakfast.
J arrived and tidied up my front garden, back garden and 2 alleys - just odd weeds appearing, moss off the roof and holly leaves on the ground.
Then J and I moved furniture outside and he set to with his hammer - didn't take him long to demolish everything. After tidying up - J came in and helped me move my bed and mattress back into the bedroom. I will sleep in there tonight - bed is in the middle of the room as the headboard needs to be fixed on when it arrives. J had done all that in an hour and a half - he went back home.
I hoovered in the office and tidied up ready to make it into a storage room while he decorates my craft room.
I had put my name down to make a Victoria sandwich for tonight's refreshments at the Lent course. I was making it when I realised that I had no baking powder - thrown out when I cleaned and sorted in the kitchen so I popped to Asd.
I used 2 new sandwich tins - when the sponges were cooked and had sat for 5 minutes - I found the non stick tins - did! My sponges eventually came out of the tins in broken bits!
So I ate my meal and started to make white chocolate chip muffins. I will take along a bag of Lebkuchen Hearts as well. When I first used the new tub of baking powder - I couldn't get the lid off - when I did - it flew into the sink so I had to dry it. When I opened it for the muffins mix - the lid came off and baking powder shot over the worktop.
I had met someone on the way home from Asd. - who didn't know about Mr F - he had said - so you are on your own now - like me. So I was in a tearful state.
I gathered up the broken Victoria sandwich into bags for the freezer - will have with custard.
I haven't heard from my bestie since 6am - I phoned her daughter - sure something had happened in the family - but no. It makes me realise how much I am relying on my bestie and that made me cry.

We did a survey of charity shops in our town to make sure we gave them stuff they wanted. Anything not good enough for charity shops that is still usable goes on freecycle.
I prefer open garage type events rather than trying to give away individual items. We cleared my in laws six bedroom house with two open garages and one open house where everything was to go. We had about 40 people turn up and just empty the house. For larger items we gave people a post it note and a pen so they could bring their cars back. We had a van for the weekend and so could deliver larger items. We took the curtains down and gave them away. I guess they had been up for decades. Not my taste and we don’t need them. The next day when we were delivering the furniture we noticed they had already put the curtains up. Well no curtains verses some curtains. They had three children sharing one single mattress on the floor so we gave them a bed and two mattresses so the kids could have one each.
There are a lot of people in need around us and most things can be reused.

Evening all. Still snotty🤧
Decluttered way too much money yesterday paying our bills. Painful but has to be done.
Just the usual chores this morning, then had the dentist. Put whites and lights wash on quite late this afternoon so ready for me to deal with in the morning. Also put a very big leg of pork in the slow cooker for tomorrow and freezer.
Am thinking about getting a small chest freezer as there isn’t a lot of room in the upright fridge freezer - it’s one of those with a fridge on one side and freezer with shelves on the other. Only thinking just now though.DHs DNA results came back today, bit disappointing as doesn’t seem to be anything on his paternal grandfathers line which is what I was hoping for. Never mind though as people are doing tests all the time so it may crop up in the future.
Have a good evening all, sweet dreams xx

Good evening chums ,just had a lovely spag bol my DD made for dinner tonight, and I'm full to bursting I think :)
Yesterday at the U3A games afternoon we had a lady come in and she taught myself and my crib partner RummiKub which we really enjoyed as a bit of a change
Really nice to chat to, her and her OH volunteer to help to run the IoW Bus Museum in Ryde, we had a great chinwag on the bus back to Ryde then DD picked me up from the esplanade to save me waiting for the onward bus to Elmfield.
Today I started knitting the other side of the cushion cover for my eldest DD and want to get it done before we go to the mainland a week this Friday for our spring visit to Kent
DGD's birthday today so decluttered some cash to her so she can treat herself.
Tomorrow is stitch & b**tch morning in Ryde and I aleways enjoy that as we all like a good chinwag with our cuppas
Thursday I'm off to U3A monthly meeting and apparently the speaker s talk is 'How we are all doomed '
I'm hoping its about Dads Army :)
I managed to pick up a really nice jumper in Peacocks in Newport yesterday as its my eldest DDs ma-in-laws birthday next month so I'll wrap it and do her card then DD can give it to her next month. They had some lovely pastel spring stuff in there.
Postage is so unreliable, and I know if DDs got it ,Margaret will receive it safely, so another parcel to take with us when we go next week :)
The sun managed to shine slightly today, but its not been cold at all, we have some double headed daffs come out in the garden that we planted in the autumn and they are really lovely I think I may buy some more this autumn as they are so pretty.
The dogs are still not keen on going in the garden at the moment as the grass is still quite muddy but hopefully a few dry days and we will be able to get it mowed. The little westie doesn't like wet grass on his tummy He's only a short little chap but has an aversion to wet grass yet adores running into the sea down ay Appley Beach
The first pick up of the garden waste collection bin came this morning, and luckily our bin was about half full so the next collection won't be for another four weeks when it should be a bit fuller(with grass cuttings hopefully)
Right time to get a wriggle on as I want to get a bit more done on the cushion cover
Take care chums and stay safe
