I have had a busy day at home today.
First I had to empty the bedroom where carpet was being laid in the afternoon.
I phoned about my headboard - hopefully get it Friday.
It was nice enough to put washing outside but had to get it in when the mist came back.
The bedroom carpet was fitted - pleased with it. It took me nearly half an hour to hoover up tiny carpet/underlay bits on the stairs and in the hall/porch and of course in the bedroom.
When the men arrived - I was just moving a table from my craft room into the garage so the carpet fitter helped me.
My road is dreadful - carpet van had to park almost under the traffic lights.
I spent some time trying to order an industrial sewing machine - I don't want it delivered until April 7.
My middle son phoned on his way home from school - good job he mentioned grandson's birthday - I hadn't got it in my diary. Of course this year - I didn't transfer dates to my new diary on January 1. When I did transfer - obviously wasn't concentrating.
Middle daughter phoned on her way home from school. I am giving her first dibs on stuff I no longer want in my craft stash.
Left a message for J - bring your hammer - furniture to break up tomorrow.

Good advice thanks guys. Daisy the cat is going back to cat protection where she came from they told me they had recently rehomed a 19 year old cat. Typically she usually ignores me or hides (Im the one who puts her in her basket for the vet) and today she was very friendly and affectionate, she must miss the constant company she used to have, but hopefully that will mean I won't have to play hide and seek with her on Thursday. I'm sure there will be blood - mine! And she will complain all the 20 miles.
I spend a couple of hours in her flat today, spending time with the cat, catching up with her neighbour and hunting down paperwork for her lifetime mortgage so I could call them to find out what will need to be done (a frog ticked off). I found some more tins in her hall cupboard baked beans, tuna, tomatoes and butter beans which I dropped them off at the food bank on the way home.

Monday is a mainly overcast day with a forecast high of 15°C, light S breeze & a low of 7°C I have done nothing all day apart from knit & watch TV but have yet to watch any Paralympics. Dinner was oven baked pork steaks with the lo dauphinois potatoes fried for DH & DSis (I had mash) + cauliflower & broccoli. Wudupa.

It might be because over-the-counter 2 years you've paid a little bit off the capital so you now own more of your property. Combine that with your house value perhaps having gone up. Those two things might mean you have dropped into a new percentage. For example -
from needing a mortgage for 92% of your property value 2 years ago to now needing one for 89% of your property's current value. (You get better rates offered when in the 80 percents than in the 90 percents)
Generally you get access to lower interest rates each time you drop from 90% to 80%, 70% and then the lowest is 60% and under.
Could be something else they are meaning.
Just ask if theres anything you aren't sure of, no such thing as a stupid question so ask and ask and ask and double check and take several viewpoints. The better you understand mortgages, pensions, loans, savings etc the better position you'll put yourself into over the years

Be mindful that rates are creeping up & some fixes being withdrawn due to the Middle East situation. DS1 is about to move into a new home & his offer rate is valid until May thank goodness.

I didn't get to the bin shed yesterday, but have decluttered a costly agency cleaner & now have one working for herself (same hourly rate but no agency fee). It is a luxury but is paid for by my PIP.
I did manage to donate some surplus bathroom stuff, get my case emptied & put away, clean clothes put away and the cat's throw washed though. The big pile of Vinted stuff is still there awaiting action...
