I decided to sort the bathroom cupboard this afternoon, and swap some things with the landing cupboard. 2 bath sheets, hand towels & face cloths are awaiting washing before donation, 3 new face cloths are going too while quite a few IKEA storage things will be collapsed & stored for now. Cleaning stuff is all collated in there now, and the top of the landing cupboard freezer is now clear.
One black plastic shelf unit is out waiting to go in the bin shed alongside a taller one, once I've evicted a bike that's at the back... this week's project!

@_Dolly_Rocker_ lovely photos
Added 1 item to cs bag and decided heavy enough with crockery so dropped off at cs.
Did some tidying and paper decluttering.
Think decluttering will be on hold with furniture coming on Tuesday, buy at work then away for a bit - focus will.be on frogs.
Will keep following everyone's journey.

Lovely pictures Dolly
I've been putting off clearing my elderly friends flat until she confirms with the so social worker on Tuesday that she wouldn't be going home, at the moment when I ask about things she is dithering and we haven't got to the personal stuff. I'm giving her time to accept it and will then start moving out stuff from the kitchen and other non personal items first. I may have to either be blunt with her or lie after conversations which go 'I want the new still boxed toaster and kettle going to someone in your family' ornaments, jewellery etc I'll contact friends if that where she wants it to go but not 'ask the man who delivered my medication if he wants the dishwasher if you don't want it'! I have spent time there making lists and speaking to her neighbour who will help move heavy items and sadly the cat is going to Cats Protection on Thursday.
I did consider rehoming her towels which are good quality but aren't the colour I want, my bathroom is neutral so will take most colours, but yesterday I ordered some petrol colour towels half price in M&S once they're here and if I like them most of my sad specimens will go to the vet (yes they are that bad!) EFs towel I'll try to rehome on free FB page as they are too good for the vet.
I've ordered paint samples for my lounge/dining room and I hate my current walls so I'm looking at dark blue for some of it especially as the suite also needs replacing. It's going to be a spendy year as all the walls need skimming once the wall paper comes off the whole house as needed it.

@Brambling maybe say you're waiting until she knows where she's going & then will arrange donation of anything that you haven't rehoused. Then you can avoid those discussions and move things on.
Re: towels, are any good for dying? Dylon machine dye is fab.

Sunday continued: wrote another 7 birthday cards & made a list for the next 16 cards I need to buy. I spent the afternoon clearing more programmes from the planner & knitting. One more hat completed & another started. Watched Crufts Flyball & agility which I thoroughly enjoyed 😊 Dinner was an HF recipe - rump steak with Dauphinois potatoes & charred garlicky green beans. Wudupa. DSis & I watched the last episode of Call The Midwife 😢 I was in floods of tears.
