That is good new Suzeesu - hope things work out well for her. Sending you both lots of hugs.

What a relief for you and your mum, @suzeesu2000
That's a helpful reminder of what the BHF will accept, @Brie . There may be some minor differences locally, but many of those items make sense when you think about it.
@vulpix , your wish is my command …

@Yorkie1 fab front door and the hanging basket sets it off well.
@suzeesu2000 hugs and so glad you've found somewhere nice for your mum for the assessment and central. My mum resisted a home for ages, discharging herself from hospital but when she went to a home she settled well and my dad could visit and spend time with her and not be exhausted and then when he was in a home again we could spend time with him and not watch him struggle in his house.
Dd1 came round and she carried 2 big bags to the cs - one at 2 different ones and another bag of towels and bedding to the donation hub. Counting as 3 and added 2 cushions , bought for dd1 a few years ago but not really suited her or me so virtually unused, 2 make ups binned, 1 given to dd1 and another one she showed me how to use - to give me eyebrows again and apparently makes me look 10 years younger 😀
Dd1 moved furniture, bookcase to hall where the bigger one picked up was, and a tall shelf unit downstairs as it will go.
Gained aome lovely flowers from dd1 a few days early for my bday.
Wok binned, not good enough to give to anyone so decided I shouldn't use and have other pans I can use.
Identified other things dd1 may take when ahe moves and aome she doesn't. She questioned why I wa thinking of giving away nide egg cups and keeping the not so nice ones. She reminded me how much I kept things for best and saying we couldn't use x or y :( fortunately different now.
2 egg cups 252

@vulpix - I can't quite get the image of 'custard' coloured paint out of my mind. Love that front door @Yorkie1 and co-ordinated hanging basket.
Not done much today just some small frogs and went to quiz group. A few small frogs done. Hairdresser tomorrow.
271 A few small frogs
272-273 Pair of virtually unworn school shoes and a pair of walking boots in CS bag
Electrician can come next Tuesday to move plug so I can let plasterer know to do the work in bedroom and hall and fit new loft ladder.

Yorkie1 - love the door and the hanging basket tones so well with it.
I had a day at home today. My bestie says that I mustn't walk too much or I won't put on weight. I am weighing myself on Sunday morning.
I finished the awkward cupboard - I will have to revisit it as I may have kept stuff that I probably won't use.
Gas worker rang the bell to tell me they are doing the pipework to my house next Friday.
J came to put the bins up the drive - I now have 2 large bins, a food caddy, 4 full red bags and a large cardboard box outside my house.
I baked for the first time in ages - made me think of Mr F as he always scraped out the mixing bowl.
I made a jam sponge pudding to have with full fat milk custard.
Decluttered today - OOD food, Fixodent & box, plastic plate x 3, leaflet x 3, Denby bowl, storage box/lid, coffee jar/lid, saucer, large baking dish, postcards, photos, packaging, sweets, wipes, ice cream lid x 4, cardboard, paper packaging, flyers.

I haven’t posted for a while, as usual February has been a write off health wise but I’ve still managed my one work shift a week and the children have been mainly fed things that are on the meal plan and aren’t freezer beige and I’ve only had to admit defeat once and order a takeaway.
The downstairs toilet was re-done and whilst it still needs decorating, it is so much better and not leaking under the stairs anymore which is a massive plus.
We had a new stairs and landing carpet fitted last week, so we now have dark grey instead of cream which is much more appropriate for the children and the cat, hopefully I can stop buying as many bottles of carpet cleaner now as the dark colour should be a whole lot more forgiving.
We are having problems with a tomcat who is terrorising Cookie so she can’t go out and we can’t have the cat flap open as he came in the house and wee’d all over the place. He needs to be sorted out before we get the carpet replaced in the front room, as I can’t manage a new carpet that smells of boy cat wee, so I’ve contacted a rescue who are going to see if they can trap him and then sort his bits out!
DD got her first choice of secondary school, so all the practical and emotional chaos of moving has been worth it, she is pleased, although a bit sad she has no friends moving schools with her, I just feel like I can breathe a bit!
I’ve decluttered a bit and have managed to get 1 bag to fabric recycling, 1 to the charity shop, a cat litter tray that hadn’t been used much to the cat rescue charity and 3 bags to the local freebies site.
My new total is 58.5/208
My cousin and I had another day and an evening at my Dad’s, sorting through more clothes and accessories, some of the kitchen and some of the airing cupboard. 1 bag to fabric recycling, 2 bags came home with me, 1 bag went home with my cousin, 10 bags to the charity shop, 7 bags to the local cat rescue and 11.5 bags to the local freebies site.
My Dad’s new total is 82.5/104
Love to everyone xxx

They may have a day before the summer where they invite the next year 7's in and they get a chance to meet others..i remember my children and friends really looking forward to new people and making new friends.

Thursday is a brighter & sunnier day than yesterday with a forecast high of 17°C, a light SSE wind & a low of 5°C Good news - the recycling wheelie bin was emptied today 🥳 I finished my laundry today 2 x LDFPA & did manage some partial drying on the whirligig 🙂 Watched a bit of Crufts including the Flyball. Wrote a shopping list for DH & DSis who went shopping. DH got petrol - 2p per litre more expensive than last week ☹️ Shopping put away. Dinner was burgers, chips & baked beans. Wudupa. Paid the milkman.432 - 435 Kitchen recycling, drinks cans, glass jar, glass bottle - recycled
436 - 437 Kitchen detritus, several broken pegs - binned
Liverpool_Anne, what a nuisance that you are having trouble posting 😖 I am still writing in Notes first but since the change in quoting I have one note for mantras & one note for recording awards/numbers & 1p challenge + the body which I can bring together to create my post 😉
Good luck with the “awkward cupboard” Florenceem 🍀 Lovely picture 😊
vulpix, yippee to MrV finding so many useful items 🥳 + excellent work decluttering more ‘stuff’ to the Tip 👏 Sorry to hear that you are “feeling a bit overwhelmed by the state of the house” 😔 However, I know that it won’t take you long to tidy up once all the current decorating is completed ☺️
Brie, sounds like your OH needs a bit more training 🙊 Loved your comment about waking your OH at 5 a.m. to move the recycling bin 😂 Great work in the garden 👏
Excellent decluttering Florenceem 👏 Pleased to hear that you are remembering to eat 😊 I am in full agreement that fancy chocolate concoctions are rarely better than G or C 😉
Thanks for the article Brie 👏
suzeesu2000 good news about your Mum 🥹 Please accept some gentle cwtches for both you & your Mum 🤗
Yorkie1 what a beautiful front door & I agree with TC77 that the hanging basket is a lovely addition ☺️

Suzeesu, what a relief about your Mum. My Mum is similar, deaf and partially sighted and stayed in an assessment home after coming out of hospital. It was a very positive experience for her. They fed her up and got her back on her legs a bit which improved her confidence no end.
Yorkie, what a stunner. I have never seen a period door with glass in the bottom like that, I love it.Such a jolly colour too.
TC, Happy Birthday duckie.xx Good thinking by your daughter. Use the best egg cups, you deserve it!
That's an interesting article Brie. TBH, I have never thought of some of the things they refuse.
Granny Kate, whilst custard walls are not objectionable, I am not sure they will be staying. I would prefer either lighter or darker. Hmm, have I got time to get more paint and get it on the walls before Tuesday. Probably not! I will see what it is like with the carpet and furniture back in before I decide. TBH, I think we all know I have already decided!
Sticky, You have done masses. You should be very proud of yourself. Tom cat wee, I can smell it now! The memory of it never leaves you.🤣
Well today in memory of my Auntie Eileen I intend to "knock spots off". Unbeknown to Mr V it involves him. Hahaha. Some tidying up and then moving about of furniture. Possibly a tidy of garden pots later. Rhubarb not doing too well as Fluffy likes to sleep on it!

J has been and gone - painted the inside of the kitchen door so all 3 rooms he decorated are finished.
A refuse truck has been and emptied the food waste caddy and blue bin so a start on the stuff by my gate.
While J was painting and I couldn't get in the kitchen - I emptied a box from Mil's flat.
I plan to make a pot of tea and empty out and clean the last cupboard in the kitchen. Then go out.
