@TC77 I absolutely detest paper filing! 😂 I have set up electronic filing in jobs since 2006, and only ever kept legal or statutory stuff on paper.
I do have paper stuff at home, but my house purchase, financial advice and even my divorce were all done electronically.

Hi, I joined Mrs SD on the night shift. Woke at 3:30 and did knitting whilst watching telly. Very tired now.
Much tidying up and little jobs completed yesterday. Most decorating stuff taken down and put in the kitchen. Bits of furniture moved about. A butler's tray and a bed side cupboard now in the car with a big bag of throws, duvet covers n stuff. A cat door stop too. Mr V will drop them off at the charity shop this morning.
Dining room tidied. Mostly the stuff for the chazzer into a big bag. A walker with seat given away on thrift. Even when folded it is too bulky for our car boot. It looks better in the dining room as the green house in a box fit into the tidied shed. The sewing machine is still on the table. The curtains over the back of a chair, all pined ready to go. Maybe tomorrow when Mr V is at work.
We are going out to buy more emulsion paint later. The custard has to go. At least it covered the grey. The scrambled egg walls sound great! I am also buying a little arts and crafts table with money my Mum has given me for my upcoming birthday. Just a slim little thing to fit up the side of the bigger sofa.
The kitchen remains messy. The stuff from the shed and lots of part tins of paint to tidy away. Plenty of room to do it in this kitchen, I have empty cupboards it can go in. I will try to give some away that I no longer need. 1/2 tin of custard emulsion anyone?

Morning everyone
There are some great images of lovely furniture, front doors and fluffy pets to enjoy on here!
I have just spent 20 minutes deleting emails (still have an embarrasingly high number left but it's a start); I've also dropped off a big bag of soft plastics and done some shredding.
love to all

Hi all, reasonable couple of days here. Bag of garden waste into the green bin while the rain held off, knitting finished so 100g gone from stash, I will post a pic later, 600 emails deleted, 2 sessions of ironing done, frog sorted, stuff from on top of the kitchen cupboards sorted, some old place mats binned and the kitchen bin emptied.
@vulpix love the photo of fluffy 😁
@TC77 I feel your pain re the emails. I also have digital files for lots of emails, far too many really and I am sure many of those need culling but at least they are not a pile of paper cluttering up the place 😂
Meant to say in my last post re putting rubbish in neighbours bins, ln and I share a garden waste bin and split the cost as ln would never fill it. I probably could sometimes but not every 2 weeks. Maybe if neighbours are using your paid for bin but not paying for their own you could ask for a contribution for the charge. As for the other bits I have a standing agreement with ln that any time either of us needs to we can use the others bins. I rarely have more than half a bin full in the normal rubbish though the recycling bin is usually fuller. On that note our council will be taking yoghurt pots and plastic trays, foil etc and a whole range of other things currently not allowed in the recycling bin from next month which will save me a trip to the tip with bags of stuff so I expect it to be filled 😁.
Well I am on my way out to a makers market at a local church. I have never been to this one so I thought I'd give it a look 😁. Not planning to buy anything but I do always find these things tempting 😂
Hugs to everyone who would like one
Just adding 14 to numbers
Take care everyone

Enjoy the market @Liverpool_Anne
It's never too early to plan ahead for birthday and Christmas presents (we have such a fair locally at the end of November!).

YoungBlueEyes - well spotted about JackieO - hopefully she is just so busy enjoying life on her much loved island.
I have clambered up on the sink to clean the kitchen windows this morning ready for the blind to be fitted. I am tempted to give the blinds man a date for fitting the vertical ones in my craft room.
Finished cleaning the cooker front - got the hob to do.
I don't need shopping today so may have a day indoors.
I still need to unbox and try out the steam cleaner that is lurking in my craft room.
Hope everyone is having a lovely day.

Decluttered a bag of last years rhubarb from the freezer and turned it into a crumble. Also finished off a bag of oats to make the topping.
The inside glass of the half oven / grill is currently soaking. I’ve given in and booked the oven cleaning man for on Wednesday but, for the sake of my blushes, I feel the need to give its bit of a freshen up. I know it sounds bonkers.
One box finally found to house the latest round of Ziffit so that will be off to the collection point this weekend along the bag of rags and batteries.✒️ Declutter 2026 🏅

Hello everybody
I haven't posted since January as life has been a bit nuts so this is a long post.
My bad eye had been playing up late last year but as I was due a follow up eye appt at the hosp mid December I decided to wait for that.
Nothing heard by New Year but annual optician eye test on Tuesday 6 January. Optician most concerned and repeatedly urged me to chase follow up appt. Rang hospital and got appt for that Friday. City hospital is 4 hour round trip by public transport.
At hospital was seen by Dr no.1 who suggested I had uveitis (inflammation) and prescribed steroid eyedrops and said he wanted me to be seen again in 1 month and 3 months.
3 weeks later I had heard nothing about the 1 month appt and so began the ringing/emailing of the hospital. The number for the Eye Clinic didn't even ring, it would just cut out. After almost 6 weeks of leaving messages on other numbers and also emailing I went to my Dr's surgery to see if they could help as I was due to fly to Australia in 10 days. They suggested I speak to my Optician as they had referred me.
Optician said contact the Eye Clinic (ha ha) or go to A&E.
Next day I went to A&E and saw the kindest, most helpful Dr who booked me in to the Eye Clinic for the next day. This is when I saw Dr no.2 who was very shocked to find the first Dr had not taken any notes of my previous appointment! So we had to start all over again.
I ended up having 4 Emergency Eye appts in 9 days and all the Drs were amazing. I decluttered almost £90 on public transport but last Saturday was told my eye had healed, to keep doing all the eyedrops and ointments, and they gave me the all clear to fly on Monday. Yippee!
I was all set for travelling to Heathrow for an overnight stay on Sunday but was changing planes at Dubai and my flight kept changing from "Scheduled" to "Cancelled". In the end I decided to go as I would be too far away to get to the airport from home on time on Monday.
A few hours after I arrived at Heathrow the travel company messaged me to say they had cancelled my holiday. So no koalas for me🙁
I keep reminding myself there are plenty of people worse off than me. I picked up my glasses to type this post and the arm of my glasses came off in my hand. I've only had them 5 weeks.
So…..I am off to the tlc for a long rest and catch up on all the posts. I will post decluttering numbers another time.🙂
Keep going everybody

Bluej always good to get a good deed ticked off nice n early in the day 😆
Youngblueeyes, feel free to remain de-lurked 😆
Regnbue lovely to see you back, been an eventful time for you but glad ur better even though ur missing out on koala cuddles
I was also on night shift last night folks Sleepy on the couch at half 9 barely keeping eyes open, in bed at 10 and gradually wakened up. Eyes tired but inner body was awake and ready to party, I finally put the light out at half 2 then slept till 10 like a teenager 😴 😅. Now my eyes are closing again but im fighting a nap, I generally don't sleep in the day unless unwell so don't want to start a habit that might see me up all night and asleep half the day. I'm a natural night owl but (due to my pisces duality of everything) I also prefer to be up fairly early in the morning 😆
