@vulpix , the idea of custard walls, I imagine slightly more subtle than my scrambled egg walls in a flat years ago. They were also woodchip paper so the texture of scrambled eggs too!

Dd1 did query some hand towels which I said leave but this morning decided one from a pile can go and I'm sure they are part of a set. In office today but last night made a long list to try and start tackling over the weekend.

Lots of paper recycling and shredding done. Cathartic in itself.

I need to buy myself a proper book to write all of my recipes in, so many on scraps of paper. I need to put them in some sort of order for them to be passed on, don't I?

Afternoon all! I finished work at 2.20 and was home by 2.55! Traffic wasn't bad, im very tired though I hate getting up at 4.30ish to be in work for 6! But i need to motivate myself to list things on vinted and ebay now..

Although I havent listed anything ive been in the garden, I chucked some seeds into my garden bed and im hoping for the best 😂 ive also sorted through the storage box that is full of crap and spiders 🕷 yuuuck! Tomorrow i will get more soil and some soil sacks as i have a lot of dead plants etc

I don't want to rain on your parade because it's great that they are looking to move your mom so quickly. But I don't think she'll actually be getting "nursing" care. As I understand that it's something for people who need to be looked after by actual nurses - the people who can give injections, take blood, deal with those sorts of things. Residential care (which can be excellent btw) will ensure she's sitting up, washed, moving about as much as possible, eating and all those non medical things. It can include some physio as well and it was that that got MiL up and moving and enjoying life again after a time in hospital.

Argh , just accidentally deleted nearly 1300 emails and couldn't cancel. They are in my trash but inckude flight tickets, accommodation and legal so need to go through carefully. Really do need to set up folders and have some system to deal with them as they come in!

My recycling was collected so very pleased about that. The full rubbish bin is still sitting there. My neighbour called here - the men broke the lid of her bin weeks ago and said lid disappeared so her rubbish is getting wet. I missed 2 buses when I was out and got caught in the rain. Came home and had some warming custard and hm jam sponge pudding.

Given my kitchen sink a deep clean and started on the cooker it is a large range so ran out of steam after doing half of the front. I did have a little go at the cooker top. I will make the cooker tomorrow's job.

Going to eat and then tackle the last bag from Mil's flat.

try putting them in sender name order. that might make it easier to move things a group at a time. I use that when I'm deleting stuff as I know there are some senders' mail that is one off look stuff.

Oh no to the unintentional decluttering @TC77 !!

The first garden waste collection of the year happened today - I have a nice empty bin ready for the next lot of garden stuff, yippee!

thanks. I was aware and I appreciate your message😁. They have care staff with a qualified nurse on site. Sadly mum is now totally immobile and requires feeding too bless her heart. Still a lot for me to do behind the scenes but, for now, she is safe and comfortable and in a better environment than a hospital ward.
