Another busy day for Fluffy.

What a content cat! Mum has always said that she "wanted to come back as a middle-class moggy with servants"! 🐈️

@TC77 My personal email account is a victim of my career as an EA/PA... I have folders for things like Health, Bookings, Money, Family etc, some of which then have sub folders within them. If you set up 2 or 3 folders to keep important stuff in, you can then build on that to "file" things as they come in.
Sorry if that's teaching grandma to suck eggs, but sometimes seeing how others do things can inspire!

@vulpix - love the picture of Fluffy. Setting a good example for us all- taking a good nap.

Fluffy knows how to relax.
I was thinking what to plan for dinner tomorrow. I thought of a chicken curry but can't find the curry sauce that I know is in the garage somewhere. So as I want to eat out of my large food stash/mountain - I will make some shortcrust pastry and use some tinned stewed steak. I can use some frozen mixed veg to bulk it out and I have some shallots that need to be used plus of course - garlic will join the ingredients.
When I sorting in the last bag from Mil's flat - found a gas book from the 1950s!
Decluttered today - jam jar & lid, photos, postcards, cotton bud, wipes, kitchen towel, gas book and wipes tub & lid.

@Yorkie1 @brie and @floss thank you for advice and sympathy for unplanned decluttering. I try and do the group deleting but often one or 2 to keep.
I do need to use folders and realise I had lots but outdated titles and many empty. Deleted 10 folders and 400 unread emails and about 500 read ones. Last year I saw about 2500 emails in my inbox which seemed no too bad but then realised these were the unread ones! So now 1700 unread and 6500 emails. I do have another email.address :(
Had hoped for this to be an autumn exercise. Awaiting to hear when I finish work , think end of April so will have lots of time for decluttering but will need to structure my days.
@Floss my friend who sounds as if she has a similar career can always find things. I have a fab memory at work remembering details of things a couple of years ago but can't remember what book I'm reading or the film I saw. I'm good at paper filing.

@TC77 , you are absolutely right. DD has a friendship afternoon, a disco and a day at her new school before September. She might not be brave enough to go to the disco on her own but she’s looking forward to the rest!
@Mrs_Salad_Dodger thank you for my Dad ’s stars, he isn’t taking an active role in sorting stuff out but the stars will cheer him up! Tomcat has made another appearance on our local Facebook page as he got into someone else’s house too, it isn’t his fault, he’s been failed by his human, so fingers crossed it is sorted soon as I think he is quite a sweet boy. Cookie is still very cross about it all though!
Thank you @vulpix and isn’t Fluffy fabulous!

Good deed done for the day, helped someone who was absolutely hammered and stood on the side of a busy dual carriageway, waited until police got there.. what a fun way to start a Saturday

Friday is a wet miserable day 😞 it has rained on & off all day with a high of 11°C, low of 9°C & feeling a couple of degrees colder due to a North wind. DSis is the only one in the house who did anything today - she emptied her room of recycling & general rubbish. Dinner was quiche & boiled new potatoes for DSis; sea bass, boiled new potatoes & peas for DH & me. Wudupa
438 - 443 Kitchen recycling, drinks cans, magazine, 0.5” paper, cardboard box, newspaper - recycled
444 - 445 Kitchen & DSis bedroom detritus - binned
