Started the day positively, which I always finds helps with the decluttering.
All house bins emptied into recycling bins or general waste, dishwasher on, washing will be done after DD and I return from her club. All wasing from the mini break and DD's uniform have been put away. That is a job I hate. I have even sorted out her PE kit ready for Monday.
Some items of clothes disposed of. I do need to go through mine and DD's wardrobe in the next few weeks. That usually results in a couple of bin bags full. She has grown a few inches and is as tall as me now. Her pants aren't long enough so will be donated. X

- Daily To Do List - written the night before
- Sort out sleep patterns - initial targets: bed by 03:00, up by 10:30
- Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc.
- Commence ‘Operation Financial Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
- Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
- Plan & Execute ONE Major Project - 2026 New Bathroom
- Target 2026 items out
Saturday is currently dry with a forecast high of 14°C (feeling 6° colder due to a WSW wind) & a low of 9°C. The plan for today is for me to have a bath, pack an overnight bag for DH & me & head off at about 14:30 as it is the Round Britain Rally Awards Dinner tonight.
Still no sign of the recycling chaps 😖
Moorviews, so sorry to hear that you lost a relative to carbon monoxide poisoning 🥺 As to the decluttering of the china it sounds like you need a plan to persuade MrMV that less is more 😞 Perhaps you can keep one set each & alternate use by week or month, no saving for best 😉 I will also keep my fingers crossed that you get a couple of dry days so that you can sort the garden out 🤞 Well done on decluttering some craft supplies 👏
GrannyKate, fingers crossed that you can deal with the last of the issues with the switch of bank 🤞 Excellent decluttering 👏 Hopefully you can coordinate the electrician & plasterer & the work can be done in the not too distant future 🙏
dND, you are very welcome 😊 More excellent decluttering 👏 A pity that you are waiting on other people to be able to dispose of the frog you started 😔 Hopefully you will get some movement early next week 🤞
Willowtree222, an excellent start to your day 👏 Good luck with the planned clothes decluttering 🍀
I wish you all a great weekend & I will post again tonight 👋

2 fleeces into the charity shop bag. Will look around for what else can go. Also decided to clear out the pasta drawer. We've lots of 1/4 bags left with BBDs of a couple of years back so I think I'll get rid. If we haven't used it by now it's unlikely we'll use it soon, particularly as I've gone off pasta a bit in any case.

I seem to have found a cold :-( I have also changed my challenge. 26 minutes per day averaged has been a struggle with being away with work so much. Although no more trips for a while, I feel I'm behind all the time which isn't good for motivation. So I've focussed on the year being 2026 so I will aim at 20 * 26 minutes per month. Which means January challenge complete; February 12 / 20, which makes getting 20 by end of February a challenge but a good challenge. Still no sign of mousey yay.

Hope you feel better soon @DundeeDoll . It makes sense to readjust aims to reflect reality. This is, after all, an encouraging place and not a drudge place 😊

I didn't get up very early - laid in bed trying to plan how to move forward in the house decorating.
Lampshade was collected by a Freegler.
I ordered a garden storage box in an effort to move stuff out of the garage so making room for items from my craft room. I asked daughter to collect it.
I went out - fed birds on way into town and got some cash and strong green garden sacks - much stronger than black ones.
I took a sack of stuff to the charity shop - first time I had seen the girl who gushed about Mr F - she was very good to me today.
Got my local paper and went to choose the blinds for my bedroom - not a lot of choice in greens but I decided on what I call a funky design. I also chose the design for the vertical blinds in my craft room.
I went to the garden centre to get a another tea pot - the new one I bought - dribbles!
I got a bus to Lid. they still had a free cake - got it for granddaughter as I am not keen on blueberry muffins. I had bought myself a cake in the bakers in town
Lastly - I bought more paint.
My daughter came here with the garden storage crate and J popped round to put it together. I have already moved stuff from the garage into it.
When I was on the bus there was a young blind chap - there were detours and I thought he was getting anxious. I asked him where he wanted to go and we talked all the way to his stop. He lives alone so probably doesn't get much chance for conversation. He showed me on his phone - paintings he had done at his blind group.
I took a bag of fabric recycling round to SA and met a friend there - no officers around.
I am busy sorting paperwork from the filing cabinets in the garage - more than 30 years old.
