Monday has started dry although overcast. The forecast is for a high of 12°C (feeling 6° colder due to a WSW wind) & a low of 8°C with a chance of rain at 16:00. DH is driving DSis to a medical appointment which is being held in a church of all places. No parking so DH will drive around & wait for her to call when the appointment is over. DH had investigated getting there by public transport but there is no direct route & would have taken almost 2 hours, provided the buses turned up on time 😰 I still have the Olympic closing ceremony to watch but then no excuse not to start tackling various jobs from my To Do list 😞 although having said that I am almost certain I will find something else to distract me 🙊 First things first is to catch up with the cheerleading:
London_1, lovely post 🥹 & thank you for sharing the happy events & lives of your family 🥹 Congratulations to DGD Holly 🥳 An August 2027 wedding means you have plenty of time to plan 😉 Reminds me that we have an initial wedding invitation for one of DH’s great nephews………… wait for it………….. in May 2028 in Cyprus 😊 Rather looking forward to it as we have never been to Cyprus. Pleased to hear that your two DGS enjoyed their short visit & that Jack managed to finish the Killer jigsaw 🥳 Good luck to Mikey for his dissertation 🍀 Such a lovely thing for your Knit & Natter group to do - flowers 💐 to all of you 🥹
Muddy_Walker, sorry to hear that you are unwell 😔 Hopefully the shower, some rest & doggy cuddles will help you feel better 🤞
surprisinglynice, as far as I am concerned, self care counts as decluttering ☺️ If you don’t feel quite right in yourself then the last thing you will do or want to do is physical decluttering 😉 Hope you enjoyed your roast dinner 😊
florianatwobob, funny you should mention phone charging cables, we are having the same problem as 2 more of ours have recently bitten the dust 🤔 Good luck tackling the little jobs on your To Do list including the additional recycling 🍀
Excellent decluttering crazybeautiful 👏
Florenceem, such a lovely thing to do & I imagine your uncle loved having your company 🥹 As to both you & MrF chatting to people you didn’t know, I think if more people did that, the world would be a far nicer place 🥹 Good luck clearing space in the garage for your crafting stuff 🍀 I am in agreement with oceandreamer & hope that you are able to make the officers at the SA house understand how let down you are by their lack of pastoral care 🥺 Sending gentle cwtches 🤗 Excellent decluttering 👏
Excellent decluttering ilovetea 👏 & well done not bringing anything else in 😊
oceandreamer, well said ☺️ Sorry to hear that the plastering is not going to plan 😔 I will keep everything crossed that you can find a way to replenish your funds 🤞
Great work TC77 👏
vulpix, you certainly have a busy time planned 🤩 Good luck with “Operation Visitor Ready” 🍀
Hope everyone has as good a day as possible 😊 See you later 👋

I had a disastrous Soundbath at the weekend. It was a floating one on a swimming pool and I felt so ill and seasick that I had to get out.🤑 I'm only feeling better today.
Right, I have to go through my wardrobe today as I keep putting it off!

I've had a pack of 4 calligraphy pens in, but managed to finally declutter the art supplies I put on the WhatsApp group.
It's been really nice reading the posts and what people have been doing and have managed to declutter.
Sorry to hear about illness and difficulties though. I hope things improve soon.

Not much active decluttering but quite a few things sorted.
Checked with my old invigilating job that the small amounts of money i have been getting monthly are correct. It was only about £70 in total but i was worried it was a mistake. They said it was over paid tax and holiday pay so that is good.
Finally managed to find a heating engineer for my sons buy to let. Our normal one has stopped trading and the first people recommended have not returned any of my messages or calls. Third time lucky on the recommendation of our bathroom fitter.
Painted the second lot of picture rails for the hall and open plan area. They are 3 metre lengths so difficult to find a space. Moved my step sons plants and tvs to one side of the dining table and squeezed the picture rails on the other side. I accidentally bought oil based gloss instead of water based so they are taking a couple of days to dry each coat.
Our mushroom vent on our campervan has been leaking for ages. It’s got ridiculous so i ordered a new one. Of course it doesn’t fit in the same way so i bodged it. Let’s hope it works because I am tired of the leak. It’s currently raining so I have covered the new one with a bucket while the silicone sets. My husband asked why I had left the ladder out. I said we might need it to get the bucket off before we drive it tomorrow. I cleaned the campervan at the same time because we are going away in a couple of weeks.
I noticed the kitchen gully pot was full to the top with gunk and leaves. Yuck. I dug it out and chucked a bucket full in a bag in the black bin. We normally notice at Easter so I am early getting it sorted.

I walked to Ald. to dispose of soft plastics. Then I put knives in the nearby knife bin.
I walked to the surgery - screen said that my Dr was on time - she wasn't when I was waiting to go in to see her. She was very kind to me - asked if I had thought of bereavement counselling.
Dr is not happy with my blood tests or weight loss - been given a prescription for iron tablets. I had forgotten what strength vitamin D I had to get so she told me. I was weighed and had blood pressure checked. I was told to forget about cholesterol and get full fat milk. Told to eat liver and spinach.
I went to the blind shop to pay more money. I took a photo of the fabric I have chosen so I can look at curtains and bedding.
I got my vitamin D at Boo..The butchers in town is closed on a Monday.
So I got a bus to Li.. - got my free apple turnover but they didn't have any liver.
I walked across to Mr T and got some.
As I was near Wick.. - I got some more paint.
I have done 10,500 steps so far today.
I had a surprise visit from my bestie - she came with a bag of food for me. I hadn't told her about the Dr saying I needed to eat more.
I came home forgetting to get my iron tablets so walked round to As..
I tidied a bit more in the garage and put some bits in the garden crate.
Granddaughter A came to collect stuff for her mum. A dashed in to see the painted rooms.

I was sorting bags of stuff from the bedroom - taken out of Mr F's night table. I couldn't do it - put it aside for when I can cope with it. It was his personal bits - keys and wallet.
I cooked one of the meals bought for me - I ate half but I can't taste food. I will put the leftovers in the fridge for tomorrow. I just keep crying.
I haven't collected Mr F's ashes yet.

@Florenceem - I put late DHs wallet, glasses etc in a small box which I left in his bedside drawer for several years. some years later DS2 lost his wallet and I gave him his dad's one out of the box - it seemed the right time to do it. Not done much today but spent money. I got one of those key safe locks to put outside. There is a rusted up one out there already but I don't know the code. I also bought some grow bags, seed compost and a few more plants then some food shopping. The seed compost split before I got to till and young lad came and stuck it up - they were going to swap it but cashier asked if I'd like it for half price - barely a handful had fallen out so I took it. Otherwise I've really done very little. I got a paint pot to try in hall but it is much too light.
231 Two more bags of wallpaper binned
232 Plants put out in some pots. Gradually working down the row of pots beside my front path
Just a hair appointment tomorrow so I'll try and get on with those frogs croaking on desk
