Sunday, both of us slept very badly -really uncomfortable bed & the room was warm even though the radiator was off & we had a window open 😞 I finally resorted to sleeping the wrong way round with my head at the foot of the bed & managed almost 90 minutes undisturbed 😰 Both of us felt washed out but revived a little after a full English breakfast & several small cups of coffee (09:15 to 09:50) 🙂 We went back to our room & did the last of our packing. Went down to reception paid our bill & booked our room for next year. DH got the car whilst I had a cigarette then we loaded the car & set off at 10:20. A good run, the motorways were not too busy. It rained for about 20 minutes but we were indoors by 12:40. I put the kettle on as soon as we got in. I updated my accounts & have unpacked our overnight bag. I have spent the afternoon fast forwarding through the recorded Olympics programmes - just watching the events that interested me 😉 Now time to catch up with the cheerleading:
Brie, perhaps you could use the pasta in hm soups 🤔
Excellent decluttering Ms_Potato_Head 👏 Hopefully you can find enough clothes to get your figures from negative to positive 🤞
Excellent decluttering greent 👏 Very impressed with how well you are doing with unsubscribing 👏
Excellent decluttering QueenJess 👏
DundeeDoll, sorry to hear about the cold 😔 but hopefully you can lose it as quickly as you found it 🤞 I have amended your targets & agree with Yorkie1 who put it very well “It makes sense to readjust aims to reflect reality. This is, after all, an encouraging place ad not a drudge place 😊”
Well said Yorkie1 👏
Florenceem, another very busy day & you got such a lot done 👏 As for This “When I was on the bus there was a young blind chap - there were detours and I thought he was getting anxious. I asked him where he wanted to go and we talked all the way to his stop. He lives alone so he probably doesn’t get much chance for conversation. He showed me on his phone - paintings he had done at his blind group.” what a truly kind thing to do 🥹 Please accept some flowers 💐 Good luck sorting out the paperwork in the garage filing cabinets🍀 Excellent decluttering 👏
Great decluttering GrannyKate 👏 Good luck dealing with frogs 🍀
Excellent digital decluttering Mrs_Money_Penny 👏 I will be awarding you a gold star for each 1,000, so two Gold Stars ⭐️ ⭐️ are on their way 😊
I have almost caught up with the cheerleading but am flagging so will post & come back later. Weather forecast for here was a high of 13°C (feeling 5° colder due to a WSW wind) & a low of 8°C. See you later 👋

I seem to be seeing off phone charging cables like nobody’s business….another one bit the dust and was deposited at Waitrose for recycling on Saturday and some rags to textile recycling.Since Saturday I now have a lightbulb that needs recycling. The ironing board cover has worn through, a miracle considering my general dislike of that chore. The washing whirly cover has torn and the batteries in the remote have died.
Guess who now has more recycling to dispose of…… Why couldn’t they have done that before Saturday?????
I’ve got the coming week off so plan to tackle some of the little jobs that have been on the to do list.✒️ Declutter 2026 🏅

Mrs SD - I had a blind uncle so have always interacted with non sighted folk. I went on my way home from school to play dominoes with my uncle in the prefab.
My children used to question why I chatted with people I didn't know. Mr F was a great one for meeting people and talking with them - he was a very good listener as well as a talker.
My bestie said she would be picking me up at 9.45 - she arrived at 9.15 - I had showered and done my chores. Bestie loved all the paint colours - she is a very quirky personality so the colours were her thing.
Bestie was preaching today - great service. I am going to the Lent group on Tuesday evening with her. We are not giving up something for Lent but taking up something.
Came home and had my meal then cracked on with sorting the garage. I put some more bits out in the crate - had a struggle with the combination padlock but got there.
I am aiming to totally clear one side of the garage so I can move stuff from my craft room into there.
I have a Doctor's appointment tomorrow morning and then I have to go to pay a huge amount of money in the blinds shop.
I have decided no decorating this week. I have so much to sort through that moving stuff out of a room for painting is not going to happen.
I have the builder here on Tuesday to finish the wardrobe doors in my bedroom and fit the ones in the old office.
I may ask J to come round on Tuesday to take apart the furniture that is on the drive.
I have agreed to a meeting with the officers. Again they suggested meeting at mine or the SA house - I am going there. I will not be bullied.
I felt very lonely this afternoon.

@Florenceem so sorry you were feeling low this afternoon, hoping you are feeling a little better now. I hope that you get chance to say what you want when you meet the officers, will you be able to take someone with you? You are certainly keeping busy, which I hope is helping you. I love your potted shrimp paint!
As usual in my house, the plastering turned out to be a 'big job'. After two days I have no ceiling but I do have some new joists to replace the ones that were rotten and in danger of disintegrating completely. The job is taking twice as long and costing twice as much as I originally thought, but there was no choice so I've put my big girl pants on and will have to try and recoup the extra money from somewhere. No decluttering (except a ceiling) as I have been out for most of the weekend keeping out of their way.
