@dND and @Willowtree222 there are many things I know I procrastinate about!
At my dad's and have builder to ensure all in its quote about 8 the then at end of day and working in between. Checking boxes ok for when come with furniture at the end of the day. I may include a mattress as woke up.early again but more comfy than my new one at home which is still on trial.
Waiting for the heating to kick in.
Scary warning on the co2. I didn't have a monitor and sold one by heating engineer then found I couldn't change the batteries. Now have one I can.
Sold 10 cassettes ( they're making a comeback apparently) and packed and boxed and also posted jug so total to add 14.
Frogs again taking priority this weekend.
@weenancyinAmerica well done on clearing space. Look forward to hearing you get the bookshelves in soon.

I was in a shop in Wales and saw hundreds of cassettes for sale and wondered if anybody still used them! My question is now answered

Mr V has a friend who married a Filipino woman and lives there. Her teenage son is mad for cassette tapes.
A quiet Saturday coming up for me, thank goodness. I will be home alone for most of it as Mr V is working away. My intention is to finish the alteration of the sitting room curtains and get them up on the track which was fitted yesterday.
The only thing left to do in the front bedroom is to paint the radiator with paint mixed to match the walls.
3 and 3/4 jumpers knitted. I will run out of wool for the 5th jumper. undecided to try to get some whilst I go to the bank. Baby not born yet so not urgent.
Gotta get to the bank. Takes the whole morning as the road is closed. It's been closed about a year. It fell off the side of the hill. It's been a very big job to rebuild and ensure it doesn't fall again.
Sterling work wee nancy.
Gotta go. Need to be back in time for sofa delivery.

Hi all
a propos the CO monitor discussion, I have just seen that 2 young people have been found deceased at a caravan park and they suspect CO poisoning. Such a shame ( and a disgrace0 when a relatively cheap device could have saved their lives. Sorry - had to get it off my chest!! A salutary lesson though.

Morning all.
I had a crying time yesterday - walking along the road - at least it was dark.
I am so not impressed with C - left off last Sunday's news sheet - does he really think that I don't need prayers - it is only 6 weeks after I lost my Mr F.
Dry here at the moment - builder not here yet - he needs to work in the garden to get doors to correct size - rain is forecast for later.
I have finished cleaning and tidying one side of the garage.
Chap has been to measure up for laminate - now I await the quote with bated breath. He said best if I get the skirting boards off and old laminate up as they would charge to do it. Another job for my J. I would rather he earned the money. They would take away the old laminate if I kept it dry. I said someone will take it to the tip for me.
Next thing is C arriving to load up for the tip.
I also have two people coming to collect items on Freegle.
Not sure if I have a CO monitor near my boiler in the garage.
Going to deep clean the cloakroom and put stuff back in there. Then at least I will have one room completely finished although one of the bulbs in there has stopped working.

Thank you for all your comments re the chimney. I have found a local chimney sweep who is coming next week. I haven't used the stove since the smoking incident and the chimney sweep said it could have been because it hadn't been lit for so long and the flue was cold. Apparently there's a way of lighting after a long period of none-use! Anyhow hopefully will all be sorted next week.
Have had to clear the furniture out of the lounge as I am having some plastering done tomorrow. Of course, normal people would be able to put it on the other room but I couldn't even open the door properly let alone get anything in. I spent the whole afternoon bringing everything out that didn't even belong to me, sorting into bags and putting in the car ready to be returned. Also filled a bag for the CS. Still couldn't get any furniture in so it is squashed into the kitchen. I hope to goodness the builders don't open the front room door!
Have also decluttered the downstairs bathroom and given it a good clean so they can use it. It would be so nice to be able to have people in the house without it being a military operation beforehand - and so stressful! Oh well, one day hopefully.

@oceandreamer I understand your pain. One of the reasons I’ve not yet had the living room replastered (97 year old plaster on the walls now) is because there is no other room….downstairs is kitchen, living room and bathroom. The furniture will need to move to a) the garden or b) the shed (the shed is full) and I’ll need to get coordinate a dry spell and a plasterer.
Any tips for manifesting both gratefully received.

Sorry you weren't mentioned Mrs F.
Who knew cassettes would make such a comeback.
Something must have happened to my brain yesterday as I remembered to take the coffee pods to the recycling point at the shopping centre. I usually forget the first 5 times.
I picked up two empty recycling bags ready to start again.

Another day of rain and the wind has gotten up this afternoon
We had a old chair that was in the living room but at Christmas we have to take it out to put the Christmas tree in and haven't put it back so I put it FB marketplace and someone has picked it up this afternoon, amazing how much room we have now.
Need to get back on to the emails as I have let it slip over the last week and they have built back up so I get back on to the over the weekend
Take care everyone

Oh what a day - got absolutely soaked on my walks today.
Home now, catching up with some work even though it's my day off but honestly this will make my Monday much easier so it's worth it!
Burning a couple of candles in the living room so smells lovely and I'm also UU my stash of candles - win win!
No walks booked tomorrow so will spend the day pottering about the house in between walking my 2.
Really want to get the house in order before next Saturday as I'm away to a hot tub lodge for a week.
