Happy Birthday Sox.
I don't know where time goes or perhaps it just takes me much longer to do things in my old age.
Frogs eaten today, finished scraping old paint off the bay window frame. Gave the dining table 2 coats of wax, painted 2 charity shop picture frames black, finished painting the dressing table black. Found 2 postcards to put in the frames. Threw out 4 dreadful paint brushes, so rubbish, not worth cleaning. Dyed two pairs of jeans and a corduroy shirt black. Other than that I have been fighting with some knitting wool which I know is expensive but it's a shocker to use, it splits all the time.
Had a good chat with the builder. Priorities have changed, he is going to put some drainage in the front garden, build a retaining wall and lay a patio up to the house. he is also bricking up a window in the bathroom and drilling a hole through the wall for the new toilet. The rest of the garden and sheds will have to wait a while.

Hi all, not posted for a couple of days, Saturday and Sunday was dealing with personal stuff I won't go into here but no decluttering done apart from a load of messages on my phone deleted. Today I have done 3 sessions of ironing, kitchen bin, bathroom bin and bedroom bin emptied and a bin bag of plastic trays given to my friend K who uses them for planting seeds etc. Tea out with ex colleagues which was nice.
Tomorrow I am back at the dentist for the first appointment to sort out the crown, fingers crossed it all goes ok 😁
Sorry I haven't yet caught up with all the posts so I will say hugs to anybody who would like one and head to bed.

Monday was a chilly day with a high of 7°C (feeling 3°colder de to ESE wind) & a low of 4°C Nothing done today apart from watching all episodes of the new series of Father Brown on iPlayer 😔 DH made soup mainly vegetable with a few pieces of chicken - delicious 😋 Dinner was the last of the bolognaise sauce with conchiglie. charlies_tribe, hopefully the 2 cups of tea set you up for the day 🤞 Shame that DD2 didn’t let you help her, but at least she made a good start 👏 Fingers crossed that the shopping trip with DD1 wasn’t too onerous 🤞
Excellent decluttering DundeeDoll 👏 Good luck with the rest of the drawers 🍀
Willowtree222, excellent work sorting out the spare room & succeeding in making it a dual purpose room 👏 A Gold Star ⭐️ is on its way. Also well done on dealing with frogs 👏
Green_hopeful, sounds like you had a great Burns Night ☺️ & very impressed at how quickly you decluttered nearly everything that was brought in 👏 A wonderful idea to display the medals 😊
Good decluttering ladybird1106 👏
Excellent decluttering 2Scratters 👏 Well done on getting so much decluttered, a medal 🏅 is on its way. Hope the kitchen rebuild goes well 🤞
Brie, good job returning the unneeded frame rather than keeping it for Justin or Ron 👏Also great work clearing digital clutter 👏
tibawo, I don’t understand why Boo*s have made it so time consuming 😞 So well done on arranging to just leave a plastic bag full of blister packs 👏
Another busy day Florenceem, you got so much done 👏 Hopefully the builder can make quick adjustments to the gate so that it fits 🤞The PowerPoint for the COL sounds beautiful 😍
florianatwobob, I had to smile at This “ don’t have a straight wall anywhere in the house so everything needs adjusting. The lack of straight walls has been widely ahem ‘appreciated’ by my trades. That and the strength of bricks….” especially the underlined part 😅 Well done creating space in the freezer 👏
Floss, This “….Youngest & his lovely wife's renovation home is wider at the back than the front - they're the end of the terrace & the main road turns away at their end of their road.” sounds very odd 🤔
suzeesu2000, you lucky devil 😅
Wednesday2000, yippee to the new kitchen storage 🥳 Well done on being brave & decluttering decorative items 👏 Good luck with your ‘purging’ 🍀 Interesting reading🧐
florianatwobob, very MSE of the builders 👏
GrannyKate, sorry to hear that your plans for the day were disrupted so badly 😞 but well done on helping out so many family members 🥹 Also great work getting lots of laundry done 👏 Belated Happy Birthday to Sox!
Excellent decluttering ilovetea 👏 Remember, you can count whatever you like - if you are emptying indoor bins daily it is perfectly reasonable to count that 😊
Great work TC77, dealing with tadpoles to prevent them turning into frogs 👏
Excellent work vulpix 👏 Another busy day where you accomplished a lot ☺️ Good luck with the revised plans for the front garden 🍀 Shame about the expensive wool being difficult to knit with 😔
Excellent decluttering Liverpool_Anne 👏 Hopefully This “dealing with personal stuff I won't go into here” went as well as possible 🙏 Good luck at the dentist 🍀
BlueJ94, sorry to hear that you have been feeling so tired 😞 but what a lovely way to spend your evenings - snuggled up with the dogs & OH 🥹
Sleep tight 😴

Dreadful weather here.
I got up late as forgot to take my tablets until just before bed.
Going to try on all my new uniform and package up the returns.
I have to find paperwork for a form to be sent off.
My friend left the fireproof box in the porch on her way to work.
May attack the shelves in the office wardrobe - full of bits. I can sort paperwork in the evenings. Already on my second red recycling bag.
Weather is meant to be better mid afternoon so may venture to the post office.

Morning all. We're not even at the end of January and already at over 100 pages on the thread!
Plastering should be finished today and we'll mist coat it all over the weekend with the view to painting ceilings during next week and then cracking on with painting painting the weekend after. Carpets were ordered and waiting for them to come in so we can plan fitting dates around when we can get the painting done. Will also be taking a trip to the big Swedish shop tonight to buy new wardrobes as have some discount vouchers that need to be used by the end of January. So more stuff to store until the decorating and carpets are done.
DH spent most of the weekend carrying on with his loft boarding project thanks to his dad donating loft legs that he wasn't going to use. Managed to pick up some additional ones via FB marketplace for half price so he can carry on with that as and when. While he was up in the loft, I finally managed to organise the main food cupboard in the kitchen that's been a mess for almost a year. Didn't throw anything away and yet magically it looks like there's nothing in there, whereas before things were falling out every time you touched the doors! Reused the shelf risers we brought from the old house that have been stored under the stairs and now I know what we have and what needs using up. Think there might be a lot of baking on the horizon soon…I also set myself the challenge of using up all my herbal teas by the end of the month and I'm down to 6 teabags so think that's more than doable!
First sale of books from my parents house has resulted in £13.49 added to their decorating fund. I also need to try and list some other things for sale this week, as well as making a start on the big box of stuff I've earmarked for vinted. Speaking of the folks, my dad was very keen to tell me that he had a bonfire at the weekend to burn all his piles of paperwork that he didn't want to shred, took another trip to the dump and the charity shop donation bins last week and had loaded up the car with more stuff to go this week 😁 So proud of him in making progress. My mum has sorted some more clothes herself and is waiting on my aunt to go round and pick them up in case there's anything she wants so they're both making progress in their own way. Also spoke to our builder and he knows a couple of people he'd recommend in their area for the work they need doing, but also kind of sounded keen to help out himself so feeling a bit more relaxed about that bit when we've finished clearing things out.
Hope everyone is keeping warm and dry in this miserable weather.

Ruby, that sounds great progress from your parents - I love how your dad tells you what he's been up to!
Decluttered £s this weekend on new wastes & pipework under the kitchen sink. Still not finished but I can only kneel for a limited time.
I'm also about to unshelve my landing bookshelves as the decorators are due here tomorrow & Thursday, to paint the hall / stairs / landing and paper the bathroom. More money!
4 bags are ready for donation and a bag of old pillows is in my boot for the craft group to use as toy stuffing.

I have often thought horoscopes were a lot of tosh but then I read this about me and know it’s so true….You have always been a searingly-honest person and you’re taking this trait to new levels in the next decade, using your ability to get to the crux of things in the most positive way, and adding softer skills like persuasion and mediation to your blistering honesty, so you can expose tensions or conflict’s root causes and resolve them.
I particularly like (sort of) the searingly - honest and blistering honesty! I was wondering what I would be like if I took those to new levels but adding softer skills will hopefully temper what my brothers refer to as my p!tchiness.

To be honest I don’t pay attention to horoscopes usually either, Brie,🤣 but have read a couple lately that seemed quite accurate with how I’m feeling.🥰
