I did walk into town and posted my parcel and letter.
I needed cash to pay the builder so did that as well.
I have brought a load of stuff down from the office to sort through.
Just been editing the words about Mr F for the COL. That made me cry - don't think I will be able to speak at the COL.
Decluttered today - parcel tape, paperclips, paper folder x 10, paper and sellotape.

Well, i’d scheduled some time to complete mums attendance allowance form, pack up the vinted and do some ‘intense’ decluttering but this went completely to pot.
Mum has been in hospital and gets the ‘free’ carers that come out four times a day and a night for up to six weeks. They are supposed to come at scheduled slots e.g morning 9-11, lunch 1-3 etc. This was all agreed but now they just seem to turn up when they want e.g. 7.30 for breakfast. So i flagged this up. Was reassured this was just a one off. There’s lots of other stuff too and it’s just continuing. It is so infuriating. So I’m had to spend the time trying to sort this again. They even asked today if i was still intending on making a formal complaint as they had addressed the issues!
Hopefully will get more done tomorrow!
Don’t put it down - put it away!

Been in the tlc carriage for a looong time. Now looking for the naughty corner carriage - took 2 books back to the local book exchange and came home with 3 more plus 3 from the library having also renewed 2.
A charging cable out plus an old fly swat. More old papers used as firelighters. Food and toiletries uu going well and have been much more careful with SM shops, only getting what I really need.

Interesting reading tibawo as I'm trying to sort a care plan for an elderly friend who is currently in hospital. I'm sorry it isn't going smoothly for your mum, I'm concerned they are going to try and put her to bed at 4pm as she will get back out again. Asocial worker spoke to her yesterday which has caused her a lot of confusion so hasn't help matters, I had several rambling calls but didn't want to visit as I don't want them or her to think I'll carry on visiting daily if she comes home.
I sorted my overflowing book case reorganising books again this afternoon, I find it therapeutic! I did add twenty books to the CS and Petworth bags as well as a couple in the bin. However I think the others just got fatter and filled the gaps.
I've sorted my embroidery threads from several locations and decanted into on box, some will need sorted and untangled

@Florenceem When Mrs M passed I was determined I was going to speak at her COL and it was probably one of the hardest times in my life to do so. BUT, I am so glad that I did and was able to put my own personal touch to her memory. Having read your posts over many months I know how strong your love was for Mr F. I can't say that I can offer sage words of advice but I know that for me it gave me a great peace of mind, and I hope it does for you too. The strength of your faith will see you through this horrible time.
God bless

Still plodding on here but only the usual stuff leaving the house. Food, both left over Christmas items and from my rammed full freezers, is slowly being eaten and I'm doing my best to not buy anything to put in the freezers at the moment - I really need to generate some space in there. That said, I ended up making some more chicken liver cat treats as Gino was getting desperate for some more. 🤣
Seeds are slowly being decluttered into seed trays but then are cluttering up the work surface. It's going to be a month or so before they can go out.
Today's step forward was making a start on the garage area. It's far to small for the car; I could get the car in there but I wouldn't be able to open the door to get out! There's no front doors and the window at the rear fell out 6 months ago so it's a bit of a wind tunnel and along with the building works detritus, a lot of leaves have composted in there and it also collects the rubbish that people don't secure into the bags they put out. It's going to be my domestic recycling centre. 😁
Another couple of those large builders bags has been cut up and I now have 8 black bags waiting to be topped up with cat litter and then they can go out at the rate of 4 bags a month in the kerbside collection. The refuse collection restrictions are one of the reasons it takes so long to see any result. But there is space appearing and I will be transferring the wet wood from the back garden into that space to dry out before I put it into the car to take to the tip. Yes, it's still that sliding puzzle game being played. 🤣🤣 I only managed a couple of hours but there is a definite improvement and if - a very big if - it's dry I will start moving the rattan furniture and other wood bits into there tomorrow.
I still have to make the last batch of marmalade. Last year I made it all in a couple of days, ended up exhausted and the house went to pot but this year I'm taking more time and trying to keep up with all the other things that have to be done like the laundry etc..
It somehow feels as though it's wetter this year than last year or that might just be because I have more I want to be doing outside this year.
Well done everyone on your successes and hugs to those who need them. Dxx
PS. Has preview been scrapped or is it hidden somewhere else? I'm missing it; the black on white made it easier for me to proofread what I'd written.
