The SA jacket that I was sent in error was collected today.
I took Mr F's hearing aids and batteries to the Audiology Dept at the hospital.
I went to Out Patients as that was where I believed you returned hospital property. They weren't keen on accepting the items but eventually did after telling me that there was a collection bin outside for walking sticks - I was returning - a blanket, PJ bottoms and two gowns.
I decided to go to Dunhel. on the way home to buy a toilet roll holder and a towel holder + I stocked up on a diffuser refill.
I wanted white cotton gloves to wear when putting on my new tights - they had some in the first aid section at Boo..
Finally I went to M & - not a big selection of tights there.
Builder came round to fit the new side gate - he worked until dark and said - the wall is out so he has to alter the gate he made. So I still don't have a new gate - I hope it is worth waiting for.
My SA bestie sent me a power point for the COL - she has done a wonderful celebration of Mr F. She knew him so well. I did cry when watching it.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Florenceem I’m sure your gate will be worth the wait.I don’t have a straight wall anywhere in the house so everything needs adjusting. The lack of straight walls has been widely ahem ‘appreciated’ by my trades. That and the strength of bricks….. turns out that they were baked multiples times in their production process! One chicken decluttered from the freezer (turns out I ordered 2 in that big food shop!). The chook was done in the slow cooker and has provided a ‘roast’ for 4 and I’ve picked the bones clean and boxed up for ‘left over pie’ with some roasties and a drip of gravy. The remains of the bird are now back in the slow cooker to make stock which I may use in an otherwise veggie tagine.✒️ Declutter 2025 🏅👗 Fashion on the Ration 2025 61/66 coupons (5 coupons silver boots)✒️Declutter 2024 🏅🏅🏅(DSis 🏅🏅)

@florianatwobob Youngest & his lovely wife's renovation home is wider at the back than the front - they're the end of the terrace & the main road turns away at their end of their road.2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

I finally have some extra kitchen storage fitted today by a workman.
I spent the rest of the afternoon moving the pasta, rice, lentils etc... from the big freestanding cupboard to the new kitchen unit that was fitted to the wall.
I then looked around my house and started a new donation bag. I do like some of the decorative items I have, but I have too much of them. I freely let them go. I am supposed to "purge" this year, apparently. I will take that advice as there really isn't any point in holding onto anything that isn't serving you.

I suddenly thought that maybe I am doing too many classes as well. It was my new year resolution for 2025, but this is a new year so I am going to start choosing which activities interest me the most.

@Floss ours is slightly narrower at the back than the front too. It carries on up the garden with the far end of the back garden being narrower than by the house. Not so much that you notice unless out with a tape measure. Not sure what the reasoning was as we were built on farmland (late 1920s) and we were originally the end of the estate until the 1960s and one of the last houses finished. This is evidenced by a distinctly MSE approach to using up ends of skirting as doorframes! Surprisingly practical actually as the length of skirting is in the doorway to the sitting room from the hall/front door. It gets a lot of traffic but is remarkably undamaged for being nearly 100 years old.✒️ Declutter 2025 🏅👗 Fashion on the Ration 2025 61/66 coupons (5 coupons silver boots)✒️Declutter 2024 🏅🏅🏅(DSis 🏅🏅)

Evening all. Today went completely to pot and none of my plans to deal with frogs worked out. Took DGCs to school and went for a quick shop but ended up going to several shops including back to the one I started at. Then DGD3 rang to ask if I would take her to school at lunchtime then ex DIL rang to say could I take Calpol into school (near the other school I had just left!) for DGS4 who had a sore face - luckily I had just one dose left in the bottle. By the time I was home it was 2.30 and I wasn't in the mood for paperwork. I found a beef dinner in freezer from Boxing Day which was very nice heated up with some gravy. Friend (the one I am going to Madeira with) rang to ask about a concert but unfortunately I can't go as already booked up that weekend. We did have a nice chat. I seem to have done a mountain of washing and have lots drying around the place which won't go in the dryer. Children are back tomorrow pm until Thursday am. DS2 is sending lovely sunny pictures from their holiday - Dsis has horrible weather in Ohio like much of US.
I will start off with frogs in the morning. There are a lot of things lying around which need to be put away as well.
