Sunday continued: I spent 90 minutes watching the first two episodes of Father Brown on my iPad as I had missed them on TV. Then prepped & started cooking dinner - roast beef, roast potatoes & carrots, green beans, cabbage, Yorkshire puddings & DH made gravy. Having been very disappointed with my last batch of roast potatoes, I have to say that this time they were perfect - crispy on the outside & fluffy on the inside 😋 Wudupa.

QueenJess, great work in DS’s room 👏 I will keep everything crossed that you find time to complete the tidying/decluttering 🤞 I was rather pleased to read This “More bits in from sister and parents, but these are consumables that I will use up over time.” ☺️ at last ….. 🥳
Green_hopeful, thanks for satisfying my curiosity 😊 Such a shame about your soil 😔 “….. soil worst on the street” is not really what you want to hear 😞

Good morning!
Thank you @Mrs_Salad_Dodger I'll book an appointment ASAP and thank you, I really hope DC5 gets the job too but they're to impatient, we filled it all in, I helped write a cover letter (never done one before) but when in came to uploading CV DC5 just used the basic one that Ind@@d gave them. It only has contact details and GCSE results on. As its at the hospital I tried to encourage them to expand it but they just wanted to get it sent off last night.
I couldn't sleep so been up over and hour. Thought id be productive, instead ive just drank 2 cups of tea. Yesterday wasn't as productive as Saturday. I did get lots of washing done and tried to help DD2 with a bit of her bedroom but she wasn't letting me help at all. She did do half an hour on her own though, she took out all her rubbish and sorted through her toiletries bag.
Well i better go make some lunchboxes up and wake some teens. Im supposed to be going shopping with DD1 after but I really don't feel like it.

delutter # 22/365 kitchen drawer - 14 medium to large knives in addition to the 7 (which we use) in the knife block plus 6 pairs kitchen scissors plus 2 pizza slices (which i never use as i find kitchen scissors much easier) - it's amazing we could get anything out of that drawer! Still 8 drawers to go (I went for under counter drawer units rather than cupboards hence so many drawrs) but definitely winning. hooray.
counted yesterday's plastic bags - 23!!! 4 saved, 19 will be offered to church then if not needed there CS20*25 for 2025: 489 / 50014 -
One drawer sorted and some items binned.
The weekend was mostly about making the spare room tidy and also making it work as a dual office and bedroom space. I measured and found a way to make it work in both capacities so it has now been sorted. That did mean that a piece of furniture needed a new home and downstairs has been rearranged to accommodate it.
The living room standing lamp broke too. The string to switch it on snapped so it has been added to the garage "tip run" items.
There are a couple of things I need help with some when my dad comes next week, he is going to help. It is just awkward things that can't be done individually.
A couple of frogs completed today.September 2017 Debt = £25330

We had people over for a Burns Night supper on Saturday. We got given wine, beer, chocolates, a plant, some lilies and some roses. Most of the booze and the chocolates were eaten on the night. We can’t have lilies because they are poisonous to cats so I gave them to one next door neighbour and the plant to our other neighbour. I kept the roses but pleased to have decluttered everything else. The airer thing finally went on freecycle. I delivered it so they couldn’t ghost me. I don’t understand why people ask for something and then don’t respond. Anyway at least it isn’t cluttering up the utility. We have quite a few medals from my father in law’s family. I would like to mount them in a frame. I have found a frame that I think would work. They are just chucked in a box so I got them all out and worked out who they belonged to. Its a bit annoying because all the records are behind a paywall. But I think I have got it all straight.12

Tried washing a toy that was grubby, even vanish couldn’t get it out. In the bin it went. Plus a mirror that’s reflective surface is coming way.

Well today saw the stuff from my boot leave. Improved consumption no doubt. 2 bags dropped off separately at the CS as I used the small one to see if it was open. Dropped off recycled blister packs at boots, no I didn't use by boots card for rewards CBA with the tech to be honest. Dropped off the 2nd and very big bag of clothes at same CS. Did a tip run on the way out comprising of a full c02 fire extinguisher, a commercial heater. Carpet and underlay, Dyson hoover never did like it only 18months old. All gone from the back of the house. Yay! go me! I've told DH that the rubble bags will be going on Wednesday. They will fit in my car. Some items have gone from the toiletries.
I purchased 6 x 30 litre storage boxes for the living room, they will have a new job to do when this task is completed. This is for the items that have come from the kitchen dismantlement. I will be able to see items quicker as they are see through so will help me use them up. 1 box binned and 2 shopping bags relinquished into the loft for their next job. At least the lounge looks better for it.
The ironing pile is looking at me and before it grows any bigger I should pay it some attention.

Had to buy a frame for a painting I'd bought (by my art teacher) and ended up buying 2. She very nicely decided which was the best and framed the painting in a very professional way - much better than I would have done. Today the un-needed frame was returned for a refund. While I was there I also bought new kitchen scales which I'll check if it's just a battery problem with our old ones - we keep getting an ERR message with them even with a new(ish) battery. Once I know what the problem is one scale will be returned or binned, which ever is appropriate.
Had 22 junk emails to block this morning. No idea why some days I get so many. I should clear out my deleted folder as well.....(613!!! now done!)
Also still need to chew more on those frogs - book MOT (system won't let me pick the garage I want!), transfer sum for farm bills (long story), and finish my tax assessment!!! Oh and renew home insurance - again another one that won't let me do so online!I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. @2Scratters glad to see it’s not just me who takes the blister packs to Boots. Mum goes through so many. I have even arranged to just leave the plastic bag with them rather than spend ages putting them in the slots!
I do use the boots recycle on the hard plastics when we need to stock up on the basics as usually same price as supermarket but get 500 points too.Don’t put it down - put it away!
